I actually want to hear you guys's versions of "Yellow Submarine." That'd be fun. Nice picks again!

Has Sutter done a single-disc White Album video before? I think it'd be fun if not. It's a pretty popular challenge for Beatles fans, narrowing down all 30 songs to just 14 that would fit on one LP. White's my favourite album so I find it near impossible to choose🤣

That is a cool idea! I never thought of doing that. I'd be curious to see what he cuts. I'll see if I can get him to do it. (He's very stubborn and controlling about the episode content, haha.)

Hi. First time I've seen your channel. Nice job. I have a couple of alternates for you: "Don't Pass Me By" - The Georgia Satellites (studio version from "Open All Night", not the live version on UA-cam), and "Honey Pie" - Barbra Streisand. The Satellites put a punch into a song that's a little goofy in the Ringo version. Streisand, on the other hand, takes the silly McCartney version and makes it even more over-the-top, and more theatrical. See what you think!

I am a big fan of They Might Be Giants from when I was in high school. Haven't dug their newer stuff as much, but will always have a special place in my heart!

I think I found the video you were talking about at 3:50 I copied the dutch transcript, had google translate it and patched it up here and there so it makes a little more sense because the transcript is way off at some times.
Revolution number 9 that is an incredibly strange collage.
Yes of course they had tape recorders back then. So you could play the tape backwards. So there are a lot of pieces in there that are inverted.
There were references here to the possible death of Paul McCarthy (he laughs)
I was 12 when that record came out and I borrowed it from my uncle and I sat upstairs in my room, playing revolution number 9 backwards to unravel all those references. And then shivers ran down my spine. It's actually quite a scary piece.
In the middle of it there is also an awful lot of noise and terrifying noises
And there you are sitting upstairs in your room, quite scary. I listened to it a lot back then.
Of course I thought it was an incredible challenge to recreate something like that
But it's actually a crazy thing to do, because who's going to do that... well me.
If you play number 9 backwards you should hear "turn me on dead man".
Back then everyone used to play the music backwards. Anyways, It actually turns out to be a piece by Schumann.
The ending was also funny because then you get a crowd standing there shouting all kinds of things.
So I also had to think of something for that when we played it
There was a parking lot in Arnhem, we put a few microphones there and we had all male crew members and people from the orchestra chanting.
Well if you have all those pieces collected, you have to do it in one big session and paste it to the final version of revolution number 9
And so it goes on for 8 minutes and then some. That was revolution number 9
Hoping "Bart on recreating Revolution No. 9 by The Beatles" is the correct video 😅
