  • This tribal santhali dance is very popular in the districts of santhal pargana. Its is traditionally called ‘Bapla Enah’ by the local trabals which means marriage dance. It is danced by both man and ladies. The dancing ladies are called ‘Enah Kuri’ and the man with musical instruments are called ‘Mandarias’ and the mans without any musical instrument are called ‘Sogoi Kora’. The Sogai kora plays a very significant role in this dance….they actually make the dance more entertaining by clapping and dancing to the music and do a little rapping or playing with words occasionally in the middle of the songs matching their words with the music. The traditional musical instrument used in this video is ‘Tumdak’ and ‘Tamak’.
