My strat has been using the full Genji set for protection, with my Materia being Mug (for the phoenix downs, obviously), High Jump for damage and I. Frames, Rebirth Flame and Healing Wave materia to help boost the DMW odds (the Rebirth Flame materia from the cave questline more than does the trick), Gil Toss, and of course, a materia to boost your HP as high as it can go. Of course, this strategy isn't completely foolproof, especially without the stats you need. I personally didn't bother much with defense in this fight, if only because the damage is so ridiculous that you might as well just abuse her phoenix downs and the rebirth flame limit to keep respawning. My materia to boost my HP has been Aerial Drain for pretty much the whole run, the problem admittedly comes in that Aerial Drain simply doesn't have the same attack power as High Jump. I mean sure, it heals back, but like I said, Minerva hits so hard that you might as well abuse raise status instead. I could do the costly punch method, but with only one hit to do 99999 at most, I figure at least Gil Toss has a better damage per hit ratio. Either way, both attacks have large wind-ups so you're risking it for the damage. Love this game, but as the final challenge left, having done literally everything else on hard mode, I think she just is a bit joyless outside of the "oh you can steal a ton of phoenix downs from her" you can get. She's the sole thing I turned hard mode off on.
Arial Drain- all these guides are missing you can fill your health with Arial drain fuse it max HP or ATK Whatever you want for the fight but is INSANELY GOOD
All you need to do is max your stats. Farm golden rolling pins from tonberry. Sell them to get like 5 mil Gil. Then just spam Gil toss in buster stance so they all hit critical High jump a lot Spam elixirs Keep Phoenix down on Fight on normal takes 5 ish mins that way
Not even a little. They are repetitive and mundane. Almost like they ran out of story and created these as a simple way to extremely pad the game. But to each their own I guess.
Ive been trying to beat her for almost 2-3 hours and I got her down to like 2 mil or something before she used judgement arrow and killed me somehow. I couldn't even use another phoenix down 😭
I have one issue when she does her judgement ability even though I have 99,999 health with Phoenix down on it still one shots me and I don't get revived? What do I do? (I'm on hard difficulty btw)

I cheaped her with SP defence SP attack, she does 0 damage on me I have around 30 million SP to spare it took me down to 6 million but I pulled it off 0 damage to me haha. Maxed out vitality and attack stats, didn't need to bother just spammed all attacks for 99,999 damage and a gil toss of about 50k x6 was it or 8 hits can't remember lol. she went down in less than a few minutes lol.

You can cheat your way with this if you spend some grind time getting darkness materia in mission 6-3-4 Item in the caverns in there with double item accessory if you got it and rare drops only then keep getting darkness materia of those demons and then level them up to max in 1st mission you can afk it on guard with an elastic band check back with it every 20 minutes or so all of them get maxed out and equip the other darkness materia, once you get 20 million SP or more then equip SP master which has guard all attacks using SP instead to block them, I beat minerva with 0 damage on me throughout the whole fight lol. my skill were Gil toss, darkness HP+999% SP Turbo attack, Aerial drain, Mug, and SP master. Getting hp+999% is fusing darkness matera on top of darkness materia and that takes a while to fuse but that is fastest way to get 999hp% My equips were Admant- bangle Black garb Ziedrich Genji glove 0 damage on me, and I'm doing 99,999 per hit lol. Didn't use costly punch, I find that too slow, Aerial Drain is the best.
Why do you get reduced damage from her hits? I have nearly the same stats, same equipment and vit 255 spr 215 and her hits are dealing 50-60 k while i am guarding. WTF?
Not my idea of a superboss, that term is reserved for dark souls. A superboss has aoe that cover the entire play area and dodge windows of 1 milli second. You can cheese this with the same few actions over and over. This is my essay, your welcome.

Every move can be dodged. If you can deplete her ability bar, you can do this without taking damage.

you have to knock the gauge to 75% or lower if it's at 100% it will kill you unless you have the invincible buff

i don't know why but even with 87k hp and 255 vit judgement arrow still 1 taps at even at 50% effectiveness
You need spirit against magic mate. Not just vitality. Make sure your spirit is up there as well
