Absolutely 👍.I own fifteen of them. They do in fact pick off the weak and usually starts with the eyes and as things progress...well you get the idea. I've discovered that if you keep the temp around 80 degrees and elevate the lighting about 10 inches from the surface they are not as skittish.Dual florescent lights T5. white and red. Minimal current also.
Ive seen a group of adult red bellies gang up on one of their own at a zoo aquarium. They ate his back half in like 30 seconds and he was left to die on the ground.
My buddies did the same thing started to eat each other. He fed them beef heart mainly also obviously lives too.
Used to be my favorite fish, don't think I've ever kept these specific kind but I kinda remember having to always start with 9,11, or 13 because it seemed like they would always weed out the weaker ones within a year.. anyway these look a little thicker than reds, will be cool to watch them progress 👍
Caribe, awesome ones! They’re basically red bellies with the black spot on their gills and more aggressive. Funny how one spot makes a big difference lol
I was super lucky with my reds they were great pets and I loved how they just float perfectly still among the decor, getting a new tank next week so I'm either getting wild caught reds or maybe a single piraya
I have been keeping Piranhas For over six years and I have 24 in three different tanks. My 75 gallon has seven that are 3 to 4 inches. My 150 gallon has eight that are 5 to 7 inches And my 180 gallon has nine there are 8 to 12 Inches. I absolutely love the species of fish and they are so fun to watch and to feed. Good luck with yours matt. I can’t wait to continue to watch their progress. Also on all three of my tanks I painted the back and the sides black and under the lights on top of the glass That the light sets on I put red duct tape and it gives at a very Erie look. I also have my Lights on a timer. They stay off from 10 PM till 8 AM
I might be looking for a few piranhas soon I'll keep you in mind...lol.. mine recently passed away after 7 years
7 in a 75gal .. that's alot..
This completed my breakfast 🥞 🍳 🥓 lol great way to start a Monday morning
Did you notice the fish killed the one with the broken tail fin your right picking off the weekest
What cool mini monsters matt can't wait to see them when their a bigger and become proper monsters.
You can't tease us like that! You can't say you've got the new fish then not show us! Not cool Matt, not cool!

Nice Matt, are the as aggressive as black piranhas?
They're close
Amazing video bro 🔥🔥
How much does aquascapeonline charge for shipping?
Maybe later on start a monster piranha only tank and get a lot lol. Would be awesome to watch them eat.
That's the goal down the road, 3-400 gallon piranha tank
That would be epic. Just watching them eat. You could do a series of them eating diff foods. Fish, meat off bones etc that would be epic.
Best fish to watch eat... only ones who tear shit up... all the rest just gulp things whole.. 🤣
what website did you get them from
where online did you get these piranhas ? 😍
Dude even when they’re like half an inch they’re powerful man
What kind of pirahnas are they?
Where can I buy these at
What type of piranha are these?
Where did you order fish from?

