9/10 Brilliant acting. Beautifully paced. Amazing characters and action scenes. Oscar worthy. But enough about mad max fury road. Suicide squad was terrible.
It's really sucked hard, like really fucking hard. It looks though like it was going to be a good movie but they fucked it up at the end. Editing and sounddtrack just terrible
No. Tim Burton, Richard Donner, James McTeigue, Zack Snyder (WATCHMEN ONLY). And most likely Ben Affleck soon are the ones who know how to make a DC movie.
Frederick Core Zack Snyder is good when he has a great graphic novel from one of the greatest writers in the comic industry to base his movie off of. He basically did the movie exactly like the comic, only with a different (and somewhat better) ending. Otherwise, sure he's pretty bad.
Yeah, Zack Snyder is great when it comes to visuals and action choreography. Not great when coming up with original stories or finding good writers to work with.
WellJeremy goes vague because he wants you to go watch the film and enjoy it. If he's telling you all the details of the film then you won't get surprise or even care to form your own opinion of how you viewed the film, and generally speaking Chris really didn't put much more detail in this review then Jeremy
Jeremy Jahns is a reviewer. Chris Stuckmann is a critic. Two different things. I tend to agree with Jahns 90% of the times when it comes to enjoyment of a movie, but I don't disagree with Chris Stuckmann's critical standpoint either (mostly). Example: TMNT2. Jahns liked it, I enjoyed it, Stuckmann ripped it apart, and I still agreed. It wasn't a good film, but there are still enjoyment to be had and I had fun with it, despite noticing flaws that Stuckmann would point out in his reviews.
and now we wait for all the dc fanboys to say how this movie is amazing is every way and what does chris know he just wants to hate all dc movies and hes been payed by Disney to give a bad review
SPOILER ALERT The Joker has like two lines in this movie... Batman shows up like twice. They kill an almighty villain from another dimension with a tiny bomb... The end. I want my money back.
@@bmaster461603 and they never even gave him a real chance. everyone freaked when they heard he was gonna be the joker. so they pulled what they had. last time people freaked out about an actor being joker he ended up being one of the best.
I agree with Jeremy more, this review seemed kinda biased just because Chris expected to see the Joker and he didn't so it seems like that affected his opinion a bunch
I'm with him more too, outside of BvS and F4, hes given most recent comic book movies (and the Hobbit films) a pass. Plus, the same rating as Zootopia, Jungle Book, Cloverfield Lane and Dory? I doubt that
Over the years for me, Chris' opinions have lined up pretty damn well with mine. I guess we just have similar taste in movies, but with the exception of one or two action films (and how I just don't watch horror), I usually end up agreeing with him. Also some people don't want to waste time chancing it with a mediocre movie, so they'll watch a few critics and decide whether it's worth it or not.
Because he's actually legit with his reviews. There's movies that I've gone to see without watching his movie reviews yet and thinking, "Wow that movie was GREAT" or "Wow, that movie was BAD". And every single time I came to see what Chris thought afterwards, his reviews always mimicked my feeling of the movie.
Blows my mind to this day. I have watched many top 10 videos on youtube (gaming, movies, etc) and the comments sections for those videos are filled with "why isnt blablabla on this list? This list is shit" etc
Suicide Squad is one of the worst films I have ever seen. The script, the acting, the characters, the inconsistent and stupid editing, and the elephant in the room The Joker. I can respect other people's opinions but this wasn't Suicide Squad, this film was Hot Topic: The Movie.
i knew the villian was going to be weak thats why they never showed it in the trailer fuckk dude i dont get is it dc trying to hard or is it there trying to hard to catch up to marvel because they dont have too
It's getting pretty tiring watch DC take what should be the greatest comic book movie ever made and churn out an uninteresting mess, then watching the DC fanboys get super upset at everyone except the studio and film makers. Like don't blame Rotten Tomatoes for the score being low. Blame David Ayer.
David Ayer has had similar problems with my previous films he's made. He's INCREDIBLE at directing actors. But he's not the best at putting a story together. Same with Zack Snyder. Style over substance. Patty Jenkins is pretty much the opposite, substance over style. And Justice League has Ben Affleck as Executive Producer who knows how to out a story together. I bet that Wonder Woman will be REALLY GOOD and Jjsfice League will be just good.
M.Knight Shamwow easy if you bring up rotten tomatoes the way he did it obvious he listens to them and majority of the reviews on there are terrible good or bad cause they only mention postives or negatives. While I read the fan reviews and they have much better reviews even if they liked or hated it cause they explain not just give 2 sentences
Zack can put a story together, he just needs a good writer, BvS had David Goyer and even though I liked BvS, I could sense Goyer's writing and storytelling everywhere.
so basically DC is taking the movie version of DLC route...they release a movie with a crap load of deleted scenes, make you believe the movie could be a lot better with those scenes in it so you can buy the BluRay with all the missing stuff...they did it with BvS and apparently they're doing with this one...sad...
Sounds like what square enix does with kingdom hearts as well... Kingdom hearts, kingdom hearts remix. Kingdom hearts 1.5, kingdom hearts 1.5 hd remix.
I would watch anything with more of Jared Leto's Joker and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn. I thought their scenes were the best (and even more horrifying) in the movie. So well done!
Dear people in the comments, If you liked the movie and disagree with what was said in the video, good for you. There's no need to go on a rampage about it and claim that he is wrong. Movies are about personal opinion. Just because he thought it was bad and you think it's good doesn't mean either one of you are wrong. Just calm down.😶
its becuz this dude is a hater. how the hell u calling a movie boring and shit when marvel movies does the same shit? its the same shit. but ppl are hating on dc. wth
황원 (포키) You're telling me Mr. "Zod's Snapped Neck?" is a true critic? SS has a lot of problems, I won't lie about that, but between Chris and Jeremy I always see much more professionalism on Jeremy's part than Chris'.
HAHAHAHHAHA. Chris is a really proffesional movie critic and knows when a movies sucks ass and when it doesn't. C is even too much for this joke of a movie
nope I have to disagree with this review.. . . . . this movie is the single biggest pile of shit I've seen this year..you were way too easy on it. I would have given it a F
Its a comment section. Its for opinions and you know... comments. Dont be so butthurt. Its a bad movie. Enjoy it if you will but its bad. I like bad movies too but I realize they're guilty pleasures because they're not good
LongLiveLeoKing whos bitching? And your the only one thinking of race lol. Will is generic in this movie because he acts similar in a lot of his movies. Sorta like bill murray back in his hay day. Seriously though, you dont have to act so childish over someone light heartedly criticizing an actor that you like. Are you 4 x)?
LongLiveLeoKing but there wasnt any implication of prejudice in this thread. I wasnt even thinking about how will smith was black until you abruptly brought it up. When i see him, i think actor, not a BLACK actor. If the racial stuff bothers you so much dont single him out as a black actor and seperate black actors from actors of other races. By doing so your apart of the problem. If you were really about "peace" than you wouldnt have brought race up in the first place and attempted to invalidate op's opinion. Just sayin 😌
FYI: The movie is about Suicide Squad. Putting Joker as a major role means you have to put Batman in it with a major role and that will take away from the actual Suicide Squad. Joker is basically there because of Harley Quinn. You cant have Harley Quinn without having Joker. He needs to make an appearance.
Then maybe they should not have made a suicide squad movie with Harley before establishing a joker and batman dynamic first. But hey, I don't work for Warner Bros, I just see things that don't work.
Speaking of Nine Lives, am I the only one who feels like that movie is one of those really bad kid's movies from the mid 2000's that for some reason is only being released now? Because that is the only thing that makes sense to me.
hey negative moron some people just watch a movie to be entertained not to act like a critic and judge it frame by frame and ruin the whole experience. of course there was flaws but it was fucking entertaining til the end or final battle with another stupid villain in a comic book movie and save the day bullshit and guy gets girl back dam I hate that who cares( dammit female audience).
