- Karen and Michele are back at the 1860's Extinct Rail line permission site for another day of metal detecting. They both make some exciting finds, including 2 Bucket Listers for Michele during LIVE DIGS! We both find some train related relics too.

Indian head pennies are made of copper not bronze
Depends on what he years.
From 1864 to 1909, Variety 3 Indian Head pennies were made of bronze (95% copper/ 5% tin). All other varieties of Indian Head pennies are made of copper-nickel.
