    Great video with good information. Only thing I'd change is the camera angle. I may be the only one, but I had a bit of anxiety not being able to see down the road. 🤣

    So to be clear, the only advantage is that you can come to a complete stop with out pulling in the clutch, and then can start back up without using the lever, but you must shift the rest of the gears manually ?

    • @hotel-delta

      Yes, per the manufacturer. People that run it, will say differently.

    Hello, and thank you for this review and visual example... I would appreciate any ideas you might have. June 2121, I suffered a massive stroke that left me laid up paralyzed in the hospital for a year. I HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL AND CAN WALK AGAIN... MUCH HARDER TO LEARN THAN I REMEMBER THE 1ST TIME. MY LEFT ARM AND HAND ARE VERY SLOWLY COMING BACK AND IF I CANT GET OUT FOR A RIDE SOON I AM GOING TO GO COMPLETELY BAT SHIT... LUCKILY MY 1949 PAN HAS A FOOT CLUTCH AND JOCKEY SHIFT. I AM NEARING THE POINT WHERE I am willing to give it a shot... for months have been questioning my ability to ever ride properly again, have considered trikes, but the stroke left me 7nable to work and those things do not come cheap... have an old Yamaha sidecar rig I am trying to go through and get back on road. My balance has improved enough and I have regained intentional use of leg so holding the bike up is no longer a primary concern. Anyway, in advance thank you so much for any brainstorm ideas you might have. Much appreciated,
    Much respect

      I know that it's been done, that would be my ultimate encouragement. There are several products that you maybe interested in. We were in the process of fitting a trike up for a guy who had no left arm. Auto clutch, easy pull clutch, quickshifters are probably where you want to start. Even learning how to power shift properly can help. I would say it mostly depends on how much you can use the left hand. Good luck on your journey back to two wheels! Keep us posted.

      @@hotel-delta I thank you so very much for that! People have come back from worse, with less. I appreciate your words and helpful ideas. I, too, began looking into trikes, unfortunately they are outside my means. I will cartainly consider the possibility of combining a centrifugal style clutch with an easy pull set up as that seems logical and within reason, and ,correct me if I am wrong, but it seems I will still needd to use the hand clutch to downshif... is that correct? I had looked into paddle shifters as well, however they were a bit less affordable than I had guessed. Was also looking to relocate the clutch to a second right hand lever again, I thank you so much not only for the fantastic resource and review you have made available but for then going above and beyond with an individualized response addressing my specific situation. I am looking forward to your future posts as I am confident I will find valuable information and ideas in your posts. Again, thanks and if you have further suggestions and prefer to send them directly,,you are more than welcome to do so
      Much respect, sincerely

      I'll do a little more research on the subject and if something comes through the door I'll definitely share. I know of several riders who use the rekluse auto clutch and many have said they power shift with it constantly with out pulling the clutch however the manufacturer doesn't recommend it. I'm sure each individual along with motor/trans/clutch combinations are all a little different. Even Harley came out with a quickshifter for the Pan America this year that auto blips and revmatches for up shifts and downshifts without a clutch pull.

    Question, if slowing down, do you still Blip then downshift or just downshift? I was watching you closely to see the rev matching but I didn't see it

    • @hotel-delta
      @hotel-delta  2 роки тому

      If hard engine braking I would definitely Rev match or give a little blip. In the lower RPM range with a controlled clutch release you shouldn't have any issues

    • @hotel-delta
      @hotel-delta  Рік тому

      I would say that's a little situational. If you were downshifting hard to engine brake, I would grab some clutch. They use a blanket statement about using clutch normally except for starting and stopping from and to first

      Sorry, thought this was in response to a different video. Per the manufacturer instructions, you do pull the clutch for shifting. When coming to a stop it's just first nature. Takes getting use to for sure.

      It won't stall, and I know plenty of people who ride one that say it does allow for easier power shifts. The manufacturer states you ride the bike as normal except for stopping and taking off out of first...
