I thought the riff in the intro was in 7 or 14 time, and sure enough arranger Mao Yamamoto on his twtr confirmed it's 7/8. Anyone who thinks Fami doesn't fit, she'll slap them silly. (Come to think of it, they're already silly for thinking that.)

If you saw Fami's UA-cam Videos and you still have questions, I'm starting to wonder what you know about Bass Playing. She, at her young age, is already playing at the top level.
Ever since 1980, when the British metal hit me, I have loved the metal that came in the eighties. Lovebites is version 2.0 from that time.Played bass myself in the eighties. And know that the 5 musical geniuses did not come easily to the phenomenal skills they possess. It took many hours (years) to practice scales and the techniques they have They have gathered the musicians of that time in a big pot, and have made a good tasting stew for the last 6 years. I didn't think there would be a band like that again, with the "big" sound. I'm sure that Fami will fit into the band. And I'm looking forward like a little child to the new album coming out and a live concert, with the young ladies. Thanks for another good reaction video. Merry Christmas. This song was the best gift from LOVEBITES. I have already watched this music video 50 times. Fami's bass is very good. Fami's bass grooves very well from the chorus to the guitar solo. Fami fits LOVEBITES perfectly. I can only look forward to the future very much. I'm hoping that there will be at least one more music video released before the new album comes out next February. I can't wait to hear the whole new album. 🤘🐺🔥
This reminds me of when I discovered SYMPHONY X over 25 years ago. "Sins and Shadows" and "The Accolade". I was blown away. For years, I said "Who will come along and dethrone the mighty Symphony X?" The band members were never wrong inducting Fami, a prog- fusion, composer bass guitarist. Her versatility and creativity provides the driving rhythms and fills locked in seamlessly with Haruna, who herself is an extraordinary monster drummer. Perhaps this is where they draw the line and say 'Sayonara' to Dragon Force, Metallica and Maiden. Hello to Malmsteen, Symphony X and Dream Theater. Trust lovebites, they know what they want. For this song, Fami's playing is reminisce of John Myaung's driving bass lines.
I don’t compare Miho vs Fami; they just have different styles and what is relevant to me is that Lovebites is rising again. I thank Miho for creating an awesome metal band; it was her vision.
Watched this Live on Friday morning - and I'm still trying to process Everything that is going on, both in the song and in the video. It is THE most dense piece of Heavy Metal I've ever heard. Mao's pawprints are All Over It (Yes, Mao Yamamoto is the 'Secret' 6th Wolf who wrote this gem). Love the Intro, Love the way Fami picks the first half of the main riff, and then Slaps the 2nd half (just because she can). They ALL are showing a lot of aggressive attitude. Midori is not only shredded, she looks like she Wants to Kick Your Ass. I could go on, but I don't want to go over the dreaded 4th Comment line -- So, Thanks for the Reaction B! Listening to this song, I feel that Fami has made a brilliant start, and I would like to congratulate them. Last year, when I heard "DYSTOPIA SYMPHONY", I felt LOVEBITES approached their peak level. But when I listen to this song, I feel "They are on their way up to a higher level." All members have definitely improved their skills over the past year or more. I am particularly pleased with Asami's growth. (If I may add...the growth of Midori's upper arm) ---------- from Nippon *It is a sentence using Google translation. I hope I conveyed my intentions correctly.
They're really taking it to another level, all of them (honorable mention of Miyako's speed, she said she was going to practice playing faster). I think that is due, on this song, mainly to Fami and Asami (M&M being superb as always). Fami slays! They couldn't have asked for a better bassist (and we were all so surprised that they didn't get a metal bassist), and I am so glad they're letting her be Fami and don't demote her to a Miho replacement. Did you listen to the bass parts under M&M's second solos? It was like lava bubbling underneath! And Asami doesn't just sing stellar on this track, she wrote it, and I'm actually lacking words how well she did. All Lovebites songs are good and some are fantastic, but this here is exceptional. The melodies are superb (a touch of Rainbow?), the chorus is the first time I actually got goosebumps during a Lovebites song. Above all, I like how they cut out the fat in the transitions, with the first chorus segueing directly into the solo, and the end of the solo part with the accelerated rising line, Jesus Christ. This is fantastic power metal songwriting and a great raspberry to anyone who may have said she doesn't fit the band.
I think youre absolutly right there, it is a big nod to Blackmore and Rainbow, on the other hand in my personal opinion M&M also slays Yngwie on his own backyard, not an easy thing to do, everything was where it was supposed to be...
Faster leads, Great vocals, great song composition, technical brilliance, Haruna as Haruna (best in the business), Fami great addition at bass, they all look beautiful.......WOW!
I won’t comment on the rest of the band because for lots of reasons, Fami has to be the focus of any discussion about this magnificent piece of music and art. She didn’t fill in for Miho. She didn’t replace Miho. To my ears, she outshone her. Without Fami’s input, this song would sound very very different…and I’m not talking intro and outro. I’m headed for a whole heap of trouble in the next few months because, on this evidence alone, Lovebites sound better with Fami. Listen to the runs she makes behind Asami. Talent. Raw talent. Please don’t remind me there wouldn’t be a Lovebites without Miho. Guess what? There’s a Lovebites without Miho…and it’s better. Now my turn for Christmas gifts. The solos seem to go on for ever but in fact last only 1 minute 15 seconds from first note to last. The whole song is like running a marathon in five minutes.

