This story really speaks to me about just how far our standards for achievement have fallen over the years. We live (at least I, an American live) in a culture that far and away prizes not feeling anything resembling bad ever above actually accomplishing a damn thing that's actually worthwhile. And I absolutely hate it.

LIve From Here junk? Hardly. You can't make a comparison. "Live From Here" is a show that concentrates on music more than storytelling. Chris Thile understands that he can 't be Garrison Keillor. He's not a story teller. I don't understand why some people make comparisons when both shows are very different. That's why it's "Live From Here," not "Prairie Home Companion." What did you expect?
How many creative Geniuses are assholes in real life? Does that mean that we neo-serfs, vulgus, should be deprived of what little pleasure we can still afford? Garrison Keillor's replacement on public radio is a fine fellow I am sure but I doubt that his best day will ever be even somewhat close to Garrison Keillor's worst.
Another victim of someone being "offended" by Garrison, a super sweet guy, giving her a pat on the middle of her back. Shoot, a guy in church did that to me the other day as a friendly hello gesture. Jeeeez get over yourselves people...a guy loses his JOB over that??????? Where is the backlash from the public. We are all ostriches these days not defending people who lose a job even if an apology follows and their history does not show a perv. I'm ashamed of us all not doing an "outcry" in Garrison's defense. Maybe WE are the ones at fault these days.
Another TOUCHING performance
He'd make a great grandfather to gain wisdom from.
Thanks