Where did you buy the Caribe’s?
Aquascapeonline.com
Pkaya thota pissuda yako
Pkaya huththa geriwesige putha sakkili balla thoge ammata hukapiya ponnaya
What about the water that was on the fish and the net ?
That’s trace amounts, no big deal
How big are they now?
There's only 1 left, he ate all the others. I'd say he's grown about an inch. Very slow growing.
Try raw steak cut small blood in the water makes them crazy. Feed them twice a week😎
I have a dumb question Matt but with these piranhas, when doing aquarium maintnance when you put your hand in there will they attack your hand or only if they smell blood? What if you have a paper cut can the piranha smell that and attack your hand and bite? What kind of injuries can you sustain from this? What about bacterial?
Good question! I've had piranhas before years ago, I was able to touch full size red bellies without them freaking out. I've never been bit but it could possibly happen. I don't think I want to stick my hand in there with blood in the water 🤣😬😮
They won't attack there more scared of us
I had red bellies for a couple of years it's better to use a net as a divider as there a shy shoaling fish and will stay away from your arm hand I got caught of one in the tank who test bit me on my knuckle as I was putting the filter back in place there bite power is another level so if one races for a test bite make a fist if you don't have time to get your hand out that way it can't get onto a finger a finger to a piranha is like a knife through butter, there teeth are scerated clamps like a bear trap and that sharp they can scratch steel, if they sense blood it sends them into a frenzy of attack the week object so no cuts also always make sure there fed before putting hands in and that the water level of the tank stays constant they have a gland that detects the level of water and are more viscous during summer if the water evaporates to low or you don't put the same level after a change.
What are the names of these piranhas? And would you recommend 4 or 5 in a 20 gallon tall?
They are Caribe piranhas, I would do a bigger tank because of aggression, I learned the hard way myself. I'd start them out in a 55 gallon.
My neighbour had some of these (red bellies my bad) along with a 2ft pleco in a 150 gal. He fed em beaf heart. However they are skiddist and boring besides at feeding. They are kinda like a silver dollar. Overtime his 8 became 5 they fucking starting to eat each other. Never went at the massive pleco though.
How do I get some ?
Wow. They tore him apart.
Where did you get them from? It's hard for me to get any because I live in Kentucky
Aquascapeonline.com
How can I get some of them I’m in Memphis
I bought these from aquascapeonline.com
I've had two red belly piranhas and when I feed them goldfish they seem to go straight up and cut them in half ,,but never eat the whole fish it's either ahead or an ass floating around the tank,,
I have red belly piranhas and they are sometimes active but a lot of the time they just hide
piranha are way more active if they ahve a dither fish. Tiger barbs are the best. The piranha are calmed by the smaller fish.
I do plan on that when they get bigger, right now they're small enough to consider dither fish a food source.
Matt’s Monster Fish yeah after I commented you added some live food. I opened my big trap to soon!! You clearly don’t need advice from me on dither fish either. I should think before I post.
@mark edman that is some good information 👊🏻 there's a lot of people who don't know about dither fish.
What water do you need for a red belly piranha
Warm water around 80-84° plenty of filtration as they cause a mess when they eat.
Ok thank you
How much they cost ?
Why is the tank on the floor?
We're can I order some of these piranhas ??
I like it.
I was waiting for you to show us them chowing down on little bro?
atleast u didn't make me wait to see these guys.
where did you purchase these type of piranhas? I'm looking to buy me a school.
Looks good but would’ve tried to get them at size of a dime or quater to raise them good in a group
I would've too but these are very hard to find and this was the smallest they had.
i’m doing that right now with red belly i am getting 10 of them they’re about the size of a quarter
Where can I buy piranhas In the United States I want to set up a piranha aquarium so bad
The black pirhanas are the most vicious
DAYTON STAND UP
I miss mine.
Awesome New Piranhas 👍 I think the Aquascape was cool
Thanks bro 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
@@mattsmonsterfish1615

I'm interested and I want to get some I need tips
Cool I also own monster fish
How many are left now ?
You should get a large black
Piranha ?
There's 3 left and I almost bought a black instead of Cariba
Matt’s Monster Fish blacks are impressive , but a little boring for me , I would love a 6ft tank and a school of caribe large ones
Love the video mat great work keep them coming 💪🏻
Feed them a live chick and a live rat and a frog when they get big
There will be some crazy feeding videos 👊🏻
Those are Caribe Piranhas right?
Can’t wait for the live feeding frenzy’s 🤙🏽🐠🤙🏽
U have caribas piranha each Nd 30 gallons for adult per fish space thts y
Sigh Sometimes I miss having my black piranha or my manueli 😑
Pls make more video
Is that Pygoncentrus Piraya ?
I think they are Pygocentrus cariba.
Resi Schmelz Thanks
Yep Resi is correct 💪🏻
bro stop getting yo fingers near that thing yo are scaring the fuck out of me
Thought they are illegal or is that just some states. Why didn’t you remove the weaker fish before it was eaten §?Bill
They're legal in my state, some states are illegal
Where’s number Five? There it is.
Tricked me.
Meh! Live feeding warning would have been nice
these piranhas are not the schooling kind, you messed up I think. . like black or gold piranhas they are solitary
Nope Caribe are shoaling fish, just at this size they're very aggressive towards each other. There've settled down now.
@@mattsmonsterfish1615 great hopefully they don't take each other eyes out.. that happened with my red bellies kind..lol
Yeah these are out of the same family as red bellies, the pygo family. Keeping these fish are always a risk.
Huge fan man of you and ofr. You are local! I live right up the highway in Springfield. Anytime you guys need manpower for anything or help with anything let me know I follow you all on insta!
Its piraña
🤪🤪
The most boring fish ever, sure it’s fun when they eat but the other 90% of the time their hiding or dodging light,my black Pirahna is ten times cooler and rarer and isn’t skittish like RBS
Most boring fish I've ever owned.
Red bellies yes, cariba no
