My dad has a 2 door 1989 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer. This is the only other Cherokee model I would want from that era. The 2 Door versions of the XJ Cherokee are the cleanest looking and most collectible.
Thanks for the detailed breakdown!! This build has given me so much inspiration for my XJ. It’s nice to know that even the nicest MJ in the world still has the same hiccups; hood won’t latch first try, ghosts opening the glove box, etc... 🤣
This. Is. AWESOME! A Real labor of Love for the MJ. I had no idea you could do a interior swap like that with an XJ. Really cool. Makes me wish I had one myself. Maybe if I'm lucky I can still find one. Keep up the great work ya'll & keep building.
I have an 89 Comanche that I can only hope some day looks half as good as this. Even the body work alone would be incredible. Hopefully when I graduate school and get a job I can get some work done like this.
Wow! So much ingenuity and hard work! I’m just speechless... it’s beautiful! What makes me happy is to see smart hard working guys put in the hard work and than have fun and enjoy what they built!
I have a 01 XJ hood with the 98 5.9 Limited Grand Cherokee vents added from the factory. Going to go on my MJ eventually. Love the supercharger and that you didn't just LS swap it. I've also wanted to get a set of those Rubicon wheels, man they look good! Nice truck!
You didn't even hafta talk at all the truck speaks for itself but thanks for letting us know about it. But overall beautiful truck. Hellz ya great job.👌👍👍👍👊
Great job guys! You have given me so much inspiration for my 01 xj that I just dropped a 4.6 Golen monster into. I’m always looking for new ideas and this video was so exciting for me!
Masterpiece ! ❤️😍🔥😍❤️ I do miss the original coolant reservoir though. 😉 been following this build since you brought it home from NC what you did is amazing Daryl! Not sure how you guys are ever going to top this build. I can’t wait to see you try though!
I bought a 2WD Comanche about a month ago. Needs some work, but I’m hoping one day I can do an engine swap and get some work done to build it out like this one
Burnouts for christ are better! 👍 beautiful truck guys. I wish I had money to build my xj like that minus the paint and fancy wheels. Just the meat and potatoes. Thank you for sharing. Love you guys. God bless
@@adamporter3742 $2000 I love to send pictures. I know some people talk out there butt lol 😆I have her on ramps I'm doing a cat deletion with resonator and replace the front end upgraded aftermarket parts .beautiful truck If you like for me to send pictures I have no problem I do all my work my self.
I'm looking at buying one with the 4.0 it's a 4x4 with an 8 inch lift kit. It's got 115,000 miles and is in really good condition but he wants 15 large.
I'm kicking my self for not purchasing the rock sliders from you guys. I placed the order thru nates4x4. But haven't received it yet and it's been more than three months. Anyway love your Comanche.
Yall did a month of body work on that!? I saw it at SEMA and it was choppy all the way down! The guy at the booth told me it wasnt meant to be like that but come on guys if you build for SEMA you build it right, as a paint and body guy I get triggered by this stuff, pay no mind to me im just rambling on. You guys built a badass jeep!
I'm about to buy a Comanche, and it needs a lot of work a lot. and seeing the work you guys did with this beautiful Comanche I would like mine to stay the same. I live in Colorado ideas recommendations. and how much do I have to have in my pocket.
I'd like one replica with a hot & ready pizza to go! Don't need the nitrous kit though; a bit too rich for my blood. I'll book a one way flight and trail that baby home the long way 😁
I’ve got the same wheels on my 86 MJ. Where did you get the vinyl sticker to place on the rim to get rid of the Rubicon emblem? I love the wheels but would like to do the same. Thanks for the help. Amazing build! I want him your videos on it at least once a week.
Any chance of getting some more info on how exactly you mounted that fuel tank? People always talk on forums about it being done but no real images exist of it.
I like the look of the amber lights attached to the fair lead but the way you did it makes the winch useless. It will cut the synthetic winch rope. if you look behind the fair lead opening you can see the metal used to attach the lights.
If I ever hit the lotto, I'm going to make an offer. Are you bringing it to Fairplex Pomona Sep 29th? I met Brian there, last year. Told me how to follow you guys. Been a fan ever since.
I would love to daily drive this and off road on the weekends. There would be only a couple changes or additions. Dual rear exhaust, rear airbags with onboard air compressor. Front and rear electronic locking differentials. Twin sequential turbos, and a small supercharger and inter cooler. And bead lock wheels and best dick brakes money can buy. And a touch screen stereo. Leather interior and vinyl head liner, light up gauge cluster. Other than those, 100% my dream truck.
Alright boys. I'm restoring my 88 4x4 Comanche. 66k miles, in the family since day one. The whole dashboard is cracking so where do I start to either replace the dashboard with the same year or better yet with a late 90s Cherokee dash? Help, I'm clueless
Why do the late Cherokee conversion, mine 92 is perfect, use to be the elmanotor 2x4 it's factory white . The late model stuff takes away, im 60 and built since the early 80's
Too bad Jeep didn't bring back the Comanche instead of putting out the Gladiator.
Its better this way
I have a new favorite Jeep. I would take this over a new JL Rubi any day.
My dad has a 2 door 1989 Jeep Cherokee Pioneer. This is the only other Cherokee model I would want from that era. The 2 Door versions of the XJ Cherokee are the cleanest looking and most collectible.
its about 3-4 times the cost
Absolutely beautiful. They should have never stopped making these. I had an '86 and loved it
Best Manchee build. Period.
We the people demand a video of the “30 minutes or less” lights in action.
This rig is nuts. Must be a blast to wheel with. I have some ironman offroad goodies on my xj and it's extremely well made. Good stuff.
Thanks for the detailed breakdown!! This build has given me so much inspiration for my XJ. It’s nice to know that even the nicest MJ in the world still has the same hiccups; hood won’t latch first try, ghosts opening the glove box, etc... 🤣
I just read your comment after making my own. Great minds really do think alike!!
Holy crap. Nice build. Covered literally everything, rear coil 4-link is like icing on the cake for me
This. Is. AWESOME! A Real labor of Love for the MJ. I had no idea you could do a interior swap like that with an XJ. Really cool. Makes me wish I had one myself. Maybe if I'm lucky I can still find one. Keep up the great work ya'll & keep building.