I think the biggest thing that a lot of people forget to observe about Lovebites songs is the composition. The song composition as well as the collective talent is what sets them apart from others.
I think it's safe to say that Fami is definitely a great fit! All the other members of the band stepped it up even more as well, that was one of my favorite dualing solos from M&M yet. All around fantastic song!

Goddesses of Power metal are back. this song is pure Epicenes. Fami fits perfect in the band. The bass line in the solo is just perfect. without the her part in the solo it would have gotten a way different undertone and feeling. They have all grown so much as well. Asami amazing vocals. Midori is buffed and awesome as ever. And Miyako not pregnant anymore and being as beautiful as ever. Great response, great music! To be honest, I was a little skeptical that Fami would really fit in and blend in with Love Bites. But it turned into a huge shock and surprise and I was completely crushed! Fami is the owner of terrifying ability! Thanks for the reaction! When it was announced that Fami would be the bassist, I had to convince some LOVEBITES fans that Fami would be a good fit for the band. If such professionals as Haruna, Midori, Miyako, Asami chose Fami, then this means that everything will be OK. And so it happened ! All OK ! And I'm very happy for Fami ! After watching a lot of reactions to "Judgement Day" already, I noticed that some LOVEBITES fans, while praising Fami (she deserved it!) began to speak condescendingly - disparagingly about Miho. Without Miho there would be no LOVEBITES ! Nearly 60 original songs and musical compositions from LOVEBITES (including 10 new songs from the "Judgement Day" album) would not exist today ! Haruna, Midori, Asami and Miyako would never have been in the same band if Miho hadn't decided to start this band ! Perhaps they would not even know each other closely until now. IF NOT MIHO, then there would be no band with such line-up, musical concept, music !!! There was nothing that we had the opportunity to see and hear today from LOVEBITES! Nothing at all .
Not immediately, but I remembered what the intro and outro of song are like. Guitar (probably Neil Young) at the beginning of the movie "Dead Man" Jarmusch. Also very dramatic and disturbing. The direction and camerawork is just great. I advise to look in the freeze frame at the general plans and especially at each participant. Preferably on a large screen and in 4K. It's just something unearthly. Another admirable side of this music video. The difference between the stage images of Midori and Miyako was further developed, Midori become even brighter and cool, Miyako - even colder and more detached.

@@GrayFox14 I watched the entire video sequence on pause frame by frame after about 10-20 seconds. There, every frame is like a picture, it looks as if it is painted with paints. How this is done, I do not know. Maybe with the help of a neural network. Insanely beautiful. And I must say, all the participants are very photogenic. Even Miyako has added a lot to this, it seems she has found an image in which she looks organic and very impressive.

