i would love to see a list of your current exhausts listed from quite to be loud.something hard to find on UA-cam. And staff picks for favorite exhaust.
You can disable the seat belt chime: "Put the key into the ignition and start the car. You will need to take the seat belt and clip it into the holder fully and release it 20 times within 30 seconds. Once you have finished that step shut the car off and remove the key. After 30 seconds with car turned off we can put the key in and start the car again. It will do the first round of beeping and flashing of the light and if you did it correctly and within that time frame it will stop after the first set."
Conflicting info about what gasket to use if you have an aftermarket downpipe... Kevin says here to use a flat gasket, but I kept having small leaks with the thick boy Grimmspeed flat one. (I have the Grimmspeed catted DP) Just found a different video of an STi owner saying you still need the Grimmspeed 3" to OEM with the donut gasket to keep it leak free, which appears to be correct. I just replaced the flat gasket with the donut and it's definitely better. If you notice that the AWE midpipe tapers down to a smaller diameter at the very end where it meets the downpipe, I think this is why... Still unclear, but hopefully it helps someone else.
lol thanks for the bolstering explanation. regardless of the seat being low or not, that doesn’t change the fact that it is in your armpit. the seat is too big for you. that is why they have sizing charts for.
Have the Track edition on my STi. It's super deep and very loud. Very nice rumble to it. I had the ETS Extreme before and its just as loud as that but the ETS is raspy (for those who care)
You should do a video on what it takes to make aftermarket seats fully compatible with the airbags and seat belt warning lights. This is a big reason more people don't install aftermarket seats.
Do you have a recommendation for me? I have a 2018 STI and my predicament is that I have a steep unforgiving driveway that just scrapes my stock exhaust. Got the Q300 and learned right away that I can't have an exhaust that hangs lower than stock. Any aftermarket exhausts that are the same height as stock or higher? Q300 might have been a tad too quiet. Don't want much louder. Last thing I want is to put on another exhaust and scrape the life out of it $$$. Keeping the down pipe stock FYI. Thanks
possible but not feasible because the twin scroll won't work with uel headers. pretty much have to get a more conventional turbo to make it work with uel. but not worth it. it works on the fa motor powered brz or frs/86 since you're mostly starting from scratch with no turbo and can easily get the uel headers first.
What's your favorite exhaust out there and what should our next vlog be? We want to please the people! www.subispeed.com/2015-subaru-wrx/exhaust?manufacturer=1693
Another great video. I have too know, where did you get the carbon fiber trim around your exhaust. I have an 09 wrx hatch and just fitted a japspeed turbo back with quad tips, so had to cut my rear defuser. But it would look better with the carbon trim you have, just to tidy up my poor cutting job lol. Can you, or anyone give me a link to them. 🤘🤘🤘
What about 1500-2000rpm? Does it boom like the stock exhaust? Cold starts make everything in my garage rattle and low speed city driving with the windows down makes my ears bleed. It also drones on the highway, all while being basically silent at WOT. Basically a complete fail as far as acoustics. They mention 'no drone' on their website, but don't explain anything. My goal is to make it sound more like a GLA45 AMG; almost silent during 'normal' driving and quite rowdy when beating on it.
Damm i cant believe youtube has added an ad after you finish your video Sorry but damn i need to here that exhaust on your sti. I have nameless axle back and thinking of getting the mid pipe soon or just a new one idk i want something deep lol no pun intended
just confused since you guys dont show any hardware assembled on the car for these, but the customer uploaded pic on the product page has those god awful bolts around the edge once installed. How did you install these?
Neil Landes He explains why the seat belt chime doesn’t turn off, and its not because the passenger or driver didn’t have their seat belt fastened. Watch the video and see for yourself.
Daniel Arevalo preferences man. My last car was a 2.0l Skoda Octavia RS 2015 350hp at an average of 8.5l/100km. Stock wrx sti wouldn't stand a chance. So much for a "real" car. Some people choose efficiency over power and that's the real thing for them.

30 seconds?! Ain't nobody got time for that! 😉
kevin don't be lazy.
Key in on position enter seatbelt in/out 30x while holding release button. When done turn off and on the car.will go away.
Thank you lol i shell try this i hate that sound especially when nobody is sitting there but my phone
Did the seat belt trick myself.. it works. Every time I would put my phone on the seat my chimes would go off..
Vlog style is cool. Now it's the STI's turn for the exhaust.
the love wrx its annoying for wanting to hear or see anything STi specific
Wonder if it would have a little better sound with unequal length headers. But it still sounds righteous
I enjoy the vlog style videos but would also like to see some good ol fashion exhaust fly-by and revs without music

Great video! Thanks for all ur hard work and effort keeping us up to Subiespeed!
lol thanks for the bolstering explanation. regardless of the seat being low or not, that doesn’t change the fact that it is in your armpit. the seat is too big for you. that is why they have sizing charts for.
The seat was not spec'd for me, it was what we had available at the time.
Just ordered mine yesterday!
How you liking it?

i am in same boat as Mauricio, is the track edition obnoxiously loud at cold start?
The lollipop in the box had four grown men at the Subaru shop I was having my AWE exhaust installed at laughing!