+Austin Singer In the end of the day it all comes down to personal opinion, a fault to one might be a merit to someone else. No matter what there will be people that dislike or like something for whatever reason.
I get the nice part. But one of the best? C'mon, he's a fan who reviews movies, nothing more. I've never heard him give anything close to a proper analysis. No talk of subtext, no real discussion of cinematography (beyond whether its "good" or not. You want real critics in youtube try Rob Ager or Mark Kermode.
I think Suicide Squad would've been more suited as a 10-12 hour series on HBO. Not a 2 hour music video with a witch and some demons. I think it should have been more grounded. It should focus on them, a task force, maybe protecting an important person, or stopping some terrorists. Like a SWAT team of villians. We could see the highs and lows of that relationship. More hours to spend with the squad, more development for the characters. Everyone could've had a story arc.
I'm actually quite surprised by the sheer immaturity of a lot of the comments, usually Chris' comments aren't too bad for UA-cam, but Jesus Christ are you pissed off middle aged manchildren annoyed that somebody has a different opinion to you.... About a film... Simmer down.
Simmer down? Kid, stop whining. So what if people complain? Is it affecting your life? No? Then shut the hell up about it. Friendless geeks like you just want to attract attention because your life is miserable and sad.
Memory Blocks " So what if people complain? Is it affecting your life? No? Then shut the hell up about it." is me complaining affecting your life? so what if I complain? you're complaining... about me complaining... which is exactly what you just had a tantrum about... so erm yeah... simmer down.
Have you seen how people have acted over this? Hard enough to tell when something is sarcasm on the internet. Even harder when there was already a petition to get Rotten Tomatoes shut down.
i tend to believe jeremy jahns. he reviewed movies based on what an audience would see it. chris on the other hand reviewed it on a film critic view. also, jeremy tend not to have high expectation. he let the movie be itself rather than critizing too much on techniques, etc. chris is good, but jeremy got it better.
+izzad ibrahim But Chris goes more into detail of his reviews, why do you think all of his subs say they rather watch his reviews than hear from the critics
Jahns' rating system is more.... fluid (there we go!) than Stuckmann's, because Jahns has described himself thus: "I am a fan of movies first, and I critique them second."
Not to mention EXTREMELY corny joke punchlines from Killer Croc, and why tf is he a racial stereotype at the end of the movie? And his body is so small and his is fuckin' huge. He's supposed to tower over the rest of the squad. And also El Diablo had probably one of the worst lines in the film. "I've lost my family, I won't lose another!" Dude you literally just stood around the entire movie and now you wanna say that you're family? Felt so undeserved..
Biggest disappointment of 2016 so far. Everything felt so bad. Half the scenes were like... what? There's a scene where the joker is just sitting in a room with a bunch of knives around him. Why? Why is that relevant? I don't even remember what that scene is about. There's so many cuts to random other scenes that don't have any real substance to them that the movie feels super choppy and poorly edited. My biggest disappointment is with the final fight scene with Diablo. He turns into this big fiery skeleton demon and... goes into a fistfight? Really? You two have the powers of the gods and you're just doing left hook, right hook until someone else blows up a bomb in the corner of the room? And THEN, enchantress dies because someone throws a grenade at her. Nice.
the scene where he is laying with the knifes ect. Is his depressed state.. they took Harley from arkam and transferred her and joker didn't know where and has been looking for her... hence the piano all messed up. the baby clothes since Harley has been wanting kids etc... and that's even his henchmen tell him they found her is when he sits up and regains his char.. there's much more to his char than people are realizing. it is just that .. a introduction to him.. there will be a movie with him watch
+Jan Tvrdý Didn't they have the heart preserved in the first place? Why did they have to waste time by letting Enchantress get ahold of it? I mean, spare us the grueling storyline and just destroy the heart in the beginning... I would've rather have watched that.
How did DC boggle so many films? They arguably have better source material. I mean Joker and Harley alone could’ve been a fascinating psychological thriller. The only saving grace is Wonder Women but she’s tethered to these other films.
DC dropped the ball because they tried to compete and catch up to Marvel. They made movies with the focus on combining them rather than Marvel's approach of making good movies and letting the combining happen naturally. DC always had their eyes on the future movies while Marvel had their eyes on the current one.
I thought I'd be Enchant.. ed by the movie, but looks like it's more of a whimper than a Boom!... Erang-Utans could make a better movie. Even a Kat Ana meth trip could spew out a better script! I dAmanda refund! The DCEU is Dead. Shot to hell...
It's like DC saw what Marvel did and basically said, "Fuck it. Sure, giving each character their own movie to establish their backstory and then putting them all in one movie to create an epic showdown might have worked well. But how about we skip the origin movies and go right into the good stuff? Character motivation isn't even that important anyways". What a bunch of idiots. The storytelling in this movie was so lazy, and there was just too much backstory that needed to be covered that they just decided to skip it. Croc man or whatever his name was didn't even get one. Plus, he had like five lines of dialogue (awful lines by the way) so his character was pointless other than being able to swim well. I was so excited for this movie, but once again DC goes all in and fails miserably.
Also, is it just me, or did it seem like every scene ended with some kind of "witty" one liner (most of the time from Harley Quinn)? There must have been 20+ one liners and only half of them were any good
I agree with everything you said. EVERY single time Killer Croc talked in this move (literally every time) it was supposed to be some hilarous one liner, but he wasnt even funny.
+crispy he sounded like he was trying to sound gangster. Like he said "aksking" instead of "asking" and he said "bruh" once or twice. It just sounded so forced
Did the music cues bother you at all? I love a lot of the songs they used, but it gets to the point where cuing in a popular song for the 20th time gets extremely annoying and overused.
+Charlie To0 Human yes! I read somewhere online that they got their soundtrack from Costco and that about sums it up perfectly. They played every cliche song they could and they just over did it. It was pretty predictable too, I bet my friend $5 they'd play sympathy for the devil within the first 30 minutes. I'm $5 richer now
Same here. I thought _Suicide Squad_ was fun, but in a *trashy* kinda way. I'm starting to think maybe the DCEU will be the _Bayformers_ of superhero films =/ Oh well. Hopefully _Wonder Woman_ will be legitimately good.
I don't understand why so many people defend this movie yet something like Fant4stic is universally panned. This movie is on the same level as Fant4stic in terms of quality. The only difference is this one comes with an extra side of cringe thanks to its Hot Topic inspired look
Josh Trank's monsterpiece had almost nothing to do with the FF. Suicide Squad at least resembled the actual characters. People defend the movie because most of the characters were at least recognizable .
OK, I am getting tired of WB releasing half assed DC movies then "fixing" them on blu-ray so you have to buy the blu-ray to see the better version. Its like when video games are released half done, at full price, then you have to wait for patches to fix the bugs and pay for DLC that is already on the disc. Make the movies good from the damn start. No more seeing any DC movies in the theater for me, will just wait for the "fixed" blu-ray instead.
you got extended warlord scene, Lois's bullet analysis and snooping around bomber's flat scenes, extended clark doing reporter stuff scene, there's the one with lex and motherboxes, and the extended ''batman visits lex in prison'' scene. nothing consequential or significant, essentailly 30more minutes of exposition - i understand why these scenes were cut from the theatrical cut to make it shorter. sure, there are less plotholes now, but the movie is still poorly paced, it has choppy editting and too many plot threads that don't go anywhere, multiple dream sequences (in a row) that are confusing and don't have any bearing on the plot whatsoever, and there's just too much stuff crammed into one movie. the characters aren't their comicbook counterparts either. why is superman mopy and why is he threatening people with death, why is batman a cold-blooded killer, why is lex so...lame, why waste jimmyy olsen, perry, etc. It's still the same movie in my book. but longer.
