I didn't think I was gonna be a folding phone person but the ZFold 3 has changed my mind. I enjoy this phone and the exterior screen is not as bad as people claim. I personally like the narrow one handed handling.
Contrary to most, I actually love the narrow front screen plus I didn't pay almost $2000 for a superior camera, I paid almost $2000 for a phone that can fold (it was the best party trick at my sister in-laws wedding at which my phone still had the best camera besides the actual camera man with his DLSR camera)

As a fold 3 user I love the phone, not plannin on returning it, just missing the same features he mentioned basically but over all it's awesome. I just plan on upgrading my fold every time the new one comes out. With this trade in option Samsung has it's quite a good idea to upgrade like that.
Once yeah but I rather just use my pc instead, I can manage the stuff on my phone without dex, but I did try it out, it's really smooth and cool but I still prefer pc over it as it's still android based, many of the stuff I use on pc isn't on android obviously
I can't fully agree with the stigma of people having to baby it and be very careful with it like it's brand new. I've still got the OG galaxy fold fully working and haven't babied it. No case just a dbrand skin, chucked on the sofa, whacked onto side surfaces like a kitchen side. No damage... they're tougher than you think and the stigma of them being fragile (minus the inside screen) is unnecessary.
Just got my Z fold 3 this past week. I upgraded from a Note 9 and I couldn't be happier. I feel the same way that I did when I upgraded to my Note 9 from an old LG "smartphone" that I killed by dropping in a sink accidentally. Even more so. I feel like I've not only caught up, but am on the bleeding edge of tech in the future. Do I miss an integrated S pen? Yeah, but I don't mind too much having it separate as it's just another feature like the under display camera that Samsung is seeing if sticks.
Note 9 to a fold 3 is a very sensible upgrade, I went from.the note 10 myself, like you say, few things I miss, but would I go back? Probably not. Thanks for watching! 🍻
@@JRBowling1997 the s22 ultra is adequate and I don't have to open it. The content in the fold, when opened, is just bigger. There is not much value for my purpose. Maybe I'll come back to the fold 5 when the outside screen is a little bigger and the OS makes use of the inner screen. It's almost there. Hearing the fold 4 is not much different than fold 3, I'm just going to just trade it in. I wished they gave a little more for the trade in though.
2:31 if you pay $1500-$1600 for a phone with the purpose of it is to fold then you should not expect them to have all the other best bells and whistles. The point is that is should be a unique multi tasking do all phone. Do all does not mean do all best. This is also only the third iteration so no one should expect to be reciving a perfectly flushed out product when it comes to this new technology. If someone is not willing to deal with shortcomings of a new product then they should refrain from being an early adopter, simple as that.
I actually agree with this, I personally think the camera is fine as I said in the review, I just would have loved the option of a more flagship camera, even if it meant a 'fold 3 pro' or something - Thanks for watching Kyle!
Samsung had a 21-day trial period where you could return the Z Fold 3 and honestly I intended to play with it for 20 days and return it. It was an adjustment but now the Z Fold 3 is my daily driver. Performance has been rock solid. My biggest issue is that the S-pen does not fit into the phone. I would not trade it for an S22 Ultra but if the Z Fold 4 has an integrated S-pen I will trade up.

I’m expecting the hinge to be less noticeable on the fold 4. After seeing that Oppo find N , no one can tell me it can’t be done. The outer display should be wider and the battery life needs to be better. Having a built in S pen would also be nice. I still don’t expect them to add the ultra series cameras , but that would also be nice.