The contrast between Black with hooded clothes (Witches or Nuns? 😳) in the dark and and White clothes of GODDESSES on a brightly lit podium... The struggle between Light and Darkness... ? And a mirror broken by Asami's sword... Miyako and Fami even switch guitars when they're in black or white. 🤔 I tried to understand whether or not Midori's guitars are changing. She has two similar ESP E-II Horizon guitars, one is purple and one is black. I peered but couldn't understand..... Midori uses one guitar or 2 depending on the color of the clothes.🤗 I can also add that Midori looks like a Viking Warrior. Valkyrie - hairstyle, muscular body, look, clothes. And for some reason the thought of the TV series "The Witcher" comes to mind. These are the associations I have after watching MV. Great reaction. You used the words fitting in for Miho. I disagree. Miho walked away, and Lovebites 2.0 resurfaced with Fami. I think Fami is spectacular. This is a more complex sound. You can hear Fami's baseline throughout the song. But man, Fami in that solo run....WOW. Miho and Haruna were joined at the hip. Fami is connected to Haruna driving the beat, but she moves over to M & M and adds a third wheel to the solos. This is the best I've ever heard Asami. Unbelievable power and tone. Haruna was nuts as always, but was all over the cymbals more than ever. All sorts of filks and transitions. Midori is as fast and tight as she's ever been. Miyako did exactly what she said she was doing during hiatus, and that's getting faster. She closed the gap quite a bit between her and Midori when it comes to speed. This song exceeded my expectations. This is as edgy a power metal based song that I have ever heard.
I'll have to go back and listen to what I said, but I'm pretty sure I meant like fitting into the spot that Miho left, with the context that many people didn't think she could fill those shoes. I definitely think she fulfilled the mission because she was amazing!
Midori is shredded and looks great OMG. Her second part of the solo reminds me at Michael Romeo which is really fantastic. Written by Asami (her nigher notes at the end are awsome), music done by Miyako for sure, Haruna always brutal on those drumms, Fami has nice sound-she is gonna bring lots of good things to the team. This is just mind blowing. Miyakos keyboard riff in the background-very nice. There is even names of 10 new songs already from the whole album. I think that they are leaning to progressive power metal a little bit with this song-love it. What have they done with new album? We will know in february but this is just fantastic.
So . . . Asami finds a sword in the woods and is able to draw it from whatever was keeping it upright. I think that means she's queen/empress now! The song is fantastic. Fami's tapping intro is wonderfully atmospheric; it's great to hear her front and center from the start. I love the avalanche of sound once it kicks in. This is what I wanted and more!

Happy Boxing Day, GMG! I anticipated hearing a great Lovebites premiere and a wonderful reaction to it from you for Christmas, and I got both! Interesting prog angle that Lovebites puts into Judgment Day: the staccato orchestral riff begins in units of 7/16, before it eventually adapts to the more customary 4/4 time. It maintains intensity, however, by beginning one 16th sub-pulse before the downbeat, resulting in a "normal" pattern that breaks down to 3+2+3 (totals a count of eight sub-pulses but the syncopation and fast tempo don't let you feel it like that) for the remainder of the song. Then as the song is wrapping up, this pattern reverts to 7/16, ramping up the intensity to the tumultuous ending. How def is that!? Seems like something Dream Theater would come up with. Now these ladies are showing some real prog swagger. Sign of things to come?