SS was amazing, I saw the movie and it was the most fun I've had at the theatre in a very long time, the story was also very good and the character development was brilliant... I agree more with Jeremy Jahns and my only complaint with this movie is that we didn't get enough joker
I'm sure that making assumptions based on opinion of a pretty solid reviewer is not a bad thing. However not making your own opinion, band-waggoning, etc. is a way of internet cunts.
if you have a mindset like Chris Stuckmann about seeing much of the Joker, then you have been misleading your thoughts. This is SS and not a full movie for the Joker. Yes he was used in the promotion but at the end of the day, this is SS and not Batman!
To all the people that think Rotten Tomato is corrupted or that there is a conspiracy against DC or that Marvel has a ton load of money influencing reviews against DC. You should grow up and start seeing the truth. Rotten Tomato is only an aggregator and shows the trend and total of reviews nothing more. Marvel will not waste money forcing negative reviews, they will not risk their reputation paying for corrupt reviewers and litigation risks far out weigh the gains against a competitor that is already on the back foot. There is a serious problem in DC and the quicker DC fans accept that the faster the problem will be highlighted and changes made for the better.
Civil War was a worse movie IMO cause they didn't follow for shit they made something that should of been least 5 movies into one but everyone has a pos they love ;)!
+david reid Please, Civil War beats both MOS and BVS by a long shot. Can't compare Suicide Squad or BVSUE due to me not seeing those yet (even though I plan on seeing them both very soon).
I must say got disappointed with this movie. Not saying that it is bad, but it was just “an okay movie”, in my opinion, and I really wanted more. Don’t really have a problem with the flashbacks, but the pacing and some slightly disconnected scenes got me out of the movie too many times (I agree, there is probably a much better movie that died at the editing room). And, to be fair, the jokes are not all that great either. I don’t remember laughing once during the movie (and it was supposed to be a very funny one). Also, just to end the negatives, I’m not very impressed with the Joker, but I admit that Heath Ledger’s Joker spoiled me a little bit. I will keep and open mind... but I'm not into this one.
ha. yeah ok sure bud cuz ezra millers flash is what everyone needs rn i do agree batfleck could have enhanced the movie more but then it wouldnt be the suicide squad also i loved this movie
Richard Geraghty why did you put “literally” at the beginning of your comment? using that word means that it can also be metaphor so putting “Literally” at the beginning is useless.. But still.. this is one of the worst superhero movies that I’ve seen
The new Ghostbusters was out only a few weeks ago. Now THAT was polarizing. XD Practically no two critics or analysts I follow had the same opinion on it.
I don't understand this either. It's hard to believe the gap in quality, like... The WORST Marvel movie (Incredible Hulk? Thor 2? Iron Man 2?) is still FAR better than any DCEU movie to date. This is unbelievable.
It's Warner Bro's fault and ultimately Zack synder's vision for the Universe. I think all the DC movies we are going to get from here on is following his vision for the universe which is sad that DC are letting WB and Zack to do that. Whereas at MARVEL we have a dude who's worked at the marvel comic world heading the cinematic universe so we get good/great movies from marvel. This is also a reason why I feel that Marvel will never give us a critically poor movie or one that angers the fans because they have their people working on their properties. Whereas with DC with have movie people and outsiders re-imagining what the DC superheroes/villain are like. Because of this sometimes we get some good DC films (nolan's batman trilogy) but most of the time without proper understanding of the characters its difficult to portray them in a way that pleases both fans and critics. I'd prefer if DC would tackle some of their Vertigo properties as they fit the darker tones and themes that they are going for well, and an outsiders (directors, scriptwriter) perspective would be interesting to see.
Wait, Jeremy and Chris don't agree? Are mommy and daddy gonna get their own houses? Did we do something wrong? IS IT OUR FAULT THEY'RE GETTING DIVORCED?!?!
Agreed I find it eerily strange that he had NO criticism whatsoever, I trust Jeremy but, wow, he gave it a perfect review and even said it was the best DC movie so far
Ah, joyous days of DC! To only have to pay for a movie TWICE in order to get a SINGLE movie's screening worth of enjoyment out of >_> No, FUCK Ultimate cuts!!!!!!! I'm so sick of hearing "Oh, the Ultimate edition makes the movie PERFECT now so it's all okay now! That makes up for the money you paid to see it in theatres and were disappointed by. Just drop another $20-35 into the movie, and it'll AAAAAALL be worth it!" Screw that! Just get it right the first time before trying to squeeze more cash out of me, Jeez! DC movies don't HAVE to be 3+ hours to be good, dangit! That's simply a flaw of the directors for refusing to cut down on the amount of plotlines and characters in one movie >< Spiderman 3 and Amazing Spiderman 2 had similar issues; too much crap in one movie >< When everyone is saying that they are rushing to catch up to Marvel to cash in on the current superhero movies, it's the fucking truth! And it's SOOO obvious with BVS that it's ridiculous! How much crap they tried to forcefully cram in that one movie to set up an ENTIRE franchise was insane >
+Aizen2468 Actually the Ultimate Cut WAS the original film for BVS......it was screened and got a standing ovation. However, to make more money on ticket sales, they cut 30 minutes out of the movie. This is something that has plagued movies in the past and sometimes the Director's Cut or the Ultimate Cut IS the main version of the film but we dont see it until it gets to DVD. But i do agree with you about making movies be their own standalone film instead of trying to create a universe with every movie
+Jared Doucet The original film of BvS was four hours, so the Ulitimate Cut was not original and not so ultimate. That three hour version wasn't worthy of a standing ovation.
Because it was a joyless, depressing, and dull movie with a nonsensical plot. This was a depressing and dull movie with small amounts of joy and no plot.
+THEEVANTHETOON BvS was not joyless or depressing, suicide squad had big plot and direction issues, along with little to no character development and a weak villian
***** And your opinion is reflected in the RT scores I believe, BvS sits at 29% and Suicide Squad is at 26%. I'm not saying they're the end all be all but it's an indication of what the critics are thinking and for the most part I agree with what the critics are saying
Just because you enjoyed the movie doesn't mean it's a good movie. Those are two completely different things. How good a movie is is not really subjective. How enjoyable a movie is is VERY subjective.
David Ayer had a cut of the movie that the studio forced him to redo after Deadpool came out. They made it less serious, shorter, and lightened up the tone. I would love for the studio to release his original cut, cause the movie isn't bad as it is, it's just mediocre, and the pacing is blown to hell. Ayer probably had the thing in a good state before the execs got their underwear all wet with the idea of a Deadpool opening weekend and started gutting it. Seriously, We need the Ayer cut. Cause you can tell, this movie isn't complete when you watch it.
Actually, the studio didn't force reshoots and new cuts of the film because of Deadpool; they did it because of BvS. The studio apparently liked Ayer's original cut a lot since they confirmed a sequel in early March. His original cut was apparently a very grimdark, serious movie, much like Batman v Superman. Then the reviews for BvS came out later that month and the studio panicked. Not only was the movie extremely dark, the marketing was trying to portray it as a light, fun action comedy. They ordered the reshoots because of how people reacted to BvS, cut a new, lighter version of the movie, and then combined that with the original. That's why it goes from light, funny scenes to dark and foreboding at the drop of a hat. Good example, transition from entering the building to the elevator, and then from the elevator to the shootout.
DC is the EA of movies, it seems. First you got to pay to see the movie, but if you want to see the whole movie, you gotta pay little extra for it when it comes out on Blu-Ray/DVD.
I kind of hope it doesn't. DC needs to learn that they can't just keep putting out bad movies with guaranteed Blu-Ray sales from people who want to see "the good version." Hope the fan base wises up and demands a decent movie instead of just giving their money to DC over and over again.
