As far as Dracula movies goes I would say this one tops them all and fyi the only film that comes closest to Bram Stoker's novel is the 1977 BBC Count Dracula movie with Louis Jourdan not Francis Ford Coppola's version as some suggest as I have read the novel and know better than that and anyone that has read Bram Stoker's Dracula novel knows this to be a fact too

Used to sit up late into the Witching hour and watch these Hammer Classics with my dear old Dad, and that Spine chilling opening certainly grabs your attention right from the start!! With Cushing and Lee in their Iconic roles, this was Hammer at its very very best!!
I have never seen a video transfer able to duplicate the red as seen on 35mm Technicolor. The credits, blood and opening shot of Jonathan Harker's diary. This was originally Eastmancolor processed by Technicolor.Nothing beats film.

I agree. I've seen some of Fisher-Asher films (Dracula, Brides of Dracula, Curse of warewolf) on 35mm support and were astonishing.
