this is my first time in the golden gate city, so today i am going shopping in the most extra thrift stores the bay area has to offer! vintage clothes, jewelry, and everything in between, here is my silicon valley shopping spree adventure!

As a kid who grew up in Texas, for the longest time I thought that the “Golden Gate Bridge” was gold/yellow colored. When I found out it was red, I was absolutely crushed.
ikr I live in Sf but sf is very pretty at night soo
😄 I lived in California and thought the same! The red is pretty, but a let down from thinking it was shiny and gold.
Like same I also grew up in Texas and I always thought of the Golden Gate bridge with yellow not read😢
lets just blame the people wayyy back then that was painting the bridge for the first time😃

The German shirt is actually a Dirndl blouse, which you only wear underneath the Dirndl :) if you ever visit Germany go and look for some high end Dirndl, they have a lot of crystals and lace to them xoxo

Fun fact, I had my 5th birthday at the hotel she’s staying at. The Palace Hotel. We had “high tea” with a bunch of kindergartners in crowns and tiaras eating princess cake and petit-fours. Also apparently the Folsom Atreet Fair was happening that day… anyone from San Francisco knows that the walk over that day was wonderfully wild lol. A mood if I ever knew one!

my memories of San Francisco thrifting are/were informed by AIDS: beginning in '84-5, thrift stores began looking like high HIGH end stores --- gorgeous, tailored suits.. beautiful artwork... things you couldn't believe were let go of and donated...

As someone born and raised in SF, I feel this. So much has changed.