Every movie does reshoots anymore, but to attempt a complete tone redo is almost impossible and makes the film feel mashed together. That sounds like that's more the issue.
It looks like cutting seems to be the biggest problem of DC nowadays. I heard the Batman v. Superman Ultimate version is much better than the theatrical version.
I felt like they were going for the Deadpool vibe and didn't quite get there. They needed some more of the irreverent Will Smith-type humor, I think. But, I really enjoyed it more than I expected, especially after so many negative comments. Jared Leto's Joker was amazing.
Same here. Apparently the movie studio forced Ayer to cut the movie's runtime and reshoot some scenes. And from the offset it was going to be rated PG-13. Maybe they'll release a directors cut once it comes out on BD and DVD. I hope...
DJ Gamera Having not seen the original cut, I can understand cutting the run time in general--in fact, the only scenes that really seemed a bit lengthy to me were some of the flashbacks with Harley and the Joker. That said, the scenes with the Joker were my favorite so I wouldn't have cut them, but my point is just that I can see where there was probably a lot of dead weight.
+황원 (포키) dude it was a fucking blast, action packed, funny stuff, how was it not fun? The editing wasn't the greatest in the first act but as the movie kept going it became enjoyable, you just have to loosen up. Not to mention the movie has more flavor than any marvel movie
+onewinter9411 because as a critic he is looking for a certain formula, this movie didn't have it, however, it you look past it (which I started doing halfway through the movie) it's actually a good time
The characters in this movie look like 17 year old edgy instagram users. Also, flashbacks are atrocious, all they do is chop up the story to shove another story that should've been directed at the beginning as exposition/prologue. P.S., corny jokes in a dark atmosphered movie is a recipe for disaster. First of all it halts the mood, and secondly, it feels very forced. Subtlety is something the screen writers threw away.
I trust Chris's opinion because he gives VERY in-depth reviews unlike alot of critics on UA-cam. Had high hopes for this movie...we all just witnessed the power of marketing and advertising.
sometimes it's too much. He is really is super critical about movies instead of talking about it and the fun you might have watching it. I can go see this movie sit down and enjoy the hell out of it and then he's one of those people that comes up and start talking about the negatives that I didn't even notice and then it will bring me down.
oscar campos I didn't even look at it like that. I have to admit though, his reviews are getting a little...critical. It's better to watch his reviews AFTER you see the movie because you get more out of the review. However, alot of the critics on UA-cam tend to give mediocre reviews...not mentioning names.
Chris, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy this film, but I disagree with you on nearly all accounts, especially your comparisons to Fantastic Four (2015). For the record, I watched this review and kept his criticisms in mind before I saw the actual film.
fbrbt yeah so a c like i said it wasnt unwatchable shit as some people want to make it out to be but its not the best. despite the 2 hours it also felt weirdly short
who else would it be? Killer Croc or harley Quinn? batman villains, Deadshot or Captain boomerang? key members of suicide squad... rick flag or waller also core to there being a suicide squad sequal.
I saw Suicide Squad for the first time today and actually enjoyed the first 75% of the movie. I have problems with the end and the way they portrayed a few characters, but I don't think it's as bad as most people say. Maybe it's because of heard so much negativity that I was expecting worse.
it's mostly likely, that they liked the characters in the movie and the actors were great but the story was lacking. if the story and transitions doesn't work, there is no helping that movie. but I happy to here that the characters are the best part of the movie.
It's hard to take Jahns' reviews seriously. He acts like a 12 year old with ADHD and reminds me of the mindless idiots at the theater who get "bored" with slow-burn movies
I personally thought there wasn't a single good character in this film, and Jared Leto made me feel uncomfortable, and I cringed everytime he was on screen. Harley was fucking annoying, and at one point I was begging for Deadshot to just fucking kill her, and the ending where it's revealed the Joker lives confused the fuck out of me, how did he survive? How did he find his way out of the destroyed city? Why didn't one of the creatures kill him? tl:dr I think this movie fucking sucked
9/10
Brilliant acting. Beautifully paced. Amazing characters and action scenes. Oscar worthy.
But enough about mad max fury road. Suicide squad was terrible.
That movie got robbed. Should have won best picture by a mile.
About36GREEKS: You thought Mad Max Fury Road was too childish?
+About36GREEKS
So why did you say it was a 6.5? Did you read his joke?
It's really sucked hard, like really fucking hard. It looks though like it was going to be a good movie but they fucked it up at the end. Editing and sounddtrack just terrible
Lmaoooo
So basically only Nolan knows how to make a fucking DC movie
No. Tim Burton, Richard Donner, James McTeigue, Zack Snyder (WATCHMEN ONLY). And most likely Ben Affleck soon are the ones who know how to make a DC movie.
+C. Pasta Zack Snyder is a joke
I have a feeling Affleck's solo Batman movie is gonna be DC's saving grace when it comes out. They should just let him direct the entire DC movieverse
Jeremy Jahns doesn't go into nearly half the detail this video does
He doesn't have Stuckmann's knowledge of film making. He gives more of a casual moviegoers perspective.
WellJeremy goes vague because he wants you to go watch the film and enjoy it. If he's telling you all the details of the film then you won't get surprise or even care to form your own opinion of how you viewed the film, and generally speaking Chris really didn't put much more detail in this review then Jeremy
+Gardenrabbit356 well than that's good. I feel like this movie won't be half as tainted for me then watching it because I don't study film either xD
+Galen Marek I agree. 💯 ❤ Fuck the critics
"Who's she?"
"Her name's Katana. It means Japanese Sword"
and now we wait for all the dc fanboys to say how this movie is amazing is every way and what does chris know he just wants to hate all dc movies and hes been payed by Disney to give a bad review
This movie is amazing in everyway and Chris just wants to hate all DC movies and he's been paid by Disney to give a bad review.
j/k
And now we wait for the marvel fanboys to say A stupid ignorant comment O 😑 wait
there that didn't last long😀
uhm yeah and you havent even seen it yet. and of you want someone that liked it go to jeremy jahns
Some people actually liked it unlike BvS so I don't think there's much reason for fanboys to complain
SPOILER ALERT
The Joker has like two lines in this movie...
Batman shows up like twice.
They kill an almighty villain from another dimension with a tiny bomb...
The end.
I want my money back.
stfu
amen
this
The flash showed up that was a suprise
Joker has WAY more than two lines.
Chris can you do a face reveal at 1 milli subs?
wtf?
That's too much I suggest crotch reveal Mhm...
he takes of his mask
A dick reveal
Colonoscopy reveal.
"I like Jared Leto's portrayal of the joker"
Chris, you better say syke right now.
It wasn’t bad just a poorly written character. Try to do something with that script and that type of character
@@bmaster461603 agreed. i liked that joker i'd love to see his joker get a better writer, i think it would be soooo much better
missy lang exactly. The dialogue he had was Atrocious
@@bmaster461603 and they never even gave him a real chance. everyone freaked when they heard he was gonna be the joker. so they pulled what they had. last time people freaked out about an actor being joker he ended up being one of the best.
@@bmaster461603 DAMAGED!
Wow, Jeremy and Chris disagree on a movie. That's kinda rare
I agree with chris more... Jeremy didn't go over any cons in the film at all it was all optimistic positive.
Maybe because he didn't find any huge cons.
I agree with Jeremy more, this review seemed kinda biased just because Chris expected to see the Joker and he didn't so it seems like that affected his opinion a bunch
No it's not
I'm with him more too, outside of BvS and F4, hes given most recent comic book movies (and the Hobbit films) a pass. Plus, the same rating as Zootopia, Jungle Book, Cloverfield Lane and Dory? I doubt that
If you want a suicide squad movie... Assault on Arkham... GO watch
Listen to this guy please 😭
Like! That's the truth!
