제20회 WASBE 세계관악컨퍼런스 경기광주 2024의 축제 일환으로 곤지암도자공원에서 광주시심포니 오케스트라 금관앙상블(Gwangju-si Symphony Orchestra Brass quintet) 프린지 공연이 개최되었습니다.

광주시심포니오케스트라(단장 김장환, 음악감독 겸 Conductor 신정효)는 2016년에 경기 광주시에 거주하는 클래식 악기를 전공한 젊은 연주자들이 주축이 되어 결성된 클래식음악 전문 연주단체이다. 2016년 창단 이후 한국도로공사 순직직원 추모행사 조악대 연주, 정기연주회 개최, 찾아가는 문화활동 연주회, 광주왕실도자기 축제 연주회, 현악 앙상블팀 공연, 개인 독주 활동 등 경기도 및 광주지역에서 활발하게 시민과 소외된 이웃을 위하여 연주활동을 펼치고 있다.
아울러, 장래에 악기전공 음악인을 꿈꾸는 학생들의 전문지도는 물론, 광주지역 학생들이 모여 활동하고 있는 청소년오케스트라 단원들에 대한 음악활동 지도에도 온 힘을 쏟고 있다
The Gwangju-si Symphony Orchestra (Director Jang-hwan Kim, Music Director and Conductor Jeong-Hyo Sin) was formed in 2016 by a group of young musicians majoring in classical instruments living in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province. Since its founding in 2016, the group has been actively performing for citizens and marginalized neighbors in Gyeonggi-do and Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, including performing as an orchestra at the Korea Expressway Corporation's memorial event for fallen employees, holding regular concerts, performing at cultural activities, performing at the Gwangju Royal Porcelain Festival, performing as a string ensemble team, and performing solo concerts. In addition, the orchestra provides professional guidance to students who dream of becoming instrumental musicians in the future, as well as musical activities for the members of the Youth Orchestra, a group of students in the Gwangju area.