It's been on the list...
Great video. Is the AWE tuning exhaust better than the tomei exhaust.
This is an old video but you can turn that charm of but clicking your seat belt 21 times

This really sounds AWEsome 👏. Can’t wait to get my WRX to buy this.
Great vid I’m a big fan of the vlog style, would love to see a day to day operations in the warehouse type vlog
This sounds/looks good but I don’t see many people choosing this over the r400
Bill Nye true
Tyrone Trinidad For the price too, I think this thing is going for 1k and I got my brand new r400 for $870 with tax and free shipping elsewhere
I like the R400 but I feel like everyone has the R400 so this catback system is what I’ll be going for
Bill Nye where did you get that price? PM me as i would like the R400 for that price for my 2018 prem sport wrx 💪
k20a2toofast4u I’m not sure how to message people on yt lol can you pm me?
Wow there's actually a little rumble in there ;)
I’m told you get the rumble from the j-pipe.
You will never get the true STI rumble from the WRX.
Its just not possible.
Ahmed360 it's possible with a new turbo setup and unequal length headers. This exhaust just seems to have the closest thing I've heard to it.
Theoretically maybe, practically nobody did it or will do it, it is counter intuitive.
As Equal are more efficient than Unequal length headers.

Have you guys ever considered black chrome tips for your muffler deletes and maybe allowing them to be sold separately?
So if I install the awe track will I get the pops everything is stock like the j pipe down pipe, this is my first subie
What rpm are you turning while on the highway cruising at 60 mph? 6th gear, not pushing. Just cruising.
What's your favorite exhaust out there and what should our next vlog be? We want to please the people!

Bad thing is you have to clean the tips constantly to keep them looking good
what are those wheels and tires on that car they look sick?
Will this fit 2013 and 2019 wrx
Please do an SPT Nameless Axle back exhaust review difference. In cabin and out. Thanks!
oh shit bro i might be coming to see you, im in Davenport IA. I just noticed the IA plates

Does exhaust require a tune? Or is it recommended?
Hope you got an answer by now but just in case 😂 no tune needed for catback exhausts
Definitely looks and sounds like a quality piece! Love these vlogs too!
How are your sparco seats mounted? You mentioned "no bracket" any more details on that you can show

That blow pop tho!
souds good, by the way are the V2 tail lights coming soon?
Late Summer
I was told the 2018 sti exhausts won’t fit on the 2019. Any news?
What kind of Sparco seats are those? Do they recline?
Newbie here, would you recommend exhaust upgrade on the WRX CVT????
I put the awe track exhaust on my automatic and it makes a big difference and less drone then the stock system
Is this one a high flow catback?
Is this one legal in California
Is this exhaust compatible with the grim speed j pipe?
Is the car on?
Vlog style video is great! Thanks for asking.
Is there a link to this specific one?
Is there a straight pipe i can get off yall? Ive been looking for a 3"
Tune needed for catback?
When's the next batch of V2 headlights due in? Soon?
I like the video... can you do a Track version?
Track exhaust, that is.
what kind of j pipe do guys have with this setup
What kind of rear splats are those?
Do a iag aos install video?
No STI sound clip?
Soon, in another video!
Weight and dB reading compared to stock for the sti too please
Damm i cant believe youtube has added an ad after you finish your video
Sorry but damn i need to here that exhaust on your sti. I have nameless axle back and thinking of getting the mid pipe soon or just a new one idk i want something deep lol no pun intended
Before and after ads... Some straight up bullshit! Although, I've only experienced it on mobile devices.
You know you can stop that seat belt chime right?
Hey, where did you get the woodtrim steering wheel?
Its carbon fiber
Turn the key ahead to accessories on position and click the seat belt in and out 20 times within 30 seconds. Your welcome
What’s the Drone like on the touring?
The exhaust installed was the touring.
Please put it on the STI!!!
More vlogs! Definitely.
More Track Days!
Why don’t you sell that exhaust hanger tool on your site for couple thousands bucks?
Fantastic idea!
ID info on those carbon fiber exhaust shrouds?
www.subispeed.com/2015-subaru-wrx/exterior/rear-lips-diffusers/olm-va-style-carbon-fiber-rear-bumper-exhaust-finishers-2015-wrx-2015-sti
just confused since you guys dont show any hardware assembled on the car for these, but the customer uploaded pic on the product page has those god awful bolts around the edge once installed. How did you install these?
Anthony DeSante rivets and 3M
But in this video, the rivets aren't used, which is why I'm confused as to how you mounted it w/o them.
Size of the end tips please?
102mm ~ 4in
More shop vlogs. More STI
what about crosstrek mods
First!! Des Moines Brother here!!!!!!
i prefer the fujitsubo
shift-face @ 5:12
Exhaust vids should have a few casual drive bys and a few RIPs. Thats the only thing missing; great video otherwise!
Just a preview. We have plenty of exhaust showcases we've done and will be sure to include more driving shots that people are used to seeing.
Can I have it?!
Sure can!
Ffs cut the wire on seat belt alarm
'This exhaust comes with blowing pops, but not the kind that you expect'
I have yet to find a set up I like. Even this one sounds like crap.
Need a video with just a upgraded J-pipe
More forester at stuff!!!
In cabin noise seems terrible
Over priced, better options for cheaper. Check the nasioc forums post they did.
Vinnyc3nzo better is subjective
SubiSpeed you’re not wrong
How about stop talking and let us hear the exhaust lol
I'm sorry, I quit watching due to your camera man not having his seat belt on.. Come on, your making a video.. All I here is chime...
Neil Landes He explains why the seat belt chime doesn’t turn off, and its not because the passenger or driver didn’t have their seat belt fastened. Watch the video and see for yourself.
4cylinder engine with 4 exhaust doesn't sound nice at all. Actually the 1 regular big exhaust sounded much better.
wrx's sound so terrible lmao
Daniel Arevalo said the guy who has wet dreams of driving one.
No
dave joe I actually own a real car. An STi. WRX’s are for children.
Niklas Budrovcan so you’re saying stock sti wouldn’t stand a chance against your 230hp fwd no name car? Okay....
is this one has jpipe on? and have a tune?