Assault on Arkham had Killer Frost. Immediate win there.
assault on arkham is amazing but there wasn't too much dialogue from the characters which is lame as hell
Preach
I just don't get it Chris... Why do a lot of your subs still not understand that these reviews are based on your opinion and not theirs? :/
that's a helluva name.
Movie reviewers are usually supposed to be impartial to an extent though. Chris is usually very good at this with a few exceptions, though
Christmas Time With Mr. Baker The only characters I enjoyed were Deadshot, Harley, and Diablo.
Christmas Time With Mr. B
The Real Darn Shark be realistic it is no where near the worst movie ever made
The Real Darn Shark Well, the acting and characters are good... For the most part...
But everything else is shit.
Jordan Gan Winning an oscar for makeup doesn't automatically make a movie good kiddo.
Hmmm...Jeremy Jahns says it's good, but Chris says it's bad. Who do I trust?
Oh, wait, I can just see it and form my own opinion. Problem solved.
whoa whoa how dare you act like an adult there's no room for this thinking on the internet
Chris says its disappointing, C means average not bad :)
+FN-2187 I always saw it as a pretty bad score.
Or just wait until it comes out on DVD or Netflix or Redbox or something.
Being rational on the internet? The hell is this!?
When he goes through the positives so fast I know there's always a big BUT coming
So true!
i knew the villian was going to be weak thats why they never showed it in the trailer fuckk dude i dont get is it dc trying to hard or is it there trying to hard to catch up to marvel because they dont have too
Quinns big BUTT
Don't blame DC, blame the editors, the writers and the director (mainly the writers).
realy? i thought te tattoo man would be te villain because te colorful magic thingies
I bet that Wonder Woman will be REALLY GOOD and Jjsfice League will be just good.
you havent even seen the movie
😂
you actually listen to rotten tomatoes? jesus christ
This time the whiny fanboys were right. It WAS the worst joker.
its not as good as heath ledger or the arkum games but better than any other joker I've seen.
the one of the animated series is better
At least he actually had white skin and wasn't Anarky in face paint.
Efe abi burda napıyon
It’s not really his fault though. It’s David Ayer’s fault for not knowing how to direct actors.
5:19 Chris: I'm about to talk about the villain.
Me: Okay, *turns volume down*
*Villain pops up on screen*
Me: Goddammit.
same i was going to watch the movie tmr and now i know who the villain is,fudge
I think he was letting you know so you can exit lol
Well, he was about to warn you, but well, you know.
yeah he did give us a warning, although a time stamp to where he stops talking about the villain would have been appreciated
For realz!!
so basically DC is taking the movie version of DLC route...they release a movie with a crap load of deleted scenes, make you believe the movie could be a lot better with those scenes in it so you can buy the BluRay with all the missing stuff...they did it with BvS and apparently they're doing with this one...sad...
Sad indeed, but hey dc fanboys are throwing away money.
Sounds like what square enix does with kingdom hearts as well... Kingdom hearts, kingdom hearts remix. Kingdom hearts 1.5, kingdom hearts 1.5 hd remix.
lmao dc fanboys love it...
IT's Warner Bros, not DC.
dc = ea. great analogy.
Does anyone think a movie about Harley Quinn being corrupted by the joker would be a good movie?
You stole Chris Stuckmans idea from his Spoiler review😑
I would watch anything with more of Jared Leto's Joker and Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn. I thought their scenes were the best (and even more horrifying) in the movie. So well done!
yes it would be perfect
100%
Holy shit that sounds amazing
Again. Too generous with your Cs man, that movie deserved a D-
Ruben Olguin really?
It deserved an E-
Cucktown Population: Me the one thing I can give it is the casting, other than that, D- at best on a good day
It deserves a Z
Honestly the movie is okay
kai verse this movie fails at almost every element of filmmaking
Dear people in the comments,
If you liked the movie and disagree with what was said in the video, good for you. There's no need to go on a rampage about it and claim that he is wrong. Movies are about personal opinion. Just because he thought it was bad and you think it's good doesn't mean either one of you are wrong.
Just calm down.😶
true like people are saying that he is wrong so if i say kim jung un is bad if every korean disagrees im wrong
Thank you for being rational Amy. More people should look at this comment.
that something that is really been lost in society today.
its becuz this dude is a hater. how the hell u calling a movie boring and shit when marvel movies does the same shit? its the same shit. but ppl are hating on dc. wth
+Amy Shepherd you really shouldn't respond, because then they're just gonna do it more.
Jeremy Jahns is a Fan. This guy is a Critic.
Jeremy Jahns is a movie critic. This guy is a director-wannabe.
C is even too much for this joke of a movie
omg lol these fanboys use to praise these guys and now only jeremy lmao

this movie is the single biggest pile of shit I've seen this year..you were way too easy on it. I would have given it a F
Yuvi Singh Oh fuck off no one asked for your opinion dumbass.
Its a comment section. Its for opinions and you know... comments. Dont be so butthurt. Its a bad movie. Enjoy it if you will but its bad. I like bad movies too but I realize they're guilty pleasures because they're not good
Does literally fucking no one click "Read more"?!
?
Were you replying to the OP or to Andrew?
Now I have to go tell Zods snapped neck about this?
I thought you were dead suprboi
Why would he be dead? Didn't you see the floating dirt several months ago? Dead people don't float dirt.
Butthurt
No, tell that to Rotten Tomatoes which gave BvS a rotten score of 27%, and Suicide Squad a rotten score of 33%
+mursie100 No, Rotten Tomatoes doesn't "give" anything. They compile.
Will Smith plays generic Will Smith.
+Sean Legghette will smith doesn't play deadshot deadshot plays will smith
will smith has been playing someones dad for the last decade lol
Apology accepted 😏
FYI: The movie is about Suicide Squad. Putting Joker as a major role means you have to put Batman in it with a major role and that will take away from the actual Suicide Squad. Joker is basically there because of Harley Quinn. You cant have Harley Quinn without having Joker. He needs to make an appearance.
Then maybe they should not have made a suicide squad movie with Harley before establishing a joker and batman dynamic first. But hey, I don't work for Warner Bros, I just see things that don't work.
there was little batman in the trailers and alot of jokers. joker was in every bloody trailer.
that's really stupid of you to say considering this is a movie about villians.
but he didnt though
+123 360 They did that with the Joker The result was a huge "Is that really it???"
just saw it. this movie was the biggest piece of shit ive seen this year.
holy shit what a mess this movie is.
Speaking of Nine Lives, am I the only one who feels like that movie is one of those really bad kid's movies from the mid 2000's that for some reason is only being released now? Because that is the only thing that makes sense to me.
You mean like "Cats & Dogs"? XD
Yep. It's one of THOSE movies.
If Chris Struckman reviews it, expect a D+ or a F.
We're still in the mids 2000s. Until 2500.. Lol
qwe6348 so we should call it the 00's instead? NEVER!!! XD
That movie looks like a shaggy dog ripoff
Reading through those comments is just shocking to me how stupid some of those fanboys are...
+HyperKnoedelDoedel You report for spam not bitchy comments you don't like.
Why you call em fanboys?
cause they're unreasonable people that will just hate on anyone that don't agree with their opinion. they take their opinions as facts
you mean the marvel fanboys commenting here? i agree
hey negative moron some people just watch a movie to be entertained not to act like a critic and judge it frame by frame and ruin the whole experience. of course there was flaws but it was fucking entertaining til the end or final battle with another stupid villain in a comic book movie and save the day bullshit and guy gets girl back dam I hate that who cares( dammit female audience).
I really like the fact fully grown adults harass one of the best and nicest critics on youtube
***** sign the petition to shut this video down you guys!!!1111
Rotten Tomatoes are just a burden on our society!! Shut the site down!! They all just hate super heroes you guys!!
