Asriel is the most tragically fucked up character in the entire underground. first, he goes through most of his life lonely, and when he finally gets a friend, he is forced to watch them slowly die of buttercup poisoning. then when he refuses to kill the humans, the humans brutally murdered him without mercy or remorse, he becomes a flower, brought back to life, but lost his soul, his very nature, is slowly driven to insanity, and when he finally gets his body back, he uses all of the souls and breaks the barrier to the underground. so while his family is living happily on the surface, He is turned back into the soulless abomination only known as Flowey. he is suffering, yeah. he did some bad things as Flowey, but can you blame the poor kid? its not Asriel's fault all those bad things happened to him. i really hope Toby Fox allows a way to SAVE Asriel, because as said in the song, Asriel is the angel who has seen the surface that will bring freedom to the underground. he saved everyone. except the one he couldn't save. himself.
Flowey can't be blamed for whst he did at all. It's pretty darn obvious he gained the ability to play Undertale as a game and did what we did... Play around with it
I don't get how Flowey is so cruel but when he turns yo Asriel he is so adorable and sweet. I wanted to cry when I saw this, but luckily I held back the tears.
When he was flower he could not feel love and since he could just reset the world he didn't care about anything any more but when he was Asriel he could feel love and he could not reset

The line “in the one I couldn’t save” reminds me of my older sister, she was only by one year and I was always taller. She committed suicide when she was fifteen (I was fourteen). And she talked me and other people out of suicide and other bad things so many times. But I guess she was the one she couldn’t save. It reminds me of my sisters fight and what she did. She always volunteered and looked so happy but I remember looking at old pictures and others looking at the camera and she would just be looking out the window, or had her head down, no one would ever see anything I guess, we lived privileged lives and when talking she would be ignored cause of her life and i think that’s what pissed me off the most when it happened (I love this song and idk why i felt a need to talk about her but it reminded me of her$

He's actually my least favourite character and I didn't really find his story touching at all. The misery that came over him was brought by none other than himself, yet that's the last place where he'd look for something wrong. His hypocrisy was just out of this world. He did absolutely nothing to be deserving of mercy or forgiveness.

I watched this in 2017 and " How can a kid understand? " got me so bad. He was only just a kid. And he had to go through loosing his friend turning into a flower and all of those timelines he had to go through hurting those he cared for and loved. And knowing he hurt them and sometimes killed them.

He's actually my least favourite character and I didn't really find his story touching at all. The misery that came over him was brought by none other than himself, yet that's the last place where he'd look for something wrong. His hypocrisy was just out of this world. He did absolutely nothing to be deserving of mercy or forgiveness.
Everytime the "I couldn't save" part comes on, I just wave my arms around like a maniac.

Asriel always makes my cry thinking about the character.
I watched this in 2017 and " How can a kid understand? " got me so bad. He was only just a kid. And he had to go through loosing his friend turning into a flower and all of those timelines he had to go through hurting those he cared for and loved. And knowing he hurt them and sometimes killed them.
Im not kidding, this is the most beautiful song I've ever listened to. It literally brings a tears to my eyes.
