Hey! Love your video and will definitely be using it as a guide to mod my own future Ajazz! Just wondering, does it matter if I switch up the switches or will sticking to the default switches and just lubing them is okay? Totally new to keyboard modding btw so have no idea 😅
it depends on what you want to do like you can just follow the video and lube the switches that came with the board but you can also use different switches as the keyboard is hot swap but make sure the number of pins on the switch is able to go into the keyboard (how many pins can the keyboard support usually 3 to 5 pins ) and there are other mods for beginners check it out on youtube (ex: tape mod there are more but i forgot the names lol)
Hello, anyone knows where I can get a silicone gasket? Im missing one, and im already turn my room upside down but cant find it so im assuming that it came that way
I am really worried about its build quality. Does it feel cheaply made from cheapmabs plastic ( body/case). is case durable? is it really well made, good quality build?
I've gotta say, I'm very new to the world of custom keyboards and modding them, but with the tape mod, is there a reason you leave a margin around the circuit board? I thought I would go to the edge. Also I heard you should push the tape down close onto the board, but you seem to leave yours hanging more, any reason? BTW I love this video. It seems ASMR is a huge part of the modded keyboard aesthetic. for your first 1k subscribers, you should buy a nice, warm photography light. Good lighting is so good.
Hey! Thanks for watching the video! :) for the tape mod, you can go all the way to the end! I just stopped when I covered all the hot swap sockets, but you def can go all the way to the sides :) I didn’t want to cover the Bluetooth/window switches as well :) hmm the tape I use is not that sticky so I think it looks like it’s hanging. But I definitely tried to push it down 😂 thanks so much for the advice! I am currently using a balloon soft box, maybe I’ll change it to a square one :D I’ve also bought light strips which I have yet to set up! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment! Really appreciate it 😊
Hey! Do you mind giving the link to the polyfill and PE foam that you own? I ordered some off amazon and am just wondering if i got the right one. I heard polyfill is conductive and can mess up my keyboard and was worried. but it sounds amazing here! Just bought this same keyboard
Hi, I have an ajazz ak820max magnetic it’s similar to yours and I have a problem with the jst cable it sometimes disconnects when I angle it a certain way. Do you think there’s replacement parts for it
Hi, i just did this on my Ak820 pro, 3 layers of tape mod, kept the silicon and used pe. Changed keycaps. Have you thought about something to make it more thocky? Is polyfill worth it? What are other alternatives
Check out my previous video on the AK820 Pro here!

Thank you for taking the time to do three builds. Plastic boards with clips are not the easiest to open and mod. Great video!
Thank you for your kind words!!😊
The modded version just sounds like the gift switches stock
I personally like how it sounded before the mod.
Istg PE foam in keyboard makes magic. It can even make bad sounding keyboard sound good
is 0:34 basically stock or did you lube the switches for that sound test ?
The switches are already lubed

where did you get these pe foam sheets
what tape should you use to mod the ak820 i heard that painters tape might be a hazard to keyboards with a battery
I've heard you can use electrical tape

Mine uses Gift Switch, after I tried it as in the video, but my keyboard sound is not the same as the one in the video, right? any suggestions/input?
gift switch and flying fish switch are different switches

i have it! it doesn’t feel cheap it actually feels pretty expensive! it sounds different irl etc but i have flying fish switch and it’s amazing!
@Crystalmoonsz thanks! It looks like it can be broken easily, it's plastic doesn't feel sturdy but as you say that it's good so okay I will buy it.

what tape did you use?

If you contact Ajazz support, they will be able to assist you.
Cute intro
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP! Hello everyone this is my cousin
Would you say I still need to mod the stabilizers with this one or I'm fine with stock no mod?
The stock stabs are decent enough! :)

Hi! Yes polyfill will make it more thocky :)
Pe foam is better than that from ajazz?
I was also wondering why did he removed the preinstalled foam