I still don't get these people obsessing over whether she can play Metal. Are you kidding? To me it's like hearing a Trumpet player playing Flight of the Bumble Bee and wondering if he can play Mary had a Little Lamb. 😁 Come on. If you saw Fami's UA-cam Videos and you still have questions, I'm starting to wonder what you know about Bass Playing. She, at her young age, is already playing at the top level.
Ever since 1980, when the British metal hit me, I have loved the metal that came in the eighties. Lovebites is version 2.0 from that time.Played bass myself in the eighties. And know that the 5 musical geniuses did not come easily to the phenomenal skills they possess. It took many hours (years) to practice scales and the techniques they have They have gathered the musicians of that time in a big pot, and have made a good tasting stew for the last 6 years. I didn't think there would be a band like that again, with the "big" sound. I'm sure that Fami will fit into the band. And I'm looking forward like a little child to the new album coming out and a live concert, with the young ladies. Thanks for another good reaction video. Her versatility and creativity provides the driving rhythms and fills locked in seamlessly with Haruna, who herself is an extraordinary monster drummer. Perhaps this is where they draw the line and say 'Sayonara' to Dragon Force, Metallica and Maiden. Hello to Malmsteen, Symphony X and Dream Theater. Trust lovebites, they know what they want. Watched this Live on Friday morning - and I'm still trying to process Everything that is going on, both in the song and in the video. It is THE most dense piece of Heavy Metal I've ever heard. Mao's pawprints are All Over It (Yes, Mao Yamamoto is the 'Secret' 6th Wolf who wrote this gem). Love the Intro, Love the way Fami picks the first half of the main riff, and then Slaps the 2nd half (just because she can). They ALL are showing a lot of aggressive attitude. Midori is not only shredded, she looks like she Wants to Kick Your Ass. I could go on, but I don't want to go over the dreaded 4th Comment line -- So, Thanks for the Reaction B! They're really taking it to another level, all of them (honorable mention of Miyako's speed, she said she was going to practice playing faster). I think that is due, on this song, mainly to Fami and Asami (M&M being superb as always). Fami slays! They couldn't have asked for a better bassist (and we were all so surprised that they didn't get a metal bassist), and I am so glad they're letting her be Fami and don't demote her to a Miho replacement. Did you listen to the bass parts under M&M's second solos? It was like lava bubbling underneath!
And Asami doesn't just sing stellar on this track, she wrote it, and I'm actually lacking words how well she did. All Lovebites songs are good and some are fantastic, but this here is exceptional. The melodies are superb (a touch of Rainbow?), the chorus is the first time I actually got goosebumps during a Lovebites song. Above all, I like how they cut out the fat in the transitions, with the first chorus segueing directly into the solo, and the end of the solo part with the accelerated rising line, Jesus Christ. This is fantastic power metal songwriting and a great raspberry to anyone who may have said she doesn't fit the band.
I think youre absolutly right there, it is a big nod to Blackmore and Rainbow, on the other hand in my personal opinion M&M also slays Yngwie on his own backyard, not an easy thing to do, everything was where it was supposed to be...

I won’t comment on the rest of the band because for lots of reasons, Fami has to be the focus of any discussion about this magnificent piece of music and art. She didn’t fill in for Miho. She didn’t replace Miho. To my ears, she outshone her. Without Fami’s input, this song would sound very very different…and I’m not talking intro and outro. I’m headed for a whole heap of trouble in the next few months because, on this evidence alone, Lovebites sound better with Fami. Listen to the runs she makes behind Asami. Talent. Raw talent. Please don’t remind me there wouldn’t be a Lovebites without Miho. Guess what? There’s a Lovebites without Miho…and it’s better.

The solos seem to go on for ever but in fact last only 1 minute 15 seconds from first note to last. The whole song is like running a marathon in five minutes.

Thanks for the reaction! When it was announced that Fami would be the bassist, I had to convince some LOVEBITES fans that Fami would be a good fit for the band. If such professionals as Haruna, Midori, Miyako, Asami chose Fami, then this means that everything will be OK. And so it happened ! All OK ! And I'm very happy for Fami !
After watching a lot of reactions to "Judgement Day" already, I noticed that some LOVEBITES fans, while praising Fami (she deserved it!) began to speak condescendingly - disparagingly about Miho.
Without Miho there would be no LOVEBITES ! Nearly 60 original songs and musical compositions from LOVEBITES (including 10 new songs from the "Judgement Day" album) would not exist today ! Haruna, Midori, Asami and Miyako would never have been in the same band if Miho hadn't decided to start this band ! Perhaps they would not even know each other closely until now. IF NOT MIHO, then there would be no band with such line-up, musical concept, music !!! There was nothing that we had the opportunity to see and hear today from LOVEBITES! Nothing at all .