@@shah5757 with the way Samsung has been doing things lately I’d be surprised if that was the case honestly. I mean the s22 ultra is just the note 20 ultra all over again minus the sd card slot. They do the bear minimum but want us to pay for their devices.
@@TechItEasyCollective A reliable source who released some bona fide leaks on the soon to be (4-6 months) released fold 4. Its true. Samsung are adding invisible layers of silicon strips to the screen to make it invisible. Technically it will still exist but given the multiple layers of silicon sheets placed on top the the screen it will literally be invisible at any angle in any lighting. Amongst the other changes are 30%+ battery life and a marginally (0.01%) larger screen. UDC's will also be added to the front screen. The fold 4 will be the blockbuster foldable.
The folding aspect and bigger screen display just bring another dynamic to a redundant phone experience. There's better phones spec or ergonomic wise but how much better can things be for typical use? If you're a media consumer, once you unfold you're hooked. The real estate size of having two apps side by side is undefeated. It's like having two more front screens. Though I'd never say get the latest edition at full price. No phone is worth close to $2k, let alone $1k
I just love the Fold 3. I've had all the Notes, but the Fold now with S-Pen is the ultimate. Very good & honest review. And yes, Rolling screen devices will be awsome!
I can't go back to a typical phone now, the spare screen is just such a feature I can't let go, a tablet and phone in one is just huge win. My biggest gripe going from my s21u to this was realistically the camera, but now with the s22 camera rumoured to be in the fold4 we will have best of both worlds

I swapped in my s21u for the fold, honestly the experience is worth the loss of the camera and few other small things, gaming it's a power house, same chipset then as s21 but better thermal cooling due to greater surface area, after nearly year of owning it I'll honestly say my only gripe is I wish the front screen was bit wider, and wish it did have the ultra camera at times, overall I love it dearly

The crease is same as iPhones notch it literally blends in with use, when facing Front on and screen is on you won't notice the screen but even when you do I find majority of users don't care or notice it consciously, the screen size is bit thin compared to normal ratio sized screen, so your keyboard is bit tight, best bet is to go to a store and play with a demo to see if it fits your hand nicely
Honestly, I've been daily driving the z fold 2 as my main device for a year now. I got it used and honestly even with no ip rating the device has been durable with the few drops on the concrete with a this plastic case with no hinge protection and the device hasn't broken. For me got use to the thin outter display and apps not fitting sometimes is okay with me as it's part of he device. Battery gets me through a work day. Coming from my xs max the z fold 2 has been great.
Im sorry but i have small hands and when i held the Fold3.. i told myself its NOT ANNOYING too big at all. Maybe because i just like technology advancing and I also set my expectations before I even held it myself that it might be annoyingly big.
The front screen keyboard issue is no worse than some of apples phones and ipods that people call the most amazing and innovative products ever, people be nitpicking over the keyboard.
The whole is greater than the sum of the parts! The Fold3 has not only replaced my last phone AND my ipad mini that i used to use for work, but i now dont even TOUCH my larger galaxy tablets that ive been using for media consumption and games. Im MORE than happy to fork over a bit more money for an S Pen and a case to store it for more functionality and features!

I bought my Xperia 1 ii in 2020 and I still love the phone to bits, Ive given it hell and it has survived everything, but god damn I would love to buy this phone and Im pretty close on switching.. I could get 600 euros off the price if I return my Sony, which makes this me even more eager to make the plunge.
As for typing I switched to SwiftKey, because the stock Samsung keyboard suxxxx. It's way too small on front screen. Also I've dropped mine multiple times on the floor no issues. That gorilla glass victus is amazing. That being said..... I'm still heavily checking out the surface duo 2, because of the Kindle app and emulation. Otherwise the zf3 is an AMAZING phone to have.
I have a Note 20U and am looking to upgrade to either a S22U or ZFold3. Love my notes over the years. S pen isn't a huge loss for me cause I rarely find myself using it. I'm just wondering what people's thoughts are now the 22 has been out for a bit. Help a brother out?
How's watching video on it? I'm considering buying one but it might be a deal breaker for me if video content just gets cropped to the size of a normal phone due to the square-ish design
The reason why the cameras don't have flagship specs is because of the cost - Z fold 2 was $2000 on release, and yet a significantly better Z fold 3 costs $1800, had that not been the price, A LOT of people would not have considered buying it.

