Love the Jeepin for Jesus sticker. I have 2 on my Wrangler. Also a 7 mm socket will squeeze the back of the clips so you do not break them.
Remove the fender liner first. The clips will release very easily when squeezed from behind (inside of wheel well). This tip works for the front and back.
Yeah I noticed that after I did the video. But that would involve the normal inexperienced person to remove the wheel and pulling out jack and jack stands and just a lot more steps that aren’t fully needed.
Jeepin Tv the fender liners remove and install easily without lifting or wheel removal. I’ve that many times. Just flex the plastic liners. It won’t hurt them.
Dude, your channel. I love it. Great to find somebody doing these install videos on so many different products. Great job.
Thanks man glad you enjoy them
Nice video with a little fun touch
Thank you
Hey Coulton, enjoying your videos once again. The install didn't look bad at all. I like the addition if a camera man, good addition.
Yeah makes it a lot easier. Thanks for the support. Hoping to get a better camera soon to offer 4K footage
So sweet! I want to add this so badly but just don’t trust myself with the installation. Great job.
I truly believe anyone can do this install it’s really not that hard just be patient
Dude you said car. It's a JEEP. A JEEP is not a car. Lol. Jk
I love the Jeepin for Jesus sticker. I have one on my JK and on my wife's Rene.
I upgraded to jku now and have it on a windshield banner. I know I say car a lot lol.
When your Camera Guy has a French Manicure....Maybe you should say Camera Person ;)... Nice install and good luck!!
How’s the road noise after installation?? I’m VERY tempted to put one on but I already have a ton of road noise in general... Also do you have any tips to help limit road noise?
I've enjoyed a lot of your videos so far is a little Pro tip put some frog tape around the ends of your metal tools just like sockets for your do wheels so you don't scratch your rims excetera
Thanks man
Love the video. Quick Question...Does the ladder impair your vision when looking out of the side view mirror?
Nope not one bit. Just looks weird out the little window in the back. But who honestly can use that thing
Looks great!
The bolt head is 10mm that’s why you kept slipping off trying to tighten it up
First of all, I like your video presentations, interesting and useful. Please continue.
In this case, I regret, but I do not see the point of this gadget. In fact, there are more minuses than pluses. The only positive side is access to the roof rack, which can be achieved if you step on the tire.
But there are more minuses. What bothers me is connection under the roof rail, because it no longer fits tightly to the roof. Similar is with the mudguard. When you stand on the ladder you have to stand on tiptoe to not kicking the car.
Not for me, but for some higher fuel consumption is also minus.
Actually my fuel economy hasn’t changed because of it and yes I can see the concern of kicking the jeep. I personally like to go sit on top of my Jeep when I wanna think about things to do next or video ideas. So it works for me and for all. That is completely understandable.
Installed mine today. Having issues with the right hand side of the fender going back on. The top has a slight gap too. Is that normal?
Yes the top should have a small gap. On the right side if the cut the fit the ladder isn’t right it will cause some issues and make it a tight fit.
nice job and good info but i recommend possibly a rag or cloth when prying off tabs and in placement of the ladder..
Can you mount the ladder on the other side, I want to get that for my rooftop tent but it opens on the other side
What about a rear bumper for the renegade? BTW I liked the vid presentation!
Where can I get the name of buy a complete ladder ? Where your putting this ladder
nice renegaed we are working on 2017 trailhawk I am going buy it from my dad what size tires and brand I'm having hard time finding a good bulky tire I want use for offroading
The size most people use are 225/65r17 Bf Goodrich ko2 tires. If you go to Jeep Renegade Life on Facebook you can ask the group their are many different options.
does the ladder already come with a coating on it or is that something we need to do?
It’s an option now
any idea if this ladder will work on a 2018 Jeep Compass?
I cam to ask the same question
I literally just ordered this about 25 minuets ago. I was wondering does it create a lot of wind noise?
No it’s pretty quite
Okay thank you for the quick response. I am hoping that my ladder is here this week. I have to say after watching your video seems pretty easy. However I am not a fan of cutting the fender.
Most aren’t but it must be done to sit right. If not you risk loosing the fender.
Anthony, did you install this finally? Is it lots of wind noise? did you notice a difference from with and without?
Hey Coulton, Great videos on installs, can this ladder go on the passenger side?
No it sadly can’t. Two reasons. First the bracket is shaped for the driver side and second the gas tank lid is in the way sadly. Trying to figure that problem out actually.
When I get one of these I'm actually going to go through the trim piece with stainless steel Bolts from the inside
In fact if you get long enough. I think you can even add a bottom starting step over the tire
Awesome man just might be able too.
i have a 2018 renegade what is the best lift kit for it??
So I was wondering when you bought your pole ladder from Valkyrie did they send you an email with some kind of confirmation. I bought mine on Sunday and I have heard nothing from them. Would you have some kind of contact information for them.
Best way to reach them is go to there Facebook page and send them a message.
Dang it I don’t have Facebook
I’ll talk to the owner about doing a communication link on the website.
You the man. I wish lived closer to you I would love to go tear up some trails with you guys
How do you get the roof rack back so flush up top?
You just got to play with it and cut way some sometimes.
Is it just me, or is your fender trim no longer flush with the bumper after installation? Looks like the fender sticks out a little further...
It was actually really flush. It does have a slight bulge but you can trim more to make that go away.
@@ChimichangaTv I mean to say, the two black plastic trim pieces appear not to be flush with each other at the seam where they meet. For reference, the part of the flare you call a peckerhead while trying to reseat at 24:54. It looks like it sticks out further right there at those clips after you've completed the job. Does it not?
Ok so yeah. These plastic fenders are a bear to get back on. I believe what happened was the clips just didn’t lock back in right but after I played with it more I managed to get it back pretty flush
hey i am wanting to buy some of Valkyrie products but when i try to search it it just pulls up motorcycle parts!
Follow the linking in my Valkyrie videos it will take you too there sight.
good video thank you. i agree with whoever it was that said to wash it first !! also - what's up with the tattered flag?
where can i buy this ladder from
Valkyrieoffroad.com
What is the use of that thing
To get to the basket easier
If they can do this why don't they make a roof rack frame like the landrovers have and attach it in front and back like the ladder and incorporate the ladder.
Mostly cost. Stuff like that is expensive for small companies
22:05 the devil's in the details.
step 1 wash the car, opps, missed step 1.
If u ever give ur ladder away ill give 150$ for it lol :)
I think you need to buy some proper tools!
this could be a 5 minute video , try to make videos shorter PLEASE
jeepin for Jesus... really?
Yeah? It’s something I believe in that I’m not afraid to show. I believe that if you truly believe something your not afraid to let the world know.
But Jesus does not like war right? And jeep is a WAR product. :P
Lol this is true in Jeeps inception. But like iron man all things change over time. Does Jesus not fight a never ending war? A war to save all his children? Kinda how I see it personally.
how is killing saving?
War isn’t defined as people getting killed. War is a big fight more or less is it not?