+Landontuber They didn't hate the Dark Knight trilogy
You should see the comments on his Force Awakens review
I agree
Simmer down? Kid, stop whining. So what if people complain? Is it affecting your life? No? Then shut the hell up about it. Friendless geeks like you just want to attract attention because your life is miserable and sad.
+Memory Blocks aren't you a man child doing that right now?
Memory Blocks " So what if people complain? Is it affecting your life? No? Then shut the hell up about it."
is me complaining affecting your life? so what if I complain? you're complaining... about me complaining... which is exactly what you just had a tantrum about... so erm yeah... simmer down.
Looks like this move was.............Suicide.
*Puts on shades*

Opinions different then mine must be shut down!
i got your sarcasm , not all people did though .
Have you seen how people have acted over this?
Hard enough to tell when something is sarcasm on the internet.
Even harder when there was already a petition to get Rotten Tomatoes shut down.
Kid, it's a little something called criticism and having an opinion. Just because he didn't like the movie does not mean you can't enjoy it.
you should have your brain removed....
you review it like you're giving it a D+
That’s exactly what I said 😂
The real question is how the hell did Harley not fall cause if her heals at all through the whole movie!?
of*
When she broke the window at the store, no alarm :D HAHAH
Excuse me good sir but it seems that you have not learned the way of English.
maybe the building was destroyed so bad their is no sound alarm
Excuse me sir but da ways English don't exist on the internet. (●__●)
Jeremy Jahns: Buy it on Blu Ray
Chris Stuckmann: C
WHO DO I BELIEVE?!
i tend to believe jeremy jahns. he reviewed movies based on what an audience would see it. chris on the other hand reviewed it on a film critic view. also, jeremy tend not to have high expectation. he let the movie be itself rather than critizing too much on techniques, etc. chris is good, but jeremy got it better.
+izzad ibrahim But Chris goes more into detail of his reviews, why do you think all of his subs say they rather watch his reviews than hear from the critics
Since opinions are subjective, how about you go with the reviewer whose taste in movies most often mirrors yours?
Jahns' rating system is more.... fluid (there we go!) than Stuckmann's, because Jahns has described himself thus: "I am a fan of movies first, and I critique them second."
See it for yourself and form your own opinion.
DC stands for Disappointing Cinema :(
haha!
+The Kupo fuck you
fuck you
YESSS!
dude...ouch...don't you go there...
One of the worst movies of 2016. Like in the bottom 5.
^
Raymond XL Not at all.
Legit one of the worst movies I've seen in theaters. Ever.
The editing is mind boggling.
CiggyBones Hahahahahahaha, I'm guessing you haven't seen assassin's creed then.
Terrible film
Not to mention EXTREMELY corny joke punchlines from Killer Croc, and why tf is he a racial stereotype at the end of the movie? And his body is so small and his is fuckin' huge. He's supposed to tower over the rest of the squad. And also El Diablo had probably one of the worst lines in the film. "I've lost my family, I won't lose another!" Dude you literally just stood around the entire movie and now you wanna say that you're family? Felt so undeserved..
His head*
I know right, it felt so fuckin forced
Holy sh*t! I thought I was the only one cringing to death with the family sentence. This movie was truly mediocre and its a shame
+DarkVince1234 i cringed so hard that i literally couldn't stop twitching.
Steven Stifler
I had to hide my cringe from my brother who actually loved this film, so I wouldn't ruin his experience re-watching it
Biggest disappointment of 2016 so far.
Adam Peig then the symbolism is nice, but the showing of it was poorly done
+dragoncrystal24 everyone has a opinion. and I respect your. I think it was very well done. and very complex just as he is a very complex character.
Yeah...the movie was *crap*.
Fun, but crap. (*D-* for me)
+Jan Tvrdý Didn't they have the heart preserved in the first place? Why did they have to waste time by letting Enchantress get ahold of it? I mean, spare us the grueling storyline and just destroy the heart in the beginning... I would've rather have watched that.
So angry Joe's gonna say"you 've fucked it up"again, right?
U dun fukd it up
wait people still watch his video
+fran zamor his video's are to looooooonnnnggggggg
He hasn't said that in a really long while.
wait angry joe does reviews still? I thought he was doing full time twitch.
Why does DC always fuck up when it comes to editing?!
I know right. They need to replace WB editors now
It's 'cos WB end up panicking and cutting the film into what they think will be "successful".
its the executives/ producers who make the call. Editor have like a quarter of the say.
so dc (or warner whatever) is the capcom of movies
Its not DC, its WB
I can Harley believe it. What a Croc! The DCEU is starting to feel like a Joke.... Please don't Flag this comment.
We haven't got to the Geoff Johns-backed ones yet. I wanna see how Wonder Woman goes before I write the whole thing off
Besides I'm probably still gonna see this one, see what I reckon
I thought I'd be Enchant.. ed by the movie, but looks like it's more of a whimper than a Boom!... Erang-Utans could make a better movie. Even a Kat Ana meth trip could spew out a better script! I dAmanda refund! The DCEU is Dead. Shot to hell...
I saw the movie. I thought it was fucking amazing!!, Im shocked this guy didn't like it... go watch Jeremy Jahns, I agreed with him completely,
Im going to put my head on the waller and cry
the movie was quite boring for me tbh
Really? We must of saw different movies
or we just have different opinions
seen* fucking fanboy
yeah i wanted to leave after the first hour. so boring
my boyfriend fell asleep after one hour.
Movie was straight trash 3/10.
-3/10
"Straight trash" 3/10"
Not that bad I would give it a 10/10 because it's not really SOMETHING to ACTUALLY call TERRIBLE!😒😒😒
@Adassker could not agree more.
@Adassker
Iam dead, yet agreed
Im just here to see the fanboys bashing each other
Same:)
Same
yeah, they talk like if these big studios cared about them or something. I'm going to watch SS and sure I'll love it.
Great way to spend your time, get a life k?
^
Oh look I found a fanboy!
I'm $5 richer now
starting to think we should just give up on Dc movies, wonder woman you better be good
Same here. I thought _Suicide Squad_ was fun, but in a *trashy* kinda way. I'm starting to think maybe the DCEU will be the _Bayformers_ of superhero films =/
Oh well. Hopefully _Wonder Woman_ will be legitimately good.
+Paradox Acres I prefer dc over marvel (in comics) but this movie had so many problems and i ended up walking out disappointed.
there are some parts were i see the movie it could have been, like with deadshots stroyline
after the first avengers movie i gave up on the mcu
You must've had your eyes closed for the entirety of it then.
I don't understand why so many people defend this movie yet something like Fant4stic is universally panned. This movie is on the same level as Fant4stic in terms of quality. The only difference is this one comes with an extra side of cringe thanks to its Hot Topic inspired look
Marbot Robbie in booty shorts won this movie an Oscar.
If it was enough for that, it was certainly enough to trick people into defending it too.
Agree'd
bvs was hardly fixed with the extended cut and i don't think this will be either.
BvS was majorly fixed with the directors cut. Story was much more cohesive.
you got extended warlord scene, Lois's bullet analysis and snooping around bomber's flat scenes, extended clark doing reporter stuff scene, there's the one with lex and motherboxes, and the extended ''batman visits lex in prison'' scene. nothing consequential or significant, essentailly 30more minutes of exposition - i understand why these scenes were cut from the theatrical cut to make it shorter.
sure, there are less plotholes now, but the movie is still poorly paced, it has choppy editting and too many plot threads that don't go anywhere, multiple dream sequences (in a row) that are confusing and don't have any bearing on the plot whatsoever, and there's just too much stuff crammed into one movie. the characters aren't their comicbook counterparts either. why is superman mopy and why is he threatening people with death, why is batman a cold-blooded killer, why is lex so...lame, why waste jimmyy olsen, perry, etc.
