Seeung the names next go each other I just realised that Syd is the "Dys" part of "dyslexia" backwards oh my goshhh that's so clever! And Syd is like Sid so, it's perfect
This made me cry. I have a very similar situation, but with reading. It's like the letters are floating in front of my eyes. To read something I have to reread sentences several times (even my own). I felt like an absolute outsider among my peers and in adulthood. Until there was a person who fully understood my problem and helped me with reading. And still does! without making me feel like I am a fool :(
Thanks so much, @UrLocalBiPTFanGirl. Sometimes, it's just a processing issue, and thinking that the people around you don't have patience can be a stress factor.
Yes, @Catzarecute167! And the ice cream is all for free! 😅 With the videos being so short, I have to make certain selections sometimes! All the best. 💖🍦
I’ve been watching all of these neurodiverse friends videos and they are so sweet and fun that I genuinely almost started to cry (and I never cry over stuff like this). These are just so informative about neurodiversity and presented in such a cute way that it makes me understand people on the spectrum so much more! Keep doing what you’re doing because this little series is so special.
And then there are people who would say that they are neurotypical, but instead of asking for the icecream would stand there commenting "oh how tasty the icecream looks" and then get mad that you ignored their hidden request.
lexical struggle kitty is so precious, honestly all the neurodiverse kitties are adorable and i would love to have a video of them all taking a selfie together some day

If you wish to see a line up of them together you can check out the banner on top on my UA-cam channel page. I appreciate your support and wish you all the best! 💖😺✌
I love the Neurocats, they are all adorable. And it's true, us Neurospicy people tend to floop together, because we may not understand or have the same exact condition as each other, but we sure as schmuff know what it's like to ne an outcast. So far all neurodiverse people I've met are about 25% nicer, more patient and understanding AND less judgy than most neurotypicals I've met. These videos really fill me with joy. They're sweet, positive, very well made and simple yet complex. The animation is smooth as silk!
Hi @naymeequillo, thank you so much for your positive comment! I'm so happy to hear that you love the Neurocats and find joy in watching the videos. I completely agree that neurodiverse people are often more empathetic and tend not to be judgmental. I am really glad for your support and appreciation. All the best and many virtual hugs! 🌼💖😺
Oddly enough, I was diagnosed with both Dyslexia and OCD, so it was pretty interesting to see them just chillin as cats. I have to say I really love the speech bubble idea! Such a creative way to show Dyslexia.
This series is so precious it makes me wanna tear up :') I just got diagnosed with ADHD at 23, I have 2 siblings with autism and 1 other sister with dyslexia. Its so nice to see not just my own condition being represented but I get to see my siblings' perspectives too! ❤ Im also a big fan of the kitties being mostly female, bc neurodivergency goes undiagnosed in girls a lot!
This really struck a cord with me. Having trouble expressing myself or struggling to properly explain and/or understand something has often lead me to tears, and it's always so much better when you have someone you trust with you. Or someone who can, at the very least, understand your jibberish.
I work with dyslexic students in my tutoring, and I just want to provide some two cents from what I've seen, this obviously isn't everyone though: (1) Dyslexia often involves misreading groups of letters for a word that is already known, I haven't seen a student read a word as a word that does not exist. (2) Dyslexia often makes it hard to read things like names or places, or sound effects (e.g. it can be hard to tell that lalala has 3 las in it) (3) Dyslexia does not make reading impossible, but it can get difficult, especially with marketing like in point 2. For example, "ice cream stand" would be fine but "nice cream stand" may just be read as "ice cream stand" to simplify that struggle of uniqueness, and "John's ice cream delights" may be confusing as well.
Hi @frqubit, pleased to meet you! Thank you so much for your input. I've added your points to my database, and they will definitely help make my series more relatable. Your feedback is greatly appreciated! ✌☘
i love this gang :) not sure if you take suggestions but id love to see one where tourette's cat has a new tic (since that can happen pretty often for a lot of people with tourette's) and the rest of the gang is perhaps confused about it or trying to figure it out, and in the end gain more understanding for their friend. i get worried when i have new tics because im not sure how my friends will react or if theyll pick up the fact that its a new tic. have a nice day!
As someone that learned he was phonic dyslixic in his final year of high school it warms my heart to see the forms of it covered. Often just seen as reading backwards in media still. I'm pretty sure I has discalculia too but on a much lower level. Still I'll never forget the day near the end of grade 11 when the guidance consulor called me aside to her office having finally gone through my jr high finals (two teachers retired mid year who had figured it out but had to leave before helping me). She told me we think you have dyslexia. We need to call your parents. I sat alone in her office wondering if it was fatal as I never heard of it. Later in grade 12 I was sent out of town to be tested and he was shocked by my low reading skill and still being in grade 12.
Hi @ProfessM, thank you so much for sharing your heartwarming story. I can imagine how scary it must have been sitting alone in that office, wondering if it was fatal as you had never heard of it. Our fears often lie in anticipation. It's awesome to hear that you were in grade 12 despite your low reading skills. That proves that other forms of intelligence can compensate for linguistic challenges. I’m glad you find my series relatable and appreciate your sharing and support. All the best! 😺💖✌
So last year was my last year in dyslexia class and my teacher, Miss Wall, she was the best she celebrated the end of iur dyslexia class by Buying a cake And giving us the slice of cake because we all basically graduated from that dyslexia class. And that dyslexia class has helped me so much, because the last three years, it has been imprinted in my mind the memory cards that we did, the reading techniques that we did the spelling out words that we did help me And I am very grateful that you animated dyslexia and that you made the OCD cat Basically be the helper.
These videos always make me cry because they're heartwarming and they make me wish I had a friend or friends to be there for me when I didn't function "normally." I don't go anywhere anymore because people are always mean, rude and condescending towards me, even when I try my best.
I was watching an episode from a Cartoon last night called Static Shock, where another hero named Rubberband Man has dyslexia and struggled to read the instructions while trying to help the main hero. It was a good episode. I find it very interesting and very "star-aligning" that this shows up the next day. :)
I’ve never think I’ve seen dyslexia being represented like this, like it’s so good and the animations are amazing! Just thank you from someone that may or may not be dyslexic :P.

