Souvenir ! Ça me rappelle mon enfance. Quand j'entendais ça à la radio national du Bénin c'est qu'il était 14 heures et fallait s'apprêter pour l'école. 💃💃💃💃😍🇧🇯🇧🇯🇧🇯
My parents got this record when i was a child. I always listened to this tune. Today im a musician. Thanks M wally badarou for all you have done for the music. I was used to your music even if i found it strange in the beginning for a senegalese boy. With the time i understood it. I have got the chance to become a musician now. This tune is my favorite.
For those who don't know, wally badarou has been performing on stage for only about 5 years or so. He started as he was becoming interested in acting. He said in an interview that never before he felt the need to perform on stage, which i think says a lot about how humble and dedicated to his craft this man is.
The most Nice comment that i read ..wally became Legendary african artist..when i listent her melody in thé jungle or in thé dance floor..ils hapiness world we need..
The record was released in 1982, around the period as sexual healing and Lagos jump by third world. Not in the late eighties as u wrote Olabanjo fashakin Wembley Middlesex
Felix liberty also sampled the rythm of this piece in ifeoma ...mean while j martins did a full lift off of this piece in iva a song he did in the 2015 or there about.
It would be a miracle if he or anyone close to him gets to see this message, because I'll definitely love to work with his song. Reminds me of my dad and my childhood. So much goodness in one piece. I do love the album "echoes". it resonates with me.
Ca fait plaisir de vous voir tout joyeux comme ça sur scène ! Et ce bon vieux HI-LIFE ! Merci (en ce moment c'est "rain" que j'écoute.. l'hiver sans doute..)
I remember felix liberty sampled this progression for ifeoma ....in Nigeria and the most recent one was done by j martins .....iva ....I've always loved the progression of this piece when ever it's being played now I see where they all come from ....great tune I must confess .
Kwassa kwassa...
The workshop you have done in the first álbum of Carlinhos Brown and in trilok Gurtu “the Beat of Love”!!! You are a genius! When coming to Portugal? I wouldn’t mind to try to rearrange a show here.
@blackCoffee et @RichardBOna, did you see this? Please make sure next gigs you invite this grand master. Benin for ever!!! The soundtrack of our young years.
This Instrumental made my childhood back in 1980s
Quel génie ce monsieur !
Beau souvenir cette mélodie qu'on utilisait pour nos concours miss de quartier