Great and funny Review! I also like the videos about the different watchfaces! I want this Smartphone so much but now I'm a bit afraid because of the dust under the display thing! Can you explain what exactly happend please. Is it visible or does it left any damage on the the screen?
I work from home and sometimes I go out and about. When the S22 ultra was announced I pre ordered it. Last week I canceled, no way I can handle zoom calls on my phone and take notes at the same time. Not to mention, screen share works a lot better on the fold due to the screen real estate.
I've got a fold 3, so maybe it comes as no surprise I would advocate for the fold 3. With the larger display the spen makes sense and I use my laptop significantly less. I would struggle to go back to a non folding phone now.
Hi, well I’m thinking we’re not tooooo far off the Z Fold 4 release at this point, and I’m hoping the main issues raised with the Fold 3 will be resolved with this next version of the phone. An S-Pen housed within the phone like the S22 Ultra, with the ability to use it on the cover screen and main screen; cameras of the same quality as the S22Ultra; a slightly larger device which enables the cover screen to be wider; better battery life; and the same brightness potential as the S22 ultra. If most or all of these issues can be addressed whilst maintaining the current price point, I think more people will choose it. With the potential release date of August, it seems far wiser to wait for for the Z Fold 4 :)
I've now been using the z fold 2 since launch, and I'm tired. The outer screen is unusable for me, typing on the go is a nightmare while I was working from home. It was fine, but trying to type while walking is not a pleasant experience. It is through a productivity power house and easily the best media consumption mobile device hands down. On saying that going back to the real world post covid, back on the go, the outer screen is too small, and the inner screen is too big! I can't browse social media on public transport without being worried about privacy, which left me using the outer screen, and that's just a no! So though I'm glad I got to experience a folding phone the last few months have been extremely frustrating, the dimensions of the phone out weigh the practicality which is why I've Pre-ordered the Samsung galaxy s22 ultra I'm done. Those who have just got the phone and disagree with me, I don't blame u but if u are a person on the go, then give it a year or so before condemning me lol

I'm sitting in a restaurant watching Z Fold 3 vs. S22 Ultra videos. You can get crazy looking at and comparing stats but ultimately its about how enjoyable it is to use this phone. The camera is good enough to not be a deal breaker for me. But I can't find another phone where I would have this much space to write on with my S-Pen, this large a screen to watch video and TV, and with my Supcase with S-Pen Storage it feels like a Galaxy Note. Definitely sticking with my Z Fold 3!!!
I bought a s22 ultra coming from a s20plus ..but I always wanted a fold..and the coming of fold 4 made it possible for me to buy an affordable fold 3... I had buyers remorse when I got the s22 ultra..nothing wrong with that phone in fact its the perfect phone...but I wanted to experience the fold. Now coming to fold 3 I had that seeping feeling of buyers remorse again and wanted the 22 ultra back ... cause of the battery on the fold 3 and coming from 22 ultra its even more noticeable . So I trade in the s22 ultra (the beautiful cameras,display,stylus,screen ,battery,design) for the Fold 3 (am I an impulsive idiot?) Now I'm confused should I go back to s22 ultra (the perfect child) or keep the fold 3(a HOT mess) especially in 2022 ... also I should point out although the fold 4 has been out in other countries Pakistan where I live has still to have fold 4 and even when it will it'll be much more expensive than what is sold internationally e.g if a fold 4 costs £1800 in UK it will cost like £2400 equalent in Pakistan and that too with the 256GB model not the 512gb and I won't even mention the 1tb version that's just impossible territory for a phone .
I almost upgraded my S9 Plus to the 22 ultra and then decided I'm going to wait for the zfold4. I already have my phone in one of the wallet cases with the credit card holders so what I carry now is probably way thicker than this is anyway.