Late to the party on this sweet sweet rig, one of the coolest builds I’ve seen. I’ll buy it from ya 😉
I just can write one word... WOW!!! I REALLY LOVE YOUR TRUCK!!! congrats!!!!
I just love how he crawls under the truck instead of using a lift !!!!
Wow! So much ingenuity and hard work! I’m just speechless... it’s beautiful! What makes me happy is to see smart hard working guys put in the hard work and than have fun and enjoy what they built!

Well done!
Good lord - THIS IS BONKERS!

8:15 Both limit straps are dragging on the wheels and tires.

Bee-yutiful. Miss my Comanche (got t-boned).

i need a build like this
Nice ride!!!
I was concerned for a minute you had one of those stupid "Trail Rated" badges on this glorious truck. :D
Any chance of getting some more info on how exactly you mounted that fuel tank? People always talk on forums about it being done but no real images exist of it.
Nice
Very interesting build. I have a chance to buy a rust free, 88 Comanche, 2wd, 4.0L, manual trans. Did you start with a 2wd, or 4wd Comanche?
I like the look of the amber lights attached to the fair lead but the way you did it makes the winch useless. It will cut the synthetic winch rope. if you look behind the fair lead opening you can see the metal used to attach the lights.
That is a shadow, not the metal. Our fairlead light brackets do not interfere with the fairlead opening.
What was the hissing after you full throttled it while it was off?
So f'n cool!!!
Need a hood like that for an xj
If I ever hit the lotto, I'm going to make an offer. Are you bringing it to Fairplex Pomona Sep 29th? I met Brian there, last year. Told me how to follow you guys. Been a fan ever since.
Unanimous thumb ups!
What needs to be modified for 97 fenders and grill?? Im in Alaska and have an MJ and want to fix it up similiar to this..

Got a whole vortec max truck to swap the drivetrain into my xj 😁
see you in 5-6 years
i need some advice i need a good rear tube bumper like the one as my pic for that jeep

We didn't actually do the interior swap on this one, but there is probably lots of info on the forums about what to do.
#BringBackTheComanche
i still cant believe they put that Cheesey rack on a Great looking truck haaaaaaaaaaaaaa !
Amazing! How much to do mine?
SMS Headliners for a MJ Headliner
Breakdown of firewall modifications to update dash???
The Jeep came with the interior swap already done.
How much would you guys charge to do a similar build?
Can I get that supercharger in my TJ? How much?
the things i would do for this truck

Where can I get those fender flares can’t seem to find them anywhere

Did you guys ever sell or auction this off???
Nope, we kept it.
