The clone changes made his anti air game way worse. Before the clone changes you would normally stand 1 into 21 slide for 18% when they changed the hitbox you could stand 1 f12 clone jump 12 stand 3 slide for 24%. Now the 24% version still works but is super inconsistent and actually pretty risky to go for and often not worth its because clone will be on cooldown. People like to complain they lost the f12 clone in the corner but I think making his anti air game weaker is far worse.
Excellent point. I was just thinking I needed a new route when connecting with Dive Kick against an airborne opponent and thus creating a similar situation. Max damage with Scorpion Kameo is standing 3 or 4 into Slide and Scorpion call, but I'll also explore some meterless options and get back to you.
@oldmanfgc so far ive ignoring damage to instead get advantage with the side switch slide (not if it corners me) it gives you a free clone punch,forward, or back dash. Pair this with sektor missile and you actually get good pressure.
@@damionbaxter4912 Klone Punch is definitely a nice follow up after the side switch Slide. Should have mentioned that in my last video, honestly. As for standing 1, most consistent I'm finding is standing 1 canceled it metered Vapors. Works at all heights and nets 25%+ depending on if you add a Klone into it or not. I do agree it's unfortunate that the previously cheaper option isn't as consistent anymore, though it is still there if you see you hit at the right height. Divekick if you're close you can actually just Klone right away. And if you have a kameo, obviously extending either is no problem. Sektor kameo has a lot of great utility, but I'm not sure if he helps Sub do what he does better, like he does for Smoke or Shao for instance. Certainly helps you pressure though, like you say.
@oldmanfgc I see sektor as forcing your opponent to deal with what sub does do. It might not make it better but they have to deal with it. It also let's you layer your offense.
You are never reacting with slide if they throw out random normals. The slide comes out at 14 frames, by the time it will hit its gonna be like 16-17 frames. No chance.