As an long term iphone user I’ve been tempted to try the z fold 3 but I’m holding up to move on once I see the next Z FOLD 4.. I really hope Samsung gives it a lil wider front screen and includes an built in S-PEN..
I traded my Z fold 2 for a 3 and I got so many freebies. I was very happy and satisfied with my purchase. Also the 3 is significantly lighter and less bulky. I prefer the almost hidden camera on the inner screen. The punch hole on the fold 2 annoyed me sometimes. I hope Samsung finally perfects the under display camera. My Fold is accompanied by a smaller and super light S21. I try to avoid using the fold when I'm in public because it attracts attention. Strangers are fascinated by it. Anyway, friends would always ask me to photograph them with it because the pictures looked so vibrant and clear quality even at night. No complaints so far. I also use this phone for work. Sending documents is a breeze with Samsung's Tap to Scan. And most importantly, watching UA-cam, Netflix, IQiyi and other KDrama apps on the Fold is satisfying than watching it on a regular phone. Can't wait to see what Samsung would come up next with the Fold 4. Fighting!
My favorit phone ever i just switched from the iphone 12 pro max. And the samsung switch with one drive had 1.2tbs of photos from icloud to my fold in 1.5 hours
I think the samsung galaxy fold, Z fold 2 and Z fold 3 are definitely not as fragile as most would have you believe. I dropped mine on a concrete floor from about 4 feet while working out and once on my porch, nothing happened to it. Both times i had a thin kick stand case on it. I now have a U.A.G Tough armor case on just incase and it's not to bulky.👍 Great phone and is my favorite phone out since the fold 1.
The missus almost never uses the front external screen other than that she loves it. Personally no s pen support on front screen, the cameras and potential internal screen cracking has me worried about getting on myself
I couldn't agree more with everything you said. I'd love to buy it, but I have a slightly different vision of a foldable phone. And I hope, Samsung will improve in the upcoming generations.
too big then it defeats the whole purpose of it being a phone. The huawei x2 has an 8 inch display but for me it would be too large to carry around all day.
trading my zf3 for and s22 ultra for a big trade in loss. I think the s22 ultra is the better phone. fold phone needs bigger screen on the outside with a place to store a pen.
I have accidentally thrown my z3 in the fryer iv dropped it 3/4 times without a case and it works perfectly I can't say everyone will get the same results but for me it's been very reliable

Good video. Very good points. Personally I have gone to the S22 Ultra from the Fold 3. Between my worry and annoyance in the hinge seam on the screen along with durability and the narrow front screen, along with my terrible battery life and the huge compromise in cameras, I decided to switch. The cameras are so good on the S22 Ultra! The battery is lasting me double to triple of the Fold. And the glass is so smooth on the S22 Ultra. I do miss that inner screen size though. Perhaps my terrible battery life was from the fact that I used the inner screen 80% of the time. I hated the outer screen that much!. Really I didn't mind the weight or the size, I just couldn't deal with those compromises. Give me a 6.8in outer screen with a fold out option and maybe we can talk.

i cant wait for rollable phones. has all the upsides of a foldable and then some (phone can roll out into different aspect ratios and get rid of black bars) without the downsides of a foldable
The only thing that annoys me on this phone is the inabillity to shoot 4k@60fps with the ultrawide camera EDIT 4:16 took it for 3 weeks on a beach vacation last year...no issues whatsoever P.S. perfect device to watch Zack Snyders's Justice League

Funny you have the exact same view as me. I had a note 10+ as well. Got this phone and now I'm going to the S22. My foldable glass started cracking at the crease. I have a black line going down the screen. 300 to get a new one. Pre oreder deals are too good. I'll still have this fold. I will do an insurance claim eventually. Use the Fold 3 as a extra screen in my car.
I have a note 20 ultra and I'm waiting to see what the fold 4 brings before I make any choices about a new phone as the s22 ultra feels like a down grade

I had no problems with the battery drain when you using that 120 yeah it's going to drain hell I just put it back on the damn charger I don't know what's the issue was about people that it's not all day phones just bring your charger or your USB cord

i never open my z fold 3 anymore, and i dont like the front display. sooo im gonna change to the S22 Ultra. But it is a nice phone.
I miss the cameras on my note 20 ultra, and I miss the housing for the s pen, but I love the large screen and the thinner candy bar style when it's folded, it fits better in my pocket then the n20u, but I too am eyeing the s22u

