Thank you for another great video of Joanne's home. So many wonderful ideas. I love how she uses her antique pieces along with reproduction pieces. Sometimes reproduction pieces are easier to find and far less expensive of antiques, they make a great alternative. I love Laney's excitement when doing tours and seeing how others put together vignettes. We all know the wonderful antiques Laney has in her home. These videos are so helpful to me to see how people have changed their homes into a primitive wonderland which is my goal. It is cost prohibited to find an older property. Which is a dream that is simply unattainable for me but I'm hopeful to recreate. So, I'm hopeful that you will continue doing videos. Wishing all a blessed Merry Christmas. Now that my grandkids are older I tend to add more greens, snowmen, antiques skates, sleds, mitten trees, etc and less of the Santas because we live in upstate New York with long winters and can leave them out all winter. The greens, white lights and winter theme keep it so cozy, warm and welcoming throughout the cold winter. Her favorite melt is my new favorite too, just bought melts, candles and sprays…they’re amazing🤎🤎. Your home is absolutely perfect!

You mention these places Walker Homestead etc, bumpkins where is all this located and all these shows you go to. Looking for more adventures this year. I have a 225 year old Greek revival with authentic old painted 18th and 19th century primitive cupboards, dry sinks, chairs, and tables. My house is joyful. This house looks drab and depressing. I live where there is a lot of snow and it’s very grey a lot of the time. Maybe that’s why I find it the way I do. All these new faux painted things. Black cupboards were never a real thing. Blue, red, gold, white. I’m 70 I’ve sold antiques and bought plenty so I do know a tad.
@@Ets638 we all have different styles and proclivities. Some people like bright colors and others like earth tones. I tend to like earth tones myself… they ground me so I find her home to be comforting and down to earth. The primitive style tends to be in more browns and golds. Reproductions are primarily made in darker colors.
