Another reason why "Michael" here in Daniel 12 is most likely Jesus: He is called "The Prince of Thy People" (that is, the Prince of the Jews). At His crucifixion, Jesus becomes "The King of the Jews". A "Prince" is a "King" in waiting. So, in a way, Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection was His Coronation, from Prince of the Jews, to King of the Jews.
