Nope92 the Swamp thing comics are mostly all the magical elements mixed with excellent horror elements but it just mainly has a lot of the DC magical characters like Constantine, The House Of Mystery, Zatana etc..
if you love magical landscape of DC, you guys could read Book of Magic 1990 by Neil Gaiman at readonline.com. Great art and story to introduce us to DC Magic World. also Reign in Hell, Day of Judgment

Bs - Not to be a downer but dont get too hyped. I won't say that it'll be terrible but the first 3 years are so much better than the rest. It's just not the same without Tom Taylor
I really liked year 4, I agree with you on year 5 though.
My biggest gripe with the rest of the story is how out of character the heroes under Superman's regime were. Superman didn't brainwash them nor were they under any emotional manipulation. They sort of just turn into dummies. The writer failed to include reasoning to back-up the logic of these characters. This feel like a product time constraint or just plain laziness. The story could've been so much deeper. If you play the game then just look at Batman's "new" team (don't want to spoil anything here), that's how those heroes are supposed to be.

Just subscribed Rob ( and liked of course ) I've been reading / collecting comics since about 1975 ( wow when did I get old , in my mind I'm still about 15 LOL ) and I have to say I totally enjoy watching your reading / takes on a lot of my favorite characters . You have a great voice and your personality really adds to your shows . You seem to find the right time to add a joke or laugh at something in the comic at the right time . Bill Montgomery I agree he has a good way about explaining the stories and giving you some background on characters you might not have a lot of knowledge about , although we've seen a lot of origin stories since we started reading comics that's for sure ! LOL !

Same. He and plastic man are some of my favorite minor(?) Characters. Maybe I'm just a fanboy, and I haven't watch this whole series yet, but I don't think he's actually dead. I don't really think he can be killed, because that kinda implies he's alive. Is whatever projection he put out/his body destroyed. Probably. Is he incapacitated? Maybe. Do I think he's gone? No. At least I hope not, that'd be lame.

So in the New 52 you get an interesting introduction of various Presence created entities (The Phantom Stranger, The Spectre, Eclipso, that other guy who turns out to be God's Mercy/Redemption (His name escapes me atm).) It's cool b/c when you look at how each of them functions as an element of the Presence it makes for some fun story telling if writers actually did something with it. Phantom Stranger = God's Will, The Spectre = God's Vengeance, Eclipso = God's wrath and the other dude = God's Mercy. I'd love to see someone expand more on these concepts in DC Rebirth and help create a completely fleshed out cosmic landscape as clearly defined as Marvel's. I say this a fan of all things magical lol. Also, have you ever realized that Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazaam occupy the same Pantheon? There's literally a moment in the New 52 where no one can find Aquaman and Wonder Woman show's up and is like "Hey, the only reason I could find you is because you're using Poseidon's power." It's one of the coolest moments b/c it's the first time (to my knowledge and outside of Flashpoint) that you realize how close Atlantis and the Amazons are to each other. Additionally, I know we're all waiting for Shazaam to pop back up in DC Rebirth but you never really see any interaction between Wonder Woman and Shazaam and you'd think it would happen since he's basically mainlining her families powers. Technically, she should be able to track him down the same way she did Aquaman. Someone should look into that. lol.

After seeing The Spectre's power, it makes it for badass when the Enchantress says "Even the Spectre fears me"
this issue really hammered home a lot of my issues with Injustice
mostly how everyone just sides with Superman a guy who by this point has violated every rule in the book when it comes to super heroing. its so fucking stupid and it annoys me to the core.
and of course Wonder Woman being a complete idiot and basically going "welp the Joker's dead I guess mass murder by proxy is okay now."

I dunno; the theme of "good heroes gone bad" is a rather mature topic as well- especially with all the WTF moments Injustice has.