The starting assumption about this phone needing to fit with one's lifestyle is in a way flawed. We can own two phones to fit two lifestyles. I own both fold 3 n S22 ultra. Need a tablet, fold 3. Need to zoom 100x, S22 ultra. But u need deep pockets to hold both phones. It's like owning both a smartwatch n Rolex. U use them for different occasions. And regarding dust resistance, I own so many flagship samsung phones that has no dust resistance rating back then, n dust had not been an issue. These phones got retired never due to damage from dust, but to upgrade to next flagship. Hahaha
I hate the alternate spen frequency. I invested alot of money in 3rd party and upgraded spens and equipment. Ive always had note phones, an sceeries tablet and now i bought a samsung galaxy book flex 15 cuz i hated the surface pro pen and that i needed to carry multiple pens for my devices. Fast forward a few months and i trade in my note 10plus for the fold 3 only to find out my other spens are obsolete and i needed to buy the $100 SPen Pro to have a universal spen... I pray the fold 4 has the traditional tech and a silo to store the spen. And have you pushed a fold compatable spen tip in? the reason they changed frequencies is so people dont stab their dcreen with a traditional spen who the hell write/and or draws with that much pressure on the tip? Psychopaths, that's who. Its a plastic tip on glass who doesn't know to be gentle? I also wish it worked onvthe outer screen. Screen off memo is pointless now. I love it and likely will not go back to the traditional brick phone but i really hope they do a better job of integrating the spen on the 4. There are times i feel like i had a better phone and have a better tablet but now have a gimmicky 2 in 1 to replace them. Its still sweet. Just got a case that wasnt the one that came with the fold edition spen, which is the worst case of all time. Got a 3rd party fale leather that jas a pouch for the pen on the back and i have the oem silicone 2 piece case. I didnt want to invest more $ and get the leather model cuz i want the 4
Love my z fold 3 when you go places people just amazed by the damn phone they ask you questions about it but overall I love this phone the cameras is straight to me I'm not a picture taking guy so the cameras is on the phone are perfect they straight they take nice clear pictures and what else do you want the s pen yeah they could have put it inside the phone but I'm cool with that I got one of the cases where the s pen go on the side
Everything in this world works like that. You dont buy Ferrari to take your kids to school, or a Rolls Royce to race on a track. There are no things in this world that are perfect for everything.

Samsung had a 21-day trial period where you could return the Z Fold 3 and honestly I intended to play with it for 20 days and return it. It was an adjustment but now the Z Fold 3 is my daily driver. Performance has been rock solid. My biggest issue is that the S-pen does not fit into the phone. I would not trade it for an S22 Ultra but if the Z Fold 4 has an integrated S-pen I will trade up.

I’m expecting the hinge to be less noticeable on the fold 4. After seeing that Oppo find N , no one can tell me it can’t be done. The outer display should be wider and the battery life needs to be better. Having a built in S pen would also be nice.
I still don’t expect them to add the ultra series cameras , but that would also be nice.

@@shah5757 with the way Samsung has been doing things lately I’d be surprised if that was the case honestly. I mean the s22 ultra is just the note 20 ultra all over again minus the sd card slot. They do the bear minimum but want us to pay for their devices.
@@TechItEasyCollective A reliable source who released some bona fide leaks on the soon to be (4-6 months) released fold 4. Its true. Samsung are adding invisible layers of silicon strips to the screen to make it invisible. Technically it will still exist but given the multiple layers of silicon sheets placed on top the the screen it will literally be invisible at any angle in any lighting. Amongst the other changes are 30%+ battery life and a marginally (0.01%) larger screen. UDC's will also be added to the front screen. The fold 4 will be the blockbuster foldable.
The folding aspect and bigger screen display just bring another dynamic to a redundant phone experience. There's better phones spec or ergonomic wise but how much better can things be for typical use? If you're a media consumer, once you unfold you're hooked. The real estate size of having two apps side by side is undefeated. It's like having two more front screens. Though I'd never say get the latest edition at full price. No phone is worth close to $2k, let alone $1k

My biggest gripe going from my s21u to this was realistically the camera, but now with the s22 camera rumoured to be in the fold4 we will have best of both worlds

