I'm traveling on my motorcycle and editing UA-cam Videos with VSDC in my tent. I'm not a computer guy. Will I be able to throw this in my saddlebag and have it charge off my bike's USB port while I'm riding so I can have it fully charged to edit at night in the dark with the lit keypad? Also since it is an SSD vs my current HD I assume it would be safer bumping around on my motorcycle? Not knowing about computers I am thinking it should be able to run my editing program alright. My old computer, windows 8.1, is very jerky and impossible to edit 60fps so I have to record 1080 30fps and that is still a little jerky, but doable. Great overview, thank you.
That is a big question that we don't have the answer to 😂 What we can do if give you some assumptions based on what we know about the device.
The Flex2 can be charged via USB C, however we don't know if the wattage provided from your bike will be able to charge it quickly or at all, depends on the wattage it offers.
SSDs in general are better for bumps as they have no moving parts, where as an HDD does, with a spinning disc and such. These devices are also normally put through stress testing, but in any case, an SSD will be better at resisting the odd bump. Just be sure to keep it secure in a bag regardless (too many bumps will damage any device after all).
These Intel Evo devices are good at editing 1080p 30p footage (the i7 ones specifically) so you should be ok there. Rendering will be slower than a dedicated PC for editing, but that's expected.
Again, need to stress that these are just our best assumptions, as the use case you've mentioned isn't one we've had experience with. But hope that at least gives you some guidance to make your own decision 😃

No extra ram slot, the ram is baked on to the motherboard.

The pro because it comes with a bigger battery and it’s a better laptop overall. Think about it as this, MacBook Air vs MacBook Pro. There’s a big difference
Got mine delivered on 9th Feb from o2 UK on preorder. Previously using the original Surface Book when first realised. I have to say its a fantastic bit of kit. Especially as you mentioned if you have a Galaxy Phone 📱Some reviews have mentioned the lack of speaker quality but I have found a setting under Realtek Audio Console and once you toggle 'Enable SoundAlive' the improvement is so much richer. Hats off Samsung. And great overview buddy 👍👏
What benefits do you get having a Samsung phone? I have one and am considering the book, but 8GB of RAM makes me just angreifen and unsure
@@Pyriander I have a 2 x Samsung phones, one work one personal. With the your phone App you can recieve and respond to messages/emails. Even answer calls. So when I am glued to the screen I can continue with the task at hand without too much of a pause by not going to my phone. Handy for also transfer images wireless over Bluetooth. The 8gb of ram was a concern for me but using for business and pleasure, I always have multiple programs running. It runs very quick so no issues there. Starts up extremely quick too and the fingerprint scanner is spot on. Had my concerns on the chassis build as bottom and lid are aluminum, samsung support confirmed the chassis is made from magnesium alloy and not plastic. All in all the i5 with 8gb serves me very well. Hope that helps :)

@@Pyriander see Microsoft and samsung partnered up and Microsoft had thousands of exclusive feature just for samsung they have dual screen make your galaxy phone a trackpad seamless quickshare from windows to samsung phone (a rival if airdrop is coming too)
Microsoft and samsung is working on powerful arm laptop processors and samsung and amd is also making powerful arm graphics for laptop they will be all exclusive to Microsoft and samsung there are dex seamlese cloud
sync between windows laptop and smartphone and samsung ecosystem overall is deeply integrated too

The only thing that I don't like about this laptop is the giant bezel at the bottom. Take that out of the equation and you've got a beautiful piece of tech.
Honestly i like the thick bottom bezel with thin bezels around the sides and top

Soooo looking back how does this stack up against the Samsung Book4 360 ? it seems to have much of the newer models versatility, I'm asking as I want to buy a small Samsung (used) and feel I'm getting nearer to buying one of these small little units.....replacing my Sony Duo 13, its getting a bit long in the tooth now !
This is exactly what I was waiting for but can’t afford it sadly. Although a larger screen with a keypad would had justified the price somewhat.

I think the galaxy book flex 2 will be renamed to the galaxy book pro 360 with an option for lte and 5g.
The galaxy book pro will likely replace the galaxy book ion.
So Samsung will end up with the galaxy book s, galaxy book go and galaxy book pro as their 3 variants. Just my thoughts.

How do I make or at least receive calls? Is there a way to install some software, or is there an option somewhere in the laptop, to receive calls while using a laptop? (I also have a galaxy tab, and it works just like a phone, but the laptop doesnt respond to calls)
I don't have the option to setup the s pen buttons...i can only launch Air command,i can write,draw etc ,but i cant stop/play videos for example..
I just don't like the big chin.....

@@bobby_6455 ofcourse Pro 360, the S-Pen has lower latency and the size of the pen is good enough (like the size and girth of an actual pen/pencil)
Turn off the back music! The music volume is almost the same as your voice. While fighting the music it is difficult understanding you. If you think music keeps our attention my question is what do you want us concentrating on, you or music?
I have the first one and I love it. The only thing is the the ports on this one is better, luckily I got an adapter that was cheap. The wireless track pad is so cool. I got a mouse for it whenever I use it. But this second one is pretty good too.

Hi! Yes and no. In terms of making a traditional cellular phone call, no. However, you can use 5G to make calls in a variety of applications, for example Skype (which also allows you to call landlines and mobiles). You also have the Your Phone app which allows you to make phone calls from your phone, just on your PC. Hope that makes sense.

Hi just got this laptop, the s pen works as a stylus only, none of the air gesture features work (scrolling, pausing etc) i cant even find the settings to activate these, can any one help?
the s pen menu appears when i remove the pen and all of the apps work but that's it, cannot control UA-cam, Spotify, pics etc
