it's not that much finger length that is important but its more got to do with the suppleness in the hands and fingers and this is very hard to aquire if you did not start you where very young.
walken199 I wouldn’t say that. It’s really just dependent on how you practice. If you take the time to practice it with suppleness you will play it with that suppleness, no matter if you are an adult or not. It’s entirely dependent on the way you practice, and how much you practice.
@@gwynbleiddroach2589 I agree, I started pretty late, and have found this to be true, it matters more that you practice well rather than just starting at a young age.
No music is happy or sad, but a major or minor key makes us sense this. It may sound more happy for a song to be put in a maj key. Relatively, a min might sound sad. Yet there are only four real emotions, joy, fear, sadness, and anger. All music is sound that our ears are trained to make out as a threat or something we can manage.
o.O Is the microphone or this piano needs some voicing? I mean, each time i hear this piano I notice that the sound feels a bit muddy, so... that's my question :|
+Julian Felipe Granados Flórez All I do is put the camera on and use its built-in mic. I am not so high-tech. I just put the camera on and play the piano. I don't see any reason to make a huge production out of sound technology and always having to tune and voice the piano, which gets really expensive if done on a monthly basis. My videos are not meant to be "Deutsche Grammophone" recordings.
the goal of this video and many of BachScholar is to help beginner, intermediate and advanced piano players to approach to specific pieces, by providing a clear view on fingering, phrase, attack and movement of the hands. Since the videos taken are not from a concert, it has no sense to record them with professional mics ; the channel of BachScholar aims to teach the development of piano skills like technique and performance.
plzz can u make tutorials !! I love to play the piano I want to play in the world famous orchestras when I grow up I just love to play the piano !!!!! (: :)
i am a 65 man, i play this when i was teen till now, and i can tell you that i am still founding the correct way to play it and founding new sounds in it.
This is clearly a teaching channel and students use it to try and understand music in it's pure structural/mathematical form before they begin to attempt to fashion the dynamics for public consumption. In fact, it is no secret that this is a teaching channel. This performance is a wonderful model for students to use as a default base from which to grow their own understanding of Mozart's music. Keep in mind that there is a huge difference in dynamic capability between modern pianos and the Anton Walter piano used by Mozart. So, it is very possible that Mozart would have genuinely appreciated Dr. Hall's performance which has been recoded for teaching purposes. If you can play as well as Dr. Hall then perhaps instead of critiquing his style as computer like, you might think about launching your own musical career and perhaps applying to study with Evegeny Kissin or some other similar master.

Parabens!!!! Muito linda essa Sonata
E sim serviu como inspiração para eu continuar insistindo nesta musica para que um dia ela saia linda assim....
Where is the dynamics? They sound Iike mezzo forte to me :(
Agreed
he was probably just focused on making the fingering apparent for his student, hence the slow tempo too, but yes.
I always thought fingers length was an issue but seeing yours I realize it’s not that important.

@@robert6394 Or rather, it could be seen as a compliment.

It's for the piano competition. I think this video helped me a lot.
It means.
Needs a bit more expression but other then that perfect!
Gloria Oh I don’t think so, that’s not how you play those pieces in classical age,
expression would more likely to be used after beethoven.
Really??
Glenn Gould Omg you’re glenn gould ! thank you for your correction lol

Ok, that makes sense, because being a Steinway, the microphone doesn't do justice to the sound

lovely !!! Do you use pedal ? Thanks !
Lior Kauffman Yes, I always use pedal.
Little value; it is so scholarly interpreted ! still a long way to get to the level of any professional classic piano player.
i find very difficult to do the "dinamic" of this sonata. when i play sounds very gross

It sounds like a Bach's fugue in some parts, any particular reason for that ya think? Or is it just me :D
Moath Aziz Mozart did study Bach fugues and used similar techniques in his music.
Moath Aziz A Bach fugue? This sonata has virtually no resemblance to a fugue.
I think that you played it well but you had a slip. I am watching 2:57 rn
But the allegro part for me is so hard
