This was one of the most interesting auditions of this episode, not because it was good, but because Tom and Ricky showed the audience and the people at home that singing in tune can sometimes be less important than having REAL singing power... I think this Sasha can be a great vocalist if she gets the proper coaching and manages to loose some of her fear and doubts. On the other hand, having fear and doubts can be a good thing too, keeping an artist sharp at all times and providing ample cause for the need of improvement with every single performance... Good luck with that, Sasha and Tom...!

Very interesting comment Frenk. I feel in a way that the insecurities are what I'm drawn to in Sasha's performance. It's like the start of a novel and I want to find out what happens. She's clearly talented. She has a big voice and a soft tone -- an unusual combination. Women's voices usually gain complexity by adding 'growl'. Sasha's tone is complex in a different way. Hoh well... We shall see! 😎

I like how Tom heard her potential despite the pitchy performance, it really shows why he's the Legend he is. The moment he turned I knew this girl would go far in the competition.
Understandably nervous but contained so much emotion & rawness. Looking forward to seeing Sasha grow.
Well, that was astonishing. I am really perplexed. Yes, she has an effortless technique, with everything in place to be sensational, but she was so nervous and so off pitch that I was sure she had blown it. Listening several times I think I can hear what Tom and Ricky heard, but it seems like a big risk to me. I have to defer to the judges here, because I think on reflection they are probably right to turn, but I have to say I would not have, and perhaps I would have missed a gem. Only time will tell whether Sasha can overcome her fright and shine.
I suspect that, too. I thought the same during season 1 about that girl who was out of tune the entire audition and then went on Jessie's team. Forgot her name and songs, sorry. Didn't turn out that well, she kept doing that. Then again, she wasn't as obviously nervous as Sasha.

I agree with most of what you said, but I think Tom and Ricky turned because they can see the potential. Her voice is very pretty and strong, now she really needs training to sing in tune.
Maisie Levitt Hmmm. That's the bit I worry about. The tuning thing can be a technical matter, and both Tom and Ricky know all about that. But the nerves and the breathing issues just kill the thing stone dead for me. I suspect this may be a story that develops as the show goes on.

Guaranteed, she probably was nervous, if you're not used to singing to such a huge crowd, anyone would. But you can't deny the fact that she has HUGE potential! I thought she was AMAZING! :)

She's the most interesting one to me so far. Have to say I didn't hear what Tom heard until listening over and over and shaking my ears a lot... Will be fascinating to watch her progress. Hope she goes far in the competition because she's got a lot of potential. Great tone. Lots of feeling. Beyootiful girl. Big character. And I want her hair.

She was stunning and it was something different almost like a medley. We are human beings and are expected to be nervous. Nice people are usually nervous. She has done well even though she was overcome by the nerves. She can be trained to rid herself from nerves, but her talent is a diamond in the rough.

She has a fascinating tone. The first half is beautiful. The second half you can see her getting desperate and really pushing her voice, especially at the end and that is when you hear the strain. Overall though, I think we've found a star here. The right angelic song and she'll blow everyone away.

I actually really liked her rendition of XO . I think many of us can hear that she was really nervous and some parts were off pitch , but her voice is strong and I guess the moment Tom turned , she got the confidence to belt out the notes . Having this on repeat , really hoping she sings the full version !
