I think it'd be much more satisfying if it was more lightsaber clash and less stabby stab.
There’s a mod or something like that called “intelligent AI” or something i think I’ve never used it but from the videos I’ve seen it looks like they’ll clash swords and even deflect and parry you when you swing

Love this game, I just wish the NPC's were a little better at dueling.
thats the main reason i havent bought it. It looks great, great physics and interactivity but needs a combat upgrade.

when I was a teenager I spent untold hours in Jedi Knight Academy and Outcast doing light saber duals... now over 20 years later you have a game like that but in VR... this is amazing.

Honestly what makes this so good is that fact it is so brutal.
Fallen Order missed a trick there, that a lightsaber isn't just a glowing stick. You touch someone with that your arm comes off.
I honestly wish it was more brutal. It's honestly kinda jarring when using a big sword or a lightsaber and it doesn't cut into them just does damage and surface stuff.

There was a forbidden form of lightsaber combat that was basically just any of the other forms but you would turn on and off your Saber at random intervals. This made your your attacks unpredictable and hard to dodge, parry or block. Seems like you specialize in this form

that's why some people have a problem with prequel duels, in real life people aim for your body, not your weapon
@@TheHowlingEye Remember, force users have precognition. They know where their opponent is going to strike before they swing. That's why it looks like they aim at each other's lightsabers instead of their bodies.

@@decepticonjusticedivision9 the game is on steam for 20 euros and I personally use the quest 2 for wireless gameplay using virtual desktop but with that you would need a very decent router. In my system I have a 2060 super paired with a ryzen 5 3600 but I have seen other people getting very stable framerates with less powerful specs

@jorjor973 1. 16gbs of ram is usually recommended for gaming 2. You don’t need a program for installing mods, look up a tutorial 3. Your gpu is also very important
i feel like if you were a real force wielder, judging from your technique - i'd say you would have a purple lightsaber due to how quick and painless you make it (most of the time)
Mace windus style deflects the darkside targeted at him, kind of like borrowing your enemies momentum to use against him, it can be painless or outright brutal, depending on who you’re fighting

I haven't played this game. Can you have proper duels in this or is it overwhelming multiple enemy's only. Like I would like to play an anakin vs obi wan duel type of thing
You can ”pretend” to have a duel with a npc. The thing is that the npcs are just very easy
You dont have to pretend anything. There is a submod for heroes. This video itself is a modded version of blade and sorcery.

This is just brutal but if lightsabers were real weapons this is much like what real combat would be like.. not the PG rated versions we get in the movies or in the TV Series hey!!

@@manny3447 What I mean is if these weapons were real it would not be a series of staged PG rated choreography but it would be over in a very short amount of time such as in Kendo and as depicted above. The fights would be over almost as fast as they started but also the injuries would be absolutely brutal. I also expect that a lot of the injuries would result in the victim rolling around on the ground in absolute agony and not having an instant death. Also, if the fight was real between Obi-Wan and Anakin as not as it was PG rated in Revenge of the Sith I am sure it would have scored an R-Rating. It would not be a single swing that took Vader's legs and arm but a few as Obi-Wan ensured he could not get back up once down!! For example.. imagine as seen above being stabbed in the head by a lightsaber.. now that will never be put on the silver screen because in the Star Wars movies they always go for the PG Rating. Even the decapitation of Dooku was almost a second or less to minimize the impact of the wounds and fatal injury Dooku sustained. Also Revenge of the Sith had Anakin turn to the dark side where it was so just lame.. it needed to be deep and meaningful where we all felt the loss of Anakin to Vader because of our deep and meaningful connection but that did not happen. All we get is a bunch of surface BS and withing minutes Anakin is Vader and IMO it was such a wasted opportunity to allow us to feel something for the loss of Anakin to the Dark Side. Imagine seeing Luke Skywalker toy with the Dark Side in Return of the Jedi when Vader is trying to turn him but the loss we would fell if Luke did turn.. no one can say we got to feel that with Anakin in Revenge of the Sith. What is done is done though and given what we have been given by Disney I would take the Prequel Trilogy any day over what we have been given from Disney and their Woke Wars: Pandering to the Alphabet & Feminist Side!!
Violet Sobieski in star wars, the Jedis fight with a slower time perception, time slows down for them to have better reflexes, but yeah in real life without those powers, it would end really quick.
@@manny3447 I have a 2nd Dan in Advanced Martial Arts and weaponry.. staff, sword and the sai. I specialized in / with the sai and have 2 real pair in my bedroom right now. I can tell you that IRL these fights would be over very, very quickly. Most of the people who love Star Wars are not skilled or trained with 'lightsaber' style weapons and so they only know what they see on the screen which is 'a story in its own right'. Again.. with Revenge of the Sith Palpatine and the Jedi were fighting so fast they were only a blur but this movie missed showing us that as well.. just more missed opportunities!! I would show you a photo of my sai but UA-cam does not have that ability.

It would be super fun to play this. But it doesn’t really feel truly satisfying. Less duel and more just using your extra reach to stab them before they can even reach you with their blades. It would be cool if you slowed down and took time to actually duel them. You didn’t really parry and if you blocked a saber it seemed like it was more luck.

Nah, the Vader hallway fight and the Luke vs thee Death Troopers are a lot better than this. Disney is very much fine.

The thing is lightsaber fights aren't supposed to have any blood spilling around. With the temperature of lightsaber, all wounds created should cauterize immediately the moment it's created.
