Hope you all enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed recording it! Let me know if you'd like to see more, either with a comment, or just a like on the video :D
Just want to say I could not stop laughing for your entire intro of the game... I have been told I have a very grim sense of humor... starting to think those people might be onto something...
"Just because I'm a horrible writhing mass of homicidal tentacles and flesh, does not mean I am an uncivilized savage!" politely opens the door. ~Aavak, probably
You know watching people play carrion makes me want a horror movie where we follow the humans, but instead of the monsters low growls, and grunts it's just the commentary of the monster as they explore the facility and hunt the humans down. "Hello, Hi, Hello friends... Hello humans." And as it's slinking off into the vents you hear the muffled "oh I have an eye sometimes, being able to see is great!" The entire film you'll hear it's muffled ramblings with it clumsily attacking the humans.
Please do more of what ever this is. I kind of enjoy the fact that there are so many people interested in this. Kind of the same morbid curiosity you get when you see a really strange bug killing and eating another bug. This is how carnage should have been in the marvel comics.
My gods! I didn't expect this to exist! Who better to play it than the ultra dapper Avak, with the dark side exposed? No one I say! This was so much fun to watch, such an interesting theme too.
I've seen 2 other people cover this in the last 2 days. Neither of them were as entertaining as you at This Game. Please full Play-through. It feels more genuine when coming from you.
I'm so glad I was able to watch this (I'm a huge baby when it comes to anything horror) as your commentary and humor really is such a treat to experience
What If Dark Aavak Was A Game - the game. Also, it looks as though you can't eat supersuits - probably made of some indigestible material, the scoundrels.
42:30: Well, modern sweet corn supposedly originated from mutations caused when seeds were exposed to the Bikini Atoll nuclear bomb test, then subsequently grown to see what happened. Entire bags of seeds were exposed, though, and I imagine most of them didn't grow at all. There are (or at least were) also places where various plants are grown in "atomic gardens" with a radiation source to cause a high rate of random mutations over time, which are then checked to see if any of them are useful. I don't know if any of those use uranium though.
Ahah brilliant, when i saw the video i immediately thought of that discussion you had with Wander while playing Keplerth and hearing you address it in this video made it all the more funny. I hope you'll keep playing and having fun doing it, it certainly is fun, gruesome, but fun, to see you play this game, thanks Aavak.
Tubifex Worms are indeed a thing Aavak, 13 known species, though the true number is not currently known as the species are very difficult to distinguish from each other. So could be far more. They are annelids, so related to the Earthworm, live in lakes, rivers and occasionally sewers. They are a very popular live food for aquariums.
I am pretty sure this is a "coffee game". I hope you enjoyed playing as much as me watching you play, because it was a BLAST! Also, I love the little "Hi!" you greet your biomass to be with.
Very much enjoying this series! A unique, enjoyable approach to a neat game. Did not expect Aavak's trademark gentle approach to bleed into such a gory rampage sim, but it's a great touch. Will definitely catch any playthrough of this put up! (and eventually remember to drop a like on all the uploads! :D)
Having been giving this a go myself, I am so excited to see you playing this! This is probably one of the most fun Metroidvania games I've played in recent memory.
Yeah, I'm getting a HUGE metroidvania feel from this. Initially, it was only a little, but as I played through this video I kept coming back to the way things twist and turn back in on themselves.
playing the bad thing... reminds of my first experience in the original Alien VS. Predator game. took me a while to switch from my usual "camper" gameplay to that suicide-wall-running-head-biting xenomorph gamestyle - but was FUN
I really enjoyed the game and love that you are enjoying it also. I played with a controller and I must say it was VERY smooth and made me feel at one with my... tendrils. 6:20 LOL I was JUST thinking about how you were talking about gene mods in that. So good.
What a perfect game LP to watch on Halloween. It's even funnier coming from you given the disconnect between you a Welsh, soft spoken, gentlemanly type playing such an incredibly gory game. XD
In a day and age where so many games try to force some morality upon its players, at long last... here is a game where I can wholeheartedly agree with projected morality behind it. Adapt. Expand. Consume. Evolve. And so we shall feast upon flesh, blood and marrow of all life!
Thank you for mentioning that you have a second channel! Edit: Quite enjoy watching you play. Reminds me a bit as well of a character in Romantically Apocalyptic.
The juxtaposition of you talking about "smooshing (two games) together and make kissing noises" , whilst the title screen waggles what looks like a very ... mobile ... tongue at the viewer, was quite quite striking O.O
I saw Splat throw up a video of this and after your talk with Wonder over in Eldurunimunanin (yep, not even going to pretend to know how to spell that games name) for that collab stream you put on second channel (best channel!) this may be the perfect Aavak game. Now you can live out that dream of being all consuming flesh monster! edit: You even brought it up in game, guess that'll teach me for commenting before watching. But I was all excited!
This is very similar to a sci fi film I saw oh I don't know maybe a year ago, now what on earth was it called, can't remember sadly but it was pretty good :) Terrible post, apologies everyone :) but if you know the film please reply and put me out of my misery.
@@Malorn0 erm nono not the thing either the original or john carpenters version, although i do like both. the film i am thinking of started with a tiny spider like organism in a lab on a space craft and did exactly what the 'thing' (not aavak) in this game is doing.
Hope you all enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed recording it! Let me know if you'd like to see more, either with a comment, or just a like on the video :D
I would definitely love to watch you play through this game in its entirety, it seems amazingly fun.
Just want to say I could not stop laughing for your entire intro of the game... I have been told I have a very grim sense of humor... starting to think those people might be onto something...
please dear sir... please continue with this game... you're such and amusing pile of evil wormy sludge
I'd like to see more, but unfortunately, it won't last too long (I finished it in about 5h)
MOAR!

