Pedro Pascal did such a good job with this role. Even when you couldn't see his face, you could tell by just his body language or tone of voice what he was thinking or feeling. Even so, after seeing him in the last two episodes with his helmet off, I've been going back to some of my favorite scenes with him and Grogu and just trying to picture his facial expressions during particular moments.
Din’s relationship with Grogu was one of the most important parts of the series. Din not only protected him and even did everything in his power to get him back, but he bonded with him, made him feel happy. It was crucial to when Luke Skywalker stated that Grogu wanted Din’s permission to go with the Jedi Master.
