Sony Hifi System Faulty Fan Repair

So i got this Sony System for £28 it was full of features however it had faults one of which was the fan was not working while i did not repair the board i made the fan work and the machine is defo working better

So my MHC RX110AV fan does not turn on even at high volume, but i think it turns on when its hot. Is this correct? thanks
