- Hey, I'm back with a Stranger Things cover! One of my patreons suggested I cover "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush from the new season (and also... from the 80s, lol) and I quickly fell in love with the song. I had such a good time putting this one together with my own little twist and I am so excited to share it with you. I hope you enjoy! I'm almost 50 years old, and this song is everywhere again : a huge thank you to Stranger Things, this fabulous series, for loving the 80s, the best years of Humanity, and to bring generations together: I watched this series with my 15-year-old son. What a beautiful share !

After listening to both the original and Colm's version multiple times, this is the first version in which I actually was able to catch the full wording of the lyrics, without gaps where I just made stuff up based on how it sounded
The Hound and The Fox did a pretty good duet version, as well. Had some neat camera effects too.

@@TheDeastman13 that clearly wasn't a "good deed," as looking up the lyrics had not only already occurred to me, but I had *already done it.* Furthermore, it was *completely irrelevant* as it didn't matter to the point I was making, which was that this particular cover of the song was clear enough that I didn't need to. And as anyone with above a first grade intellect would know how to Google the lyrics to a song, your comment was clearly intended not as a genuine way to help, but as a passive aggressive way to attack me under the guise of "helping"
You may or may not read it, but you can't imagine how calming your voice is. I've been listening to it quite a bit lately and I'm blown away how quickly you calm me down on stressful days. May sound odd, but thanks for the cover!
Finally, an actually good cover of it, the sparse arrangement makes it feel intimate and sincere. No unnecessary deviations from the original, yet it sounds like its own version. Big well done.

1:10 I had to watch multiple times to reassure myself that those wisps of dust were not portions of my soul leaving my body, drawn towards heaven by the haunting siren angel's song. I don't know how she manages to make me happy, sad and hopeful but also nostalgic for all I've lost at the same time.

This is absolutely beautiful. I discovered Kate Bush very late (I am 63) though my granddaughter watching Stranger Things. The tenderness of this song is not well understood. You bring pathos to it. If you watch Kate's video, you see the intent. Gorgeous, human heart cry.