That would be so unique, it would be a fucking gold mine, I think. EVERYone would see it, just for the novelty. I know I would.
"I'm not trying to choke you, darn it, I just really want to fix your tie!"
This movie needs to be made, with Aavak voicing the monster!
This seems like the perfect game to let dark Aavak run wild. Please make a full series on this
Glad so many people seem interested in more!
@@Aavak please let Dark Aavak play this game..
Its been so long since he had a game tailored to his particular needs..

7:19 my tea is all over my monitor, thanks avaak.
Mwehehehe!
I love how everytime he goes into a new screen, the first thing he does is say "hello". Just friendly introduction before the murder.
This game is so gorgeous. The little details in the animation, like the chains waving and jingling as you move by them... just mmm, so satisfying.
I know right? They've got a fantastic attention to details :)
The best part of this was how much fun you had. Would love to see more of this game!

I was thinking he managed to pulp the humans on the insides of the suits and suck it out, but leaving that nasty plastic behind. *sag nod*
I do hope that if there is a sequel it is set in Kansas and has the subtext "My Wayward Son".
Fabulous game played by an equally fabulous person. Thank you for perpetuating a perfect organism.

I am pretty sure this is a "coffee game". I hope you enjoyed playing as much as me watching you play, because it was a BLAST!

So Happy you're putting this on your channel! Seems such a good fit!
Thus begins the life of Dark Aavak. From a tiny evil spawn to the eventual evil overlord we all fear and love.
I never knew how much I wanted to play a game as an eldritch murder spaghetti until now.

Hey Aavak! I heard this game was only 4 hours long, so I couldn't justify 26 bucks for it. Glad to see you doing a playthrough.