I swapped in my s21u for the fold, honestly the experience is worth the loss of the camera and few other small things, gaming it's a power house, same chipset then as s21 but better thermal cooling due to greater surface area, after nearly year of owning it I'll honestly say my only gripe is I wish the front screen was bit wider, and wish it did have the ultra camera at times, overall I love it dearly

The crease is same as iPhones notch it literally blends in with use, when facing Front on and screen is on you won't notice the screen but even when you do I find majority of users don't care or notice it consciously, the screen size is bit thin compared to normal ratio sized screen, so your keyboard is bit tight, best bet is to go to a store and play with a demo to see if it fits your hand nicely

Honestly, I've been daily driving the z fold 2 as my main device for a year now. I got it used and honestly even with no ip rating the device has been durable with the few drops on the concrete with a this plastic case with no hinge protection and the device hasn't broken. For me got use to the thin outter display and apps not fitting sometimes is okay with me as it's part of he device. Battery gets me through a work day. Coming from my xs max the z fold 2 has been great.

Im sorry but i have small hands and when i held the Fold3.. i told myself its NOT ANNOYING too big at all. Maybe because i just like technology advancing and I also set my expectations before I even held it myself that it might be annoyingly big.
The front screen keyboard issue is no worse than some of apples phones and ipods that people call the most amazing and innovative products ever, people be nitpicking over the keyboard.

The whole is greater than the sum of the parts! The Fold3 has not only replaced my last phone AND my ipad mini that i used to use for work, but i now dont even TOUCH my larger galaxy tablets that ive been using for media consumption and games. Im MORE than happy to fork over a bit more money for an S Pen and a case to store it for more functionality and features!

I bought my Xperia 1 ii in 2020 and I still love the phone to bits, Ive given it hell and it has survived everything, but god damn I would love to buy this phone and Im pretty close on switching.. I could get 600 euros off the price if I return my Sony, which makes this me even more eager to make the plunge.
As for typing I switched to SwiftKey, because the stock Samsung keyboard suxxxx. It's way too small on front screen. Also I've dropped mine multiple times on the floor no issues. That gorilla glass victus is amazing. That being said..... I'm still heavily checking out the surface duo 2, because of the Kindle app and emulation. Otherwise the zf3 is an AMAZING phone to have.

I have a Note 20U and am looking to upgrade to either a S22U or ZFold3. Love my notes over the years. S pen isn't a huge loss for me cause I rarely find myself using it. I'm just wondering what people's thoughts are now the 22 has been out for a bit. Help a brother out?

The reason why the cameras don't have flagship specs is because of the cost - Z fold 2 was $2000 on release, and yet a significantly better Z fold 3 costs $1800, had that not been the price, A LOT of people would not have considered buying it.

I want this Smartphone so much but now I'm a bit afraid because of the dust under the display thing! Can you explain what exactly happend please. Is it visible or does it left any damage on the the screen?
I work from home and sometimes I go out and about. When the S22 ultra was announced I pre ordered it. Last week I canceled, no way I can handle zoom calls on my phone and take notes at the same time. Not to mention, screen share works a lot better on the fold due to the screen real estate.

I've got a fold 3, so maybe it comes as no surprise I would advocate for the fold 3. With the larger display the spen makes sense and I use my laptop significantly less. I would struggle to go back to a non folding phone now.
Hi, well I’m thinking we’re not tooooo far off the Z Fold 4 release at this point, and I’m hoping the main issues raised with the Fold 3 will be resolved with this next version of the phone. An S-Pen housed within the phone like the S22 Ultra, with the ability to use it on the cover screen and main screen; cameras of the same quality as the S22Ultra; a slightly larger device which enables the cover screen to be wider; better battery life; and the same brightness potential as the S22 ultra. If most or all of these issues can be addressed whilst maintaining the current price point, I think more people will choose it. With the potential release date of August, it seems far wiser to wait for for the Z Fold 4 :)
I've now been using the z fold 2 since launch, and I'm tired. The outer screen is unusable for me, typing on the go is a nightmare while I was working from home. It was fine, but trying to type while walking is not a pleasant experience. It is through a productivity power house and easily the best media consumption mobile device hands down. On saying that going back to the real world post covid, back on the go, the outer screen is too small, and the inner screen is too big! I can't browse social media on public transport without being worried about privacy, which left me using the outer screen, and that's just a no! So though I'm glad I got to experience a folding phone the last few months have been extremely frustrating, the dimensions of the phone out weigh the practicality which is why I've Pre-ordered the Samsung galaxy s22 ultra I'm done. Those who have just got the phone and disagree with me, I don't blame u but if u are a person on the go, then give it a year or so before condemning me lol

