I do a comp similar but with two Druids instead of IG’s . Having solid success. I’m not the greatest player. Usually float around 5800 , so my input probably is super important. But still… avg players would do better with Druids
Personally I think for normal players with speed not a priority there are better options for Rootrider spam. 3 druids 9 rootriders 9 valks1 apprentice warden 3 overgrowth 2rage 2 freeze and a poison. Eternal and healing l tombe. Pekka or super valks in CC. So much variation to use druids for example 1 with siege barracks makes the pekka go further and better funnel. On ring bases just walk around dropping druids to heal army while core is overgrowthed.
root spell is more value in the game now, stop strong defense for long time just make every base become like premature base( not complete ) need to nerf this spell

I use 3 ice golems in my attacks, and i also put them in behind the roots. They have saved me at the end many,many times.
Do you think they’re better than having 3 Druids though?