Pretty much. Less elaborate in some ways than a 'true' metroidvania, but still really enjoyable.
oh wow that is awesome! like that train-series with the end of the world and all that. I love it!
Final station! :D
This is the most entertaining play of Carrion that I have seen. Hope you get enough support to continue with it. For I for sure will watch it.
I really hope you finish this on YT (or stream and put in on AAH :P)
Hi Avaak. What a gentle..manster
Oh come now Aavak, you didn't have to bring up my nostalgia talking about ZNT to get me to watch this game. You had me at, "Hello".
This was a kind and most dapper of creatures until one day after running out of tea the staff gave it coffee. Ok on to ep 2
That animation is amazing. So fluid
Aavak, "I don't know if this is entirely sanitary". You know people have poop *in* them too right? :)
That is the strangest looking T-Rex I have ever seen.
I watched both you and Wanderbot play this game. It looks very clever and I think it's great to play as the bad guy on occasion.
ah, a coffee drinking dark aavak game and playthrough.

I watched ten minutes of this game and decided I needed to have it
Now this is a Dark Aavak game if there ever was one
Saw this today and wanted to play it, then saw you upload and I thought... that’s just as good! 😂
Saw Splat do a showcase on this... want to see more of it! Thank you Aavak!
oh god, those slurping sounds were very strange and yet appropriate hahahahaha
This is a fun metrioidvania game. I would love to see more of it.
This game and your commentary is a perfect match, love it so much Aavak! It's always a joy to see you having so much fun
More! The blood must flow! Feed upon the flesh of those who would have you dead!
This is why you don't forget to feed your pets.
Wow. you did say this would be on the channel soon. I didn't think you meant quite *this* soon!
I *thoroughly* enjoyed watching you play this game! More, please~
Wanted to watch the Factory town lp, noticed this one, this is better, reminds me of an old online flash game
eyy, I expected to see this game from you when I first saw the trailer. Glad to see it came true.

I NEED MORE.
I could not smash that like button fast enough!
Its like me when i wake up at 2 am on my way to the fridge
This makes me want to go play Prototype, anyone remember that game?
I do!
@@Aavak Any chance of a Dark Aavak Prototype playthrough?
Saw that Splattercat had done a first taste and was intrigued. Really can't wait to see your playthrough of this.
Hi, I'm your eldritch horror today! I hope you enjoy your time with me as I munch you and all your friends.
The amount of times he said “hello!” and “hi” is really funny and cute.
It's nice to see that becoming a chaos spawn did not hinder that legendary welsh politeness
a full series would be nice
Please continue playing, it’s neat seeing your take on this game
And being to broke to buy the game myself may be a factor
Oh yes! I love this game, and I’m so glad you’re playing it!!
P.s. I love how mobile the monster is. It looks so fun to move around
Wasn't expecting this game here, lovely surprise nonetheless!
Or a terrific one, can't tell :P
This is such a cool game....I love games where you can kill and destroy humans or blow stuff up! Please do carry on with this series. It's great. 🙂
Looks like doom is played in this lab or something like that
I had to comment before watching... I loved that game. I wonder who will play it: Aavak or Dark Aavak... There's a lot of potential here... :D

edit: You even brought it up in game, guess that'll teach me for commenting before watching. But I was all excited!
Lol!
I am not sure if I love this game or am impossibly freaked out by it. XD the art/animation is great however!
The art is a huge part of the appeal for me
Om nom nom: the game
This...."carrion"....gives me a lot of Carnage vibes...
Maybe the guards you aren't able to fully consume are cyborgs, and you can only digest their organic parts?
Like being a necromorph hive, or prototype virus. Hope they give some sorta mine or minion ability.
Full series please
Unfathomable levels of approval
Dark Aavak game
You bad Guy Bud dis does not mean you bad Guy
Yes, I liked this. Let the darkness run wild!
kind of reminds me of the carnage symbiote
That was amazing to watch, thanks.
MORE please
The dark Gish reboot
i rarely play new games i dont have a lot of free time, but this looks fun as hell
LOVE THIS GAME
Watched this video when the likes were at 666. Seems appropriate!
First, I love this, second it almost seems like you could play this without killing. If you can heal bio mass at check points
I'm actually real big fan, I enjoy your style of play and your soft spoken nature and unique non destroying nature
I'm not a bad person. Just had bad luck.
This is fun 👍
