Loved it and Oceanana was my favorite home away from home at the beach. The last traditional beach vacation spot in the East cost. All others became like Manhattan style high rise condos with overwhelming commercial entities!
Don't kid yourselves. This was once the hottest entertainment and party spot between Virginia Beach and Daytona. Rides, food, bars, night clubs, concerts, hot rods, and an entire way of care free, affordable, way of life..... gone forever. Like it never existed. The Circle was THE place to be after dark. It was magic.
As a teen, I grew up on "the circle". From working at the arcade making change and giving girls free games on skeeball, pinball, foosball to rocking the nights away at "Night Moves" listening to bands like 38 special, Nantucket(my fav) etc. However, like someone else commented, all that has been, conveniently, and systematically wiped away. It was a blast there, what memories! All good things must end...right?
This Don't seem right in contrast to what it was like in 74 and earlier years where there were thousand's of 🌞 Beach bathers and the night life and band music around ever corner, what happen! I was 16 and 18 years young. What a great time to be young, healthy and free!
Nice reminiscence of those days. Back in those days, people used to have limited sources of entertainment. Now with the advent of different disruptive technologies, entertainment is everywhere which might be a reason why people are away from natural beauty.