Hi @CDara, I'm really sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing. It's frustrating how little awareness there is about neurological conditions sometimes. We're autistic dyslexic and have adhd. This one hits especially because dislexea has been a huge struggle for us. Also if you ever do DID or OSDD I will sob.
Having a little dyslexic kitty be a part of the friend group makes me feel so happy and seen, it's not very often that you see dyslecxia being shown in media, especially in such an accurate way. It's hard being dyslexic, but it's wonderful having friends to help you along the way.
I relate to this so much! Dyslexia can get so annoying for me at times, but my friends are nice about it and will even make jokes to help me feel better about it❤
That's great to hear, @ShadoiEolf3221! Having supportive friends who understand and even lighten the mood with jokes can make a big difference. It's wonderful you have that kind of support. Thank you for sharing and for your support! ❤️
I love how creative your choice was to have OCD physically rearrange the letters Dyslexia spoke. It makes genius use of the medium of animation. Also, SMOL CAT.
Hi @Dratina, Thank you so much for sharing this with me! The second character has Tourette Syndrome, so she shouts and has facial tics. The tiny character is dyslexic, so he processes the word "Ice Cream" differently than how it's written on the stand. Ossie has OCD and an obsession with keeping things in the right order, which is why she can anagram so well. The overall message is to not judge by appearances but to embrace and understand differences. I hope this helps, and I'm wishing you all the best! 💖

They don't pay for it either, so a case of not looking a gift ice cream in the horn?
@@PixiGags free ice cream? Wow those cats are living the dream
Omg Revtrosity I love your SALOT vids
REVTROSITY!?!?!? HOW DID YOU GET HERE?
And then there are people who would say that they are neurotypical, but instead of asking for the icecream would stand there commenting "oh how tasty the icecream looks" and then get mad that you ignored their hidden request.
So cute! When Oddie was holding Syd? Ahhhh! My baby sis has dyslexia, and I have OCD, so I just felt so much kinship to that little pair right there.

Such a creative way to show Dyslexia.
your animations bring me so much joy as someone who might have undiagnosed adhd :D
my head cannon is that the ocd cat is the dyslexic cat's older sister, plus they're very sweet together
I was confused about the last cats neurodivergence, but then I read the description.
It warms my heart how yet another creator has found their own niche.
Thankyou for the small series, however long you feel like making it!!
This really struck a cord with me. Having trouble expressing myself or struggling to properly explain and/or understand something has often lead me to tears, and it's always so much better when you have someone you trust with you. Or someone who can, at the very least, understand your jibberish.
This video deserves a big like 👍.
Even that ending part with the third kitten 🐈 made me cry of happiness.
Just absolutely brilliant 😺👍.
Thank you, @ArttuTheCat! I'm very happy that you like that part, and it's helpful to know how much it resonates with you! All the best! ✌
I work with dyslexic students in my tutoring, and I just want to provide some two cents from what I've seen, this obviously isn't everyone though:
(1) Dyslexia often involves misreading groups of letters for a word that is already known, I haven't seen a student read a word as a word that does not exist.
(2) Dyslexia often makes it hard to read things like names or places, or sound effects (e.g. it can be hard to tell that lalala has 3 las in it)
(3) Dyslexia does not make reading impossible, but it can get difficult, especially with marketing like in point 2.
i have OCD and my partner has dyslexia, so the OCD kitty helping the dyslexia kitty made me very happy

i love this gang :) not sure if you take suggestions but id love to see one where tourette's cat has a new tic (since that can happen pretty often for a lot of people with tourette's) and the rest of the gang is perhaps confused about it or trying to figure it out, and in the end gain more understanding for their friend. i get worried when i have new tics because im not sure how my friends will react or if theyll pick up the fact that its a new tic. have a nice day!
@@PixiGags been over 15 years since high school and it never leaves you. Keep up the great work here.

I can't explain how much I love these videos, their so simple yet they explain so much about being neurodivergent.

Having a little dyslexic kitty be a part of the friend group makes me feel so happy and seen, it's not very often that you see dyslecxia being shown in media, especially in such an accurate way. It's hard being dyslexic, but it's wonderful having friends to help you along the way.

I love how creative your choice was to have OCD physically rearrange the letters Dyslexia spoke. It makes genius use of the medium of animation.
Also, SMOL CAT.
Just watching all of your animations at 2 AM crying. I don’t fully get it but some of these resonate with me in a way that words just can’t.
Hi @Dratina,
Thank you so much for sharing this with me!
