This is my favourite horse video on the internet. It gives me chills and makes me well up every time I watch it. Horse riding is a dangerous sport and we riders know that and we still go on with what we are compassionate about ☺❤
I love how even though people say horrible things about this horse but yet you stick with it and keep trying. My riding instructor always tells me, "If you fall off, you get straight back on." and I believe you have gone above and beyond! Some people would give up here and sell the horse. I would never and it shows that you wouldn't either without trying over and over again. I love those people that don't give up.
You and Onyx are amazing. You are one of the most talented riders here on youtube. Don't ever let anyone say you can't; because I have faith that you can. You become even more than the goal your trying to reach. I absolutely think you are a terrific person and you and Onyx will accomplish great things together, after you find a bit more trust in each other. Good luck :)
this is one of the most inspiring videos i have watched, i am in love with this video lmao, i watch it over and over again! i was in an extremly difficult place, i had all my priorities out of order my horses wernt getting the attention they deserved and i was not putting the effort i should in because i felt stuck..and this video truly changed me i am so greatful that you made this video!

This horse has such possibility--as does the rider. Groundwork, confidence and the relationship are of utmost importance here. This horse is trying so hard--but she needs more time without a rider to develop. Desensitizing and sensitizing on the ground to cues, objects and her leader are obviously needed.
There are a number of horses in this video, not just my new one Onyx. I am aware of what is needed and since these falls I have done nothing but bonding and groundwork with her. I bought her as a broken safe horse who was nervous for the first five minutes which is why I was on her. This clearly isn't the case and I know what I have to do now in order to sort her out, which is why i have not been back on her. Don't worry lol I know what i'm doing...
I respect that you care so much about this horse if I was you I would do the exact same thing. If you were like most people and didn't care you'd either sell this horse, abuse it or put it down. Good Luck! with her and I hope you and her do great things!

I think what you are doing is amazing and I love to see someone not just selling there horse because they have a problem that can be fixed but please for your own safety and your horses stop jumping and doing tackles it is just very dangerous! go back to basics stop riding do your ground work lunging long lining and free hand work, problems are a lot easier to fix when you yourself can see your horses movement. I am not criticising so please don't be offended its just a bit of friendly advice! :D hope you get sorted because you have a very pretty horse!
i have 2 horses... one i jump and do tackless with and the other is a pyschopath who i have been working with since the summer. i know what i am doing and wish people would stop jumping to conclusions that i am riding the same horse in every clip!

That horse has no business jumping. This is not meant to be negative. Lots of ground work, going forward and RELAXED. Cavaletti at most. I understand your desire to be slightly behind the movement, but getting a sock in the teeth over fences is not helping. Please think about before you delete. Been riding and teaching for almost half a century. I do really love your determination.
I started horse riding a year ago and since then I've fallen off 3 times but I got straight back on now I can't image my life before or without horse riding and I cannot quit horse riding is my hobby and I will not give up
For me it’s not to just not quit on one horse, this horse I just bought won’t work for me, even though he is my dream horse he turned psycho. He is a dream to ride, couldn’t even put a fly mask on the first few weeks I had him, he was a different horse when I bought him. Sent him to training he went lame, got diagnosed with EPM, out of work, treated, started work again but haven’t gotten a vet check. Now he is crazy every time I try to put a saddle on him. No matter how much I don’t want to give up on this horse because every time I see him he is so sweet and has a great personality, but to ride or work with he is crazy. My parents also think I should sell him. There is always a chance his epm could come back, and that would suck. But I love this horse and now I have to get him vet checked and I’m going back and forth on keeping him. I have no idea what to do
i was given a pony to ride he was a ass he would throw me off bolt off and scare my parents and fiends no one liked him he was horrid buy i did not give up i got stronger and keep on at it he got better over time and people started to like him he's now a show horse and gets taken to high level shows and it just shows to never give up and u have shown people that
I want to suggest something. Take "problem" horses to an equine chiropractor. You'd be shocked how much resistance and fear is caused by back pain. If that's a problem for that horse, and it gets fixed up, they become FAR more relaxed, willing, and trusting.
I had a horse she wasn't the most beautiful and wasn't the most trained and she wasn't the most perfect but that horse changed my life she was the best horse in the world she went blind in that shattered me but even if you can't see someone you can still trust someone and that horse trusted me as much as it can and I trusted her as much as I can so even if you can't see someone or hear someone doesn't mean that you can't be friends or trust them 😭😁😃😃
The girl that was pulling on the horse made me so angry. You have to make the horse trust you and you have to trust it. You have to make the reins loose, don't pull. Pulling makes the horse afraid of you, not trust you. This is my opinion so please no hate. Everyone has there own opinion on things.
I had this 14.1 black pony. he was so stubborn. he was fat, weak, and all he wanted to do was eat. I tried to jump him. He didn't enjoy it. He never wanted to run, jump, or do anything but eat grass. I sadly gave up on him. I sold him yesterday and I regret it so much. I had him for 3-4 years. Through that whole time I kept telling myself, "I'm going to get you in shape and show people what youre capable of" . But I gave up. I regret it so much. I regret getting mad at him for the littlest of things. I regret not spending as much time with him. and now that I don't have him, I feel empty. like no horse could ever replace him. and I feel as though it's my fault. That I just gave up and I wish I could go back and actually take the time and patience, but I was so fed up with his stubbornness that I just wanted him gone. and I regret that So very much. I'll miss you forever King😕😔
Have you ever thought the horse does not like to jump? Not hating. Just trying to say, if you want the horse to jump with you on him/her. Try beginning by allowing the horse to jump on their own to see if they like it. So put a log in their paddock or leave them alone in the jumping arena. If they do not like it, do not jump. A horses likes and dislikes are just as much ours as anyone else's. We need to respect that. Other than that your speech was very moving.

I just saw your video.. and i would like to know how did you do with your horse (the black one who's afraid of the jump) to make him jump... i've a thoroughbred and he does exactly the same.. i'm quiet sad cuz of that because i like jumping so much and i'm not able to making him jump :( Please, help! :(
+MlleCordon the most important thing is groundwork and building trust, it took me a full year to even get this horse over a pole and now she'll jump anything i ask of her, just be patient and dont rush things
