this episode is actually one of the things that got the entire reaction genre going when it aired! book fans had been waiting patiently for all of their friends & family to have their hearts broken, pointed a camera at their horror, and started a new sub-section of youtube that your squad lives in today!
That's actually not true. It certainly expanded it yes. But the first "reaction" video which started the genre was a video of a guy recording his roommate's outrage of Ned's head getting chopped off in season 1. This episode became the one that was the most anticipated after it aired and definitely made GOT even more popular and the premiere "reaction" show but the genre was already established although still very new.
@@bryce253 oh cool! i did not know that, but it entirely makes sense that book fans would be looking forward to that shocker first. haha i've just been passing on the fun fact internet lore ever since i first heard it.

Bran is the heir, but everyone thinks he and Rickon are dead. So Sansa is considered the heir to Winterfell. That is why Tywin was so eager for her to marry into the Lannister family.
How to find Game of Thrones fans at a wedding? 1. Close the doors 2. Play "Rains of Castamere" 3. Count the people turning their heads and getting pale.
"He's a little piss on, he's not a real threat to the story at all." Well, by his own admission to Catelyn; "Your family has always pissed on me. Don't deny it!"
Ever since Bliss announced that she was pregnant, I was worried for how hard it would be for her to watch this one, especially with a pregnant Talisa getting stabbed in the belly. I'm glad it wasn't too terrible, and she didn't see a lot of that part!
In the books the dead of grey wind is more meaningful, before rob pass his last words where grey wind, taking in consideration all stark children are wargs, as bran in the series, so apparently is mind went to grey wind just to find a second dead, making this whole thing even more fu***** sad. 😭
My sense of humor is twisted, I think it would be so funny if somebody cued up The Rains of Castamere during their own wedding. How many necks would snap around from guests who suddenly started to sweat I wonder 😆🤣
sweet summer children no more 😭😭 the moment Grey Wind dies and you see him let out that one last 'growl' from under the gate door as he slowly closes his eyes.. that one just always gets me 😔😔 however, its ok lol because The Red Wedding indicates S4 is just around the corner.. and man oh man is S4 a good one!!! on to the next one!!! ⚔🗡❤🔥💙❤❤🔥🗡⚔
This is the episode that pretty much normalized reaction videos from here on out. Reactions to this episode actually made the national news the next day it was so huge. Just wait. There’s more twists to come!
I suppose comments leading up to this episode always take some of the fun out of it and give away something big happening that’s inevitable but still fun watching
Well... you handled it pretty well, I guess... if we pass on Trin being destroyed, Luke silently raging and Bliss in total shock... first time I saw it I kinda knew what to expect... then a few years later, we watched it again with my best friend... He couldn't speak for something like half an hour, tears rolling on his cheeks, and then he was raging for at least an hour against the showrunners 😆 So you took it pretty well 😉 Love from France 💗
I'm impressed by how well you could anticipate something bad would happen! I was much more surprised when I saw this, I must just be a much more oblivious viewer than you all are. Glad we finally got here! Fantastic reaction!
The first thought of many of us, who have been here since the first episode, was "Yay, we're gonna watch these three experience S3E9 for the first time!" And here we are, months later, with THE episode that every fan of the show remembers the most. Not disappointed. Keep going!
Your reactions are one of my favorite parts of my week! I need more of the Squad! The reaction you had to this one was ALL OF OURS and "speechless" absolutely nails what everyone I know was thinking at that very moment. Can't wait to see more!
The episode that made Game of Thrones into a global phenomenon... literally everyone was talking about this episode when it first aired... it broke the Internet. 🤣
No Robb said that if he was to had die that he would want his brother jon snow to be the next king of the north but his mom didn’t want that to happen he supposedly sent a letter to a person to go to caslte black to inform Jon the news
Can I just say that while Luke and Bliss drive this reaction train and they are very good at what they do Trin is the engine that makes it go , her low-key energy, snarky humor, and quiet insight is top notch lol
Fun fact - The band that's playing at the wedding feast is actually Coldplay. The Song of Ice and Fire book series is written from the point of view of different characters experiencing these events. The chapter where The Red Wedding appears is written from Cat's perspective. She mentions in the book that the band playing at the wedding feast sucked. Depending on ones opinion of Coldplay you'll potentially find their casting in the role hilariously accurate.
@@gregweatherup9596 ah…. I always thought all of them were in the scene, but in actuality you are correct. The drummer was in the scene but the rest of the band was off screen but on set at the filming of the Red Wedding.

The show can be so hard to watch sometimes and you really have to be in for the long run for some silver linings. Bran is the heir, but the point is that nearly everyone thinks he is dead and in the eyes of "the players" Sansa is the heir. Lord Walder is indeed no threat in the story, he's just a shit, but then he did kill some of the characters we root for. To end with something light: Do you have a name for your choir? You guys did sound nice, something we would like to hear more! Warm regards from the Netherlands!

The actress who played Catelyn put in a baller effort. No matter her errors from Jon, to Ned, to trading off Jamie, she was defending her family and name, and owned her mistakes. She also held a knife by the blade to help save Bran. It’s tough to stay mad at her. Her final wail-Aaaaaaauuuuuuuugh!
