THE song that made me love the Damned ! After my father's death, I just could save only one Damned's album on vinyle before my mother sold the others. Its was the Strawberries album. And when i first listened to the album, this song made me say "Wouah , that's brillant !" Since that moment, I can't stop listening to the Damned.
Yeah I gotta tell ya....I got Darkadelic the day it came out and have not stopped playing it!!!! It's October lol, so at least 5 months lol...the bass lines throughout this entire lp....I mean.....so freaking incredible.....I love to pick out the bass lines as that is the instrument I tried to play in a band but it is tough to sing and play bass for me haha....i still tool around and try to learn songs!! thanks very much for your lovely comments, they're much appreciated...! and for the record my Ric was plugged straight into my tiny Fender Champ guitar amp with an 8" speaker on the "Blackface" setting....on the original recording I used a Roland JC 120 guitar combo. I dashed down to Southend Wednesday and had to say what a great gig it was sounded amazing and you all looked like you were having a great time. Great playing. I always loved the bass for Stranger on the Town. Used to try and play along with it on my Ibanez Blazer bass as a kid. Happy days!!! Keep up the great work sir.