I'm sitting in a restaurant watching Z Fold 3 vs. S22 Ultra videos. You can get crazy looking at and comparing stats but ultimately its about how enjoyable it is to use this phone. The camera is good enough to not be a deal breaker for me. But I can't find another phone where I would have this much space to write on with my S-Pen, this large a screen to watch video and TV, and with my Supcase with S-Pen Storage it feels like a Galaxy Note. Definitely sticking with my Z Fold 3!!!
I bought a s22 ultra coming from a s20plus ..but I always wanted a fold..and the coming of fold 4 made it possible for me to buy an affordable fold 3... I had buyers remorse when I got the s22 ultra..nothing wrong with that phone in fact its the perfect phone...but I wanted to experience the fold. Now coming to fold 3 I had that seeping feeling of buyers remorse again and wanted the 22 ultra back ... cause of the battery on the fold 3 and coming from 22 ultra its even more noticeable . So I trade in the s22 ultra (the beautiful cameras,display,stylus,screen ,battery,design) for the Fold 3 (am I an impulsive idiot?)
Now I'm confused should I go back to s22 ultra (the perfect child) or keep the fold 3(a HOT mess) especially in 2022 ... also I should point out although the fold 4 has been out in other countries Pakistan where I live has still to have fold 4 and even when it will it'll be much more expensive than what is sold internationally e.g if a fold 4 costs £1800 in UK it will cost like £2400 equalent in Pakistan and that too with the 256GB model not the 512gb and I won't even mention the 1tb version that's just impossible territory for a phone .
I almost upgraded my S9 Plus to the 22 ultra and then decided I'm going to wait for the zfold4. I already have my phone in one of the wallet cases with the credit card holders so what I carry now is probably way thicker than this is anyway.

As an long term iphone user I’ve been tempted to try the z fold 3 but I’m holding up to move on once I see the next Z FOLD 4.. I really hope Samsung gives it a lil wider front screen and includes an built in S-PEN..

I traded my Z fold 2 for a 3 and I got so many freebies. I was very happy and satisfied with my purchase. Also the 3 is significantly lighter and less bulky. I prefer the almost hidden camera on the inner screen. The punch hole on the fold 2 annoyed me sometimes. I hope Samsung finally perfects the under display camera. My Fold is accompanied by a smaller and super light S21. I try to avoid using the fold when I'm in public because it attracts attention. Strangers are fascinated by it. Anyway, friends would always ask me to photograph them with it because the pictures looked so vibrant and clear quality even at night. No complaints so far. I also use this phone for work. Sending documents is a breeze with Samsung's Tap to Scan. And most importantly, watching UA-cam, Netflix, IQiyi and other KDrama apps on the Fold is satisfying than watching it on a regular phone.
Can't wait to see what Samsung would come up next with the Fold 4. Fighting!
I luv my zfold 3 had it since day one. It's been my daily driver all this time and I'll never go back.
My favorit phone ever i just switched from the iphone 12 pro max. And the samsung switch with one drive had 1.2tbs of photos from icloud to my fold in 1.5 hours

I think the samsung galaxy fold, Z fold 2 and Z fold 3 are definitely not as fragile as most would have you believe. I dropped mine on a concrete floor from about 4 feet while working out and once on my porch, nothing happened to it. Both times i had a thin kick stand case on it. I now have a U.A.G Tough armor case on just incase and it's not to bulky.👍 Great phone and is my favorite phone out since the fold 1.

too big then it defeats the whole purpose of it being a phone. The huawei x2 has an 8 inch display but for me it would be too large to carry around all day.

trading my zf3 for and s22 ultra for a big trade in loss. I think the s22 ultra is the better phone. fold phone needs bigger screen on the outside with a place to store a pen.

