I'm about to pull my trans 01 WJ 4.7 v8 and I know every single bolt size on this rig. I have lifted it removed A/C straight piped and have gone through with every fluid change and filter change on it. Watching this in double time is actually helpfull for someone like me who understands and knows how its put together. But for those who don't HATE this video. I would say learn to mechanic and read Chiltons manuals instead of watching a video in fast forward. Know your limits. Great video thank you.

Hi, great job, One question though, The New Torque convertor has an alingnement on The gearbox or it doesn't matter when you put it on The Flywheel?
Doesn’t matter , I used the original fly wheel
I finished mounting a replacement Gearbox with a good Torque converter, but The car performs extremly bad.
It doesn't drive Forward in any forward gear,... 1...2...or Drive, an also, another bad thing, it moves in reverse while it is in Neutral....
I know it sounds crazy, but I dont know what to do anymore... 😕
@@selariunicusor2013 you may have not had your torque converter all the way in. If its not all the way in when you start the vehicle you will destroy the trans

So did you have to relearn the transmission with a scanner? I’ve heard if you don’t do that it’ll fry the new trans

Kinda late to answer, but no, the 2.7CRD has a Mercedes-Benz transmission, the 4.7 has the 45RFE and 4.0 and 3.1TD has 42RE.
Wouldn't it have been easier to connect transfer case and transmission out of vehicle and installed them as on piece into the vehicle?
Maybe I could do that too , but at that time this way was easier for me and to be honest I think to connect them tougher will be harder to put it back
@@mechanicmode I only ask because that's how I'm trying to do it on my 2004 WJ. I have one bolt left, top passenger side.... seems impossible