It's still the same movie in my book. but longer.
You haven't even seen the movie yet, chill tf out.
I guess I'm the only person who agrees with Chris on this one.
Your not, I hated this movie
there's a shit ton of other reviews that have the same opinion as this guy
Nah,it sucks
I thought this movie was garbage :-/
Least Favorite comic book movie of the year :/ and this was the one I was looking forward to the most
I would only watch this for Harley Quinn.
She is probably one of the best parts.
true
And Deadshot, and Bats. The movie bombed, I felt like DC stabbed fans in the heart while I watched this.
she owns the fucking movie
And for captain boomerang.
Jared Leto as the Joker as a pro?LUL
Seriously how can anyone have any kind of faith in DC movies at this point?
I desperately want them to get it right so I still have a sliver of faith. :/
we need nolan back
then comic-con trailer comes out by Zack Sucker Punch, and everyone jump on hype train again >_>
This movie might be good I've seen a couple of reviewers think it's great
I know right.....
Only 164 dislikes? Have the DC fanboys not arrived yet?
1808 likes, it looks like Marvel fanboys has arrived.
I think they might be accepting it now....
SS was amazing, I saw the movie and it was the most fun I've had at the theatre in a very long time, the story was also very good and the character development was brilliant... I agree more with Jeremy Jahns and my only complaint with this movie is that we didn't get enough joker
You rang
sorry mate, DC fans has been busy to disliked IGN's review.
they don't care about a reviewer who has below 1 mil subscribers.
I've literally been refreshing all day lol
I did that for star wars!
SAME
Get a life.
+Milly Millz do you know where i can get one? Cuz I really do need one lol
Doug Habte 1) Get out of your mom's basement. 2) Apply for jobs. 3) Save your money for an apartment. That's all I can think of right now, lol.
How is Jared Letto’s character in this movie great?
Bc he did what joker would do
@Justin Eden lol his acting and outfit tf
Another DC disappointment, damn. Does Nolan really have to carry the whole DCEU?
Lol you the type of kid who loved bvs
I'm talking about hey yo btw
+hey yo salty kid? the movie is bad
The dark knight isn't part of the dceu
I'm sure that making assumptions based on opinion of a pretty solid reviewer is not a bad thing. However not making your own opinion, band-waggoning, etc. is a way of internet cunts.
Leto's Joker was TERRIBLE!
agree , 10 min of screen time and when he was on screen he was awful unlike heath that made you sitting on the edge
HE IS NOT PART OF THE SQUAD. DO YOU ACTUALLY READ THE COMICS
+El Diablo What? He's in the fucking movie, hence why I'm commenting on a movie review for that movie.
if you have a mindset like Chris Stuckmann about seeing much of the Joker, then you have been misleading your thoughts. This is SS and not a full movie for the Joker. Yes he was used in the promotion but at the end of the day, this is SS and not Batman!
What I saw of him was terrible. Jim Carrey style delivery of dialogue, terrible chracterisation, pointless inclusion
Yes... novie sucks.. Leto's Joker looks much more like an imitation than a character performance.
maybe you wanted to say "a bad imitation"
enrique vega LOL... you're the Man!
Oh yes, Jared "Cosplay" Leto
its funny that u know christian bale is Batman & Jared Leto is The Joker cuz Batman killed The Joker lol
enrique vega yup
What an incoherent mess. This movie had no flow what so ever.
JOE40341 I LOVE YOUR PROFILE PIC
Well if it's suppose to be like the comic it falls very short was my point.
I like DC and Marvel but the two best comic well 3 is Deadpool GOTG and Watchmen. Other then that I haven't much else that was very good comic movie.
Lol u do know that marvel wants dc to succeed to boost sales by adding competition
Batfleck could've saved this movie.
Or at least the Flash.
I actually think you'll like the review I did on my channel
ha. yeah ok sure bud cuz ezra millers flash is what everyone needs rn i do agree batfleck could have enhanced the movie more but then it wouldnt be the suicide squad also i loved this movie
I agree with your opinion. Trailers made me expect too much from this movie.
It was bad, not okey. its was bad. failed on many levels
I made all my friends who don't watch comic book movies buy early tickets for this, they are going to kill me 😬
Good luck they will probably make you watch fant4stic again and again
just enter the movie with no expectations, the opinion of an online critic doesn't have to match yours
+BK and PT i relate to this on an almost spiritual level
Rip
Yo I watched it and I can say it's VERY solid and really good
Literally one of the worst films I've ever seen. Amazingly bad. Like terrible fan fiction. BvS is a masterpiece in comparison.
Richard Geraghty why did you put “literally” at the beginning of your comment? using that word means that it can also be metaphor so putting “Literally” at the beginning is useless..
But still.. this is one of the worst superhero movies that I’ve seen
BVS was trash too
But yes it's a masterpiece compared to Turd Squad
The Batman
MoS B-
BvS D+
SS D
WW B-
JL D+
AQ C
S! B
I confidently assert that this movie wasn’t that bad and you are being dramatic.
Batman Vs Superman is Shit .
I've never seen so many mixed reviews for a Movie
The new Ghostbusters was out only a few weeks ago. Now THAT was polarizing. XD
Practically no two critics or analysts I follow had the same opinion on it.
+Mayeur000Donz haha good point
What about MoS?
Theres heavy brainwashing going on.
+ThatAussieGirl why so serious?
What's wrong with DC? Why do they keep fucking up their movies.
***** That was my opinion.
I don't understand this either. It's hard to believe the gap in quality, like... The WORST Marvel movie (Incredible Hulk? Thor 2? Iron Man 2?) is still FAR better than any DCEU movie to date. This is unbelievable.
I have. I'm in Korea and it came out here already.
+The Masked Rambler ^^this
It's Warner Bro's fault and ultimately Zack synder's vision for the Universe.
I'd prefer if DC would tackle some of their Vertigo properties as they fit the darker tones and themes that they are going for well, and an outsiders (directors, scriptwriter) perspective would be interesting to see.
im so nervous to watch this :/
chris' review i mean. here we go...
bahaha your profile pic is my phone background...had to stop by and tell you hahaha
+DARKKNIGHT831 I saw the movie and I agree more with Jeremy Jahns
+xDark Star117x really!?!?!? thank god.
+Andrew Bruening hahah nice bro. raider nation.
C is a generous score
Catherine Desrochers too generous
Wait, Jeremy and Chris don't agree? Are mommy and daddy gonna get their own houses? Did we do something wrong? IS IT OUR FAULT THEY'RE GETTING DIVORCED?!?!
Jeremy Jahns sounded like a paid shill.
Agreed I find it eerily strange that he had NO criticism whatsoever,
I trust Jeremy but, wow, he gave it a perfect review and even said it was the best DC movie so far
It's probably better than BvS so yeah it is the best DCEU movie so far.
One Punch
Damn thats like not good at all! lol
Different opinion =/= paid
Seriously, not everyone shares your opinion
The 3 hour ultimate cut will make it better LOL
lol so true
Ah, joyous days of DC! To only have to pay for a movie TWICE in order to get a SINGLE movie's screening worth of enjoyment out of >_>
No, FUCK Ultimate cuts!!!!!!! That's simply a flaw of the directors for refusing to cut down on the amount of plotlines and characters in one movie >< Spiderman 3 and Amazing Spiderman 2 had similar issues; too much crap in one movie ><
When everyone is saying that they are rushing to catch up to Marvel to cash in on the current superhero movies, it's the fucking truth!
Will they all share their mothers' names before or after the final battle?
+Jared Doucet The original film of BvS was four hours, so the Ulitimate Cut was not original and not so ultimate. That three hour version wasn't worthy of a standing ovation.
BvS was better than suicide squad, yet it recieves more hate because who knows why
Have you seen the RT scores?