I have accidentally thrown my z3 in the fryer iv dropped it 3/4 times without a case and it works perfectly I can't say everyone will get the same results but for me it's been very reliable

Don't get me wrong there are parts that could brake easy that's why I got the insurance but it's fairly life proof

Personally I have gone to the S22 Ultra from the Fold 3. Between my worry and annoyance in the hinge seam on the screen along with durability and the narrow front screen, along with my terrible battery life and the huge compromise in cameras, I decided to switch. The cameras are so good on the S22 Ultra! The battery is lasting me double to triple of the Fold. And the glass is so smooth on the S22 Ultra.
I do miss that inner screen size though. Perhaps my terrible battery life was from the fact that I used the inner screen 80% of the time. I hated the outer screen that much!. Really I didn't mind the weight or the size, I just couldn't deal with those compromises. Give me a 6.8in outer screen with a fold out option and maybe we can talk.

Funny you have the exact same view as me. I had a note 10+ as well. Got this phone and now I'm going to the S22. My foldable glass started cracking at the crease. I have a black line going down the screen. 300 to get a new one. Pre oreder deals are too good. I'll still have this fold. I will do an insurance claim eventually. Use the Fold 3 as a extra screen in my car.

It gets me to the end of the day, that's all I can say I guess! If you're using 120hz and the inner display a lot then it will drain quite quickly
I had no problems with the battery drain when you using that 120 yeah it's going to drain hell I just put it back on the damn charger I don't know what's the issue was about people that it's not all day phones just bring your charger or your USB cord

I miss the cameras on my note 20 ultra, and I miss the housing for the s pen, but I love the large screen and the thinner candy bar style when it's folded, it fits better in my pocket then the n20u, but I too am eyeing the s22u

The starting assumption about this phone needing to fit with one's lifestyle is in a way flawed. We can own two phones to fit two lifestyles. I own both fold 3 n S22 ultra. Need a tablet, fold 3. Need to zoom 100x, S22 ultra. But u need deep pockets to hold both phones. It's like owning both a smartwatch n Rolex. U use them for different occasions.
And regarding dust resistance, I own so many flagship samsung phones that has no dust resistance rating back then, n dust had not been an issue. These phones got retired never due to damage from dust, but to upgrade to next flagship. Hahaha
I hate the alternate spen frequency. I invested alot of money in 3rd party and upgraded spens and equipment. Ive always had note phones, an sceeries tablet and now i bought a samsung galaxy book flex 15 cuz i hated the surface pro pen and that i needed to carry multiple pens for my devices.
Fast forward a few months and i trade in my note 10plus for the fold 3 only to find out my other spens are obsolete and i needed to buy the $100 SPen Pro to have a universal spen...
I pray the fold 4 has the traditional tech and a silo to store the spen.
And have you pushed a fold compatable spen tip in? the reason they changed frequencies is so people dont stab their dcreen with a traditional spen who the hell write/and or draws with that much pressure on the tip? Psychopaths, that's who. Its a plastic tip on glass who doesn't know to be gentle? I also wish it worked onvthe outer screen. Screen off memo is pointless now.
I love it and likely will not go back to the traditional brick phone but i really hope they do a better job of integrating the spen on the 4. There are times i feel like i had a better phone and have a better tablet but now have a gimmicky 2 in 1 to replace them.
Its still sweet. Just got a case that wasnt the one that came with the fold edition spen, which is the worst case of all time. Got a 3rd party fale leather that jas a pouch for the pen on the back and i have the oem silicone 2 piece case. I didnt want to invest more $ and get the leather model cuz i want the 4

Love my z fold 3 when you go places people just amazed by the damn phone they ask you questions about it but overall I love this phone the cameras is straight to me I'm not a picture taking guy so the cameras is on the phone are perfect they straight they take nice clear pictures and what else do you want the s pen yeah they could have put it inside the phone but I'm cool with that I got one of the cases where the s pen go on the side
