- On Saturday and Sunday, the 15th and 16th of October, 3801 sped from Sydney to Newcastle and back without a water gin or another locomotive, a sight not seen since it's 2007 restoration! Both returns to Sydney are seen at Rhodes and Ourimbah. Unfortunately, I couldn't catch the runs up north.

Excellent video😃⤴️⤴️Very cool locomotive and wonderful scenery😉👍️✨Thank you for sharing :)
Just saw the video, it's great! See the beautiful red steam train honking on the Sydney railway again! 👍 👍 👍 🌹 🌹 🌹 💐 💐 💐 😁 👏
In the early/mid-60's, I made quite a few train journeys from Sydney to Newcastle. The fastest had a 46 class from Central to Gosford, with a conical nose 38 from there on. It was incredibly fast and we arrived in Newcastle well before schedule time.
Yo this is really epic! I really wish that I could see 3801 irl.
Noice I managed to do some Trainspotting at Meadow Bank 2 weeks ago and i was also lucky enough to film the Newcastle Flyer passing through Meadow Bank.
Nice one.
Thanks!
nice👍👍👍
How do you get footage of trains and then end up at the next station to video so fast
im an olympic swimmer
I like the editing style in this video.
thanks
You coulda went to John witton bridge :(
first of all i've been there like twice now
and since i could only see the return trips you could only see the train from a back angle/facing the right (both cringe)
and it was going slow through there (cringe)
@@ObsessedwithTrains Wasnt for me, just slowed down at meadowbank then went round 70 over the bridge! I got some great shots cause the drivers release the steam and then round the end of the bridge it went to black
@@ObsessedwithTrains Also kinda unlucky as a D set transfer ran around 11am
@@canban778 yes i am aware