+Joshua Price idgaf about RT lol suicide squad was a worst movie than BvS period
***** And your opinion is reflected in the RT scores I believe, BvS sits at 29% and Suicide Squad is at 26%. I'm not saying they're the end all be all but it's an indication of what the critics are thinking and for the most part I agree with what the critics are saying
So that's it, huh? We're some kind of...Suicide Squad?
Angry Joe said the movie was "amazing" I stopped his video immediately 😂
Every time I wake up I'm disappointed with my life.
Jeremy Jahns also liked it and I usually trust his opinion.
not really cause he shitted on bvs on some scenes that to me seemed like he was reaching.
Same !!!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂
if you cant handle somebody elses opinion you shouldn't be on youtube
I actually enjoyed the movie. Like, a lot.
That great! I wish I could but still good for u dude
Gonna watch it tomorrow
it was alright, mediocre but fun
i'd say it was colorful and fun...
First you got to pay to see the movie, but if you want to see the whole movie, you gotta pay little extra for it when it comes out on Blu-Ray/DVD.
technically warner bros but yeah
I really do hope that Suicide Squad gets an extended edition.
I kind of hope it doesn't.
DC needs to learn that they can't just keep putting out bad movies with guaranteed Blu-Ray sales from people who want to see "the good version."
Hope the fan base wises up and demands a decent movie instead of just giving their money to DC over and over again.
Wait... Chris thought Leto's Joker was good? I'm starting to question all the other things I've heard him say.
Suicide Squad XXX: An Axel Braun Parody with Asa Akira is out as well to those who were anticipating this version rather than the actual movie itself.
Which version of Suicide Squad you liked more mate? mehehehe
Lol you're gonna piss the fanboys
I wish the Porn Critic was still around to review it...
Asa Akira said that she'd play with pee, but poop is where she'll draw the line
i liked the xxx version better
Review The Shawsank Redemption,Pulp Fiction and The Godfather Trilogy Man!.
and Taxi Driver
100% agree with this.
+Generic Gametag bruh
+Generic Gametag lol
And: The Green Mile, Gladiator and Se7en.
Alarm bells rang when I read how WB wanted to do reshooots due to concerns that it was too dark.
Every movie is doing reshoots these days because they can afford to do so, it is like editing a paper it should help.
Every movie does reshoots anymore, but to attempt a complete tone redo is almost impossible and makes the film feel mashed together. That sounds like that's more the issue.
They looked at the "comedy" in The Avengers and thought they could make the same money by trying to copy them.
+Pelador Plays Wow, didn't know marvel invented comedy
No one said they did.
It was awful.
No it wasnt, it was ABYSMAL
Pie Pivotmontier-O no it wasn’t
It was *GODAWFUL*
CrasherX 2000 it was the vomit of a rabid dog after eating shit of a radioactive rat
Dude ! Nice avatar. That's a great record
@@PiePivotmontierO
Rest in peace
It looks like cutting seems to be the biggest problem of DC nowadays. I heard the Batman v. Superman Ultimate version is much better than the theatrical version.
+Jason Terrace so there is two version of suicide squad? just like bvs?
+Jason Terrace So they release the shittiest version to the public! That is so stupid thanks for the reply bro!
The Ultimate Cut is barely much of a improvement to be quite honest.
The Ultimate Cut really improves the editing/pacing for sure. It's a lot better imo.
The Ultimate edition of BvS turns an incoherently terrible film into a coherently terrible one. That's it.
I fucking loved it. It would be cooler if it was like deadpool, like red band you know
I felt like they were going for the Deadpool vibe and didn't quite get there.
Most likely.
Suicide Squad and deadpool are my favorite "superhero" movies i have seen yet.
Harley Quin "joking" was overused though
People take superhero movies way too much dude. Honestly you are not supposed to take Suicide Squad seriously you are just supposed to have fun dude
+황원 (포키) dude it was a fucking blast, action packed, funny stuff, how was it not fun? The editing wasn't the greatest in the first act but as the movie kept going it became enjoyable, you just have to loosen up. Not to mention the movie has more flavor than any marvel movie
You havent even fucking watched it lol
He does reviews. That's his job that's what he does. If he's going to have fun might as well he gives all movies A+.
+UA-camr Analyst I watched it last night you dipshit
5:57 dear god lol
7:16 DEAR GOD LOL
ok
9:11 DEER GHAWD
D E A R G O D L O L
Grace Randolph compared it to that too....
+oscar campos Ignorance is bliss.
+brian0918 lol
agree with you oscar. chris would love to believe he's really good at analyzing movies but its getting clear that his expectation blurred his reviews.
oscar campos I didn't even look at it like that.
Well, I just denied it. Come at me, bro.
it was a fun movie I liked it a c isn't bad. it did have clear problems though and most were along the lines of what he said. lots did feel cut out
+chris's conspiracy corner The movie honestly felt like a collection of random scenes strung together to make just enough sense to be acceptable.
fbrbt yeah so a c like i said it wasnt unwatchable shit as some people want to make it out to be but its not the best. despite the 2 hours it also felt weirdly short
it was a B quality move 100%. compared to the avengers.
cgi was bad and music didn't suit many scenes.
however i did enjoy it.
This was the first movie that I walked out off feeling disappointed.
El diablo going full Feugo was the best part of the movie...then they kill him....enough said...
yeah it's called suicide squad for a reason. people gonna die,and we all knew it was gonna be slip knot and that it wasn't a core bad guy
who else would it be? Killer Croc or harley Quinn? batman villains, Deadshot or Captain boomerang? key members of suicide squad... rick flag or waller also core to there being a suicide squad sequal.
i hate you
He had nothing to live for of course they killed him , he didn't want to live
Good one! And that's why you are alone in life!
The only good thing that'll come from this movie is all the Harley Quinn rule 34
you havent seen the movie yet
dumbass
neither have you Leon , so here take this L and shut up .
But that stuff already exists...
Dude relax you're like stressed out or something. Dude.
can someone explain the attraction to this Harley? she looks like an average hooker.
I saw Suicide Squad for the first time today and actually enjoyed the first 75% of the movie. I have problems with the end and the way they portrayed a few characters, but I don't think it's as bad as most people say. Maybe it's because of heard so much negativity that I was expecting worse.
u enjoy this movie because u enjoy consuming shit
You also enjoy hating on other people's opinion's
Fuok Er Looks like someone has a scat fetish or some shit (pun intended).......
Do you still feel like Jared leto's joker was good?
Good Job DCEU, You're 0 for 3....
Now the only hopes for dc are ww and jl
Man of steel was a success
1 for 3**
Joel Driver I mean it got 50\50 reviews
Yeah from critics. Generally most people enjoy MOS though.
Actually MOS had a very split reception
Wow, Jeremy's review was like the complete opposite. He loved it. Something fishy going on here.
it's mostly likely, that they liked the characters in the movie and the actors were great but the story was lacking. if the story and transitions doesn't work, there is no helping that movie. but I happy to here that the characters are the best part of the movie.
he probably just said he liked it to not hurt the fans
It's hard to take Jahns' reviews seriously. He acts like a 12 year old with ADHD and reminds me of the mindless idiots at the theater who get "bored" with slow-burn movies
+Thurgor Supreme But he's given many awesometaculars to 'slow-burn movies'
hes a critic cant expect nothing
You salty fanboys should be happy he gave it a c
I personally thought there wasn't a single good character in this film, and Jared Leto made me feel uncomfortable, and I cringed everytime he was on screen. Harley was fucking annoying, and at one point I was begging for Deadshot to just fucking kill her, and the ending where it's revealed the Joker lives confused the fuck out of me, how did he survive? How did he find his way out of the destroyed city? Why didn't one of the creatures kill him?
tl:dr
I think this movie fucking sucked
