It's the likes of Eddie Lyons that will keep Cork City looking like something from Game of Thrones. That fucking Brewery is an eyesore . Can't wait for this to rejuvenate the city.
If Cork had this it could attract big live music events people could travel to Cork from all over Munster instead of having to go to Dublin , it would fill up hotels all over the city .
Good vision for what could be achieved here. But I'm dubious about the loss of so much of the 19th century structure behind the facade of the Counting House -- sympathetic redevelopment of an existing historic structure is about a lot more than just retaining a facade. I would also like to see some information about how much archaeological excavation and recording would precede the development of the site, which, after all, occupies a major portion of the core of medieval Cork, including the part immediately adjacent to the South Gate Bridge. How much of the remains uncovered by an excavation, and the information recorded, would be used to present this key part of Cork's past to the public who are expected to use this development?

For God sake if we keep holding things up the city will never develop as it is Cork is falling behind Dublin by about 15 years .