Not immediately, but I remembered what the intro and outro of song are like. Guitar (probably Neil Young) at the beginning of the movie "Dead Man" Jarmusch. Also very dramatic and disturbing.
The direction and camerawork is just great. I advise to look in the freeze frame at the general plans and especially at each participant. Preferably on a large screen and in 4K. It's just something unearthly. Another admirable side of this music video.
The difference between the stage images of Midori and Miyako was further developed, Midori become even brighter and cool, Miyako - even colder and more detached.

@@GrayFox14 I watched the entire video sequence on pause frame by frame after about 10-20 seconds. There, every frame is like a picture, it looks as if it is painted with paints. How this is done, I do not know. Maybe with the help of a neural network. Insanely beautiful. And I must say, all the participants are very photogenic. Even Miyako has added a lot to this, it seems she has found an image in which she looks organic and very impressive.

I tried to understand whether or not Midori's guitars are changing. She has two similar ESP E-II Horizon guitars, one is purple and one is black. I peered but couldn't understand..... Midori uses one guitar or 2 depending on the color of the clothes.🤗
I can also add that Midori looks like a Viking Warrior. Valkyrie - hairstyle, muscular body, look, clothes. And for some reason the thought of the TV series "The Witcher" comes to mind. These are the associations I have after watching MV. Maybe I'm going crazy?😂

Great reaction. You used the words fitting in for Miho. I disagree. Miho walked away, and Lovebites 2.0 resurfaced with Fami.
I think Fami is spectacular. This is a more complex sound. You can hear Fami's baseline throughout the song. But man, Fami in that solo run....WOW. Miho and Haruna were joined at the hip. Fami is connected to Haruna driving the beat, but she moves over to M & M and adds a third wheel to the solos.
This is the best I've ever heard Asami. Unbelievable power and tone. Haruna was nuts as always, but was all over the cymbals more than ever. All sorts of filks and transitions. Midori is as fast and tight as she's ever been. Miyako did exactly what she said she was doing during hiatus, and that's getting faster. She closed the gap quite a bit between her and Midori when it comes to speed.
This song exceeded my expectations. This is as edgy a power metal based song that I have ever heard.
I'll have to go back and listen to what I said, but I'm pretty sure I meant like fitting into the spot that Miho left, with the context that many people didn't think she could fill those shoes.
I definitely think she fulfilled the mission because she was amazing!
Midori is shredded and looks great OMG. Her second part of the solo reminds me at Michael Romeo which is really fantastic. Written by Asami (her nigher notes at the end are awsome), music done by Miyako for sure, Haruna always brutal on those drumms, Fami has nice sound-she is gonna bring lots of good things to the team. This is just mind blowing. Miyakos keyboard riff in the background-very nice. There is even names of 10 new songs already from the whole album. I think that they are leaning to progressive power metal a little bit with this song-love it. What have they done with new album? We will know in february but this is just fantastic.

The song is fantastic. Fami's tapping intro is wonderfully atmospheric; it's great to hear her front and center from the start. I love the avalanche of sound once it kicks in. This is what I wanted and more!

at 0:40 in the original video, you can see the star. It appears to be set a little lower and the colors in the room kind of wash it out, but it's there!

Happy Boxing Day, GMG! I anticipated hearing a great Lovebites premiere and a wonderful reaction to it from you for Christmas, and I got both! Interesting prog angle that Lovebites puts into Judgment Day: the staccato orchestral riff begins in units of 7/16, before it eventually adapts to the more customary 4/4 time. It maintains intensity, however, by beginning one 16th sub-pulse before the downbeat, resulting in a "normal" pattern that breaks down to 3+2+3 (totals a count of eight sub-pulses but the syncopation and fast tempo don't let you feel it like that) for the remainder of the song. Then as the song is wrapping up, this pattern reverts to 7/16, ramping up the intensity to the tumultuous ending. How def is that!? Seems like something Dream Theater would come up with. Now these ladies are showing some real prog swagger. Sign of things to come?
