Honestly I'm very impressed by this yacht, it feels much bigger than 78ft. And the finishings are so beautiful, there is quality everywhere you look. Your comparison with the established brands is spot on. While their offers are great, they come short compared to this. But, one very Dutch thing you didn't go into. Price! Obviously due to the wide range of customization a fixed price is hard to give. An indication or a starting price would have been nice to mention for us mere mortals.
@@Yachtsforsaleblog That puts her right into the range of a Sanlorenzo SX76/88, which I instinctively feel is its main competitor in this size. Looking at the company website, they do have a very nice lineup in development. Curious to see if they also will develop a yacht in the 140ft range in a few years. Exciting builder to watch! 😃
Proud of my fellow Dutch yacht builders. She is indeed very beautiful from the outside and the inside and especially for 78 ft. it is the best in its class in my eyes and full alu is also great.
I can understand why you love this yacht David it is just beautiful inside and out, Love all the different colours and finishes and it is quite roomy through out. Great tour thank you.
I am literally addicted to yacht videos. This one is hands down my favorite. Once i’m a multi millionaire I will be owning one of these. Id ask for a fitted hot tub on the stern of the fly bridge instead of the sunbathing platform… and I’d pay whatever it took to get it.
This vessel is amazing. One of the best I've seen this year. It pulls a lot of weight for its size. The layout and design will last a long time going forward.
thanks that you bring some unique yachts to our attention outside of the mainstream build in grp. this "ankering" method is awesome and unique. thats really the best way to stay save and calm in a bay
Very nice, good size tender for this size yacht, cool drive system giving nessary extra space, very professional engine room, beautiful interior. An enthusiastic David. Good job guys.
I love the design and profile of this yacht. Love that there is a captain side door, deep walkable bulwarks and can be owner operated even for that size. Would be amazing to see something in the 60ft range where it could potentially be kitted out to be single handed with the proper tech. Oh, and that stake that plunges into the seabed, what a cool idea. First time hearing of it.
Awesome yacht I've been a fan ever since I watched the 105.. or lady "Croft". Insane height in all areas, the engine room looks like another guest cabin.. so spacious. 😍🥰
First class vessel Dave! Having aft cockpit heated means no need for interior dinning! I dont no why production builders dont heat aft cockpit on smaller range yachts from 50 to 60 feet so they dont have to put a dinning table in the saloon! ! This is stunning absolutely stunning vessel! Happy sailing all and God bless all🙏💛⚓🛥
I would imagine the spud pole usage would, or could , be dangerous for reefs, etc. Not everybody is concerned about things past their nose. Great walk through!
The seating in the salon was the iceing on the cake for me .i have never seen that seating capacity in a 78 foot yacht. I wasnt sure about the placement of the galley but makes sense .perfectly placed to sevice both area's.
7:23 also known as submarine defense system ;-) Great idea, though not sure if it causes more harm to the seafloor than an anchor so that would be interesting to know... this said for sustainability reasons many yacht owners even switched to dynamic positioning systems. Overall a great yacht which was well executed with a nice General Arrangement plan.... even though I am getting a few Texan country club vibes due to the chosen color pattern.
I would think, that when lowering the anchor, you might drag it over/through the ground. While these poles might just put 2 holes in the ground. But they will work in comparable still waters only, with not much of waves and slow going waters. But this is only what I guess - without any experience.
I think this is the boat built by the three retired Dutch boat builders, this was a badass boat, had a lot of different unique angles to it, but basically it's the Volvo of the high seas which could be a good thing I suppose.. A lot of neat features this boat had
David, you were looking for the brands 'Spot Zero' and 'Skyhook'. Van DerValk claims they are they most accommodating shipyard with custom requests. Gotta say though that other than this yacht being buikt out of GRP and Van DerValk using primarily aluminum, this does seem like a more custom shipyard. But I've never ordered a yacht so I wouldn't know. Even Bering says their yachts under 24m are 'semi-custom'.
Nice tour David, but did you mention the cruising speed/top speed/range of this yacht? If so, I missed it. Very clever design, I would guess the owner is a highly-experienced yachtsman. But why was an ocean-going yacht like this located in a dinky lake when you toured it? The galley did not impress me -- there was minimal storage space for food. But the huge array of champagne bottles and glasses indicates the owner has other things on his mind than food! Unusual yacht with many appealing features and ideas, well-executed.
12:11 my inner geek wants to know if there is an API for that? I can tie it into ChatGPT or similar local LLM and lets say Eleven Labs for the text to speech voice... Boom you have a ships computer right out of Star Trek and fairly easy to implement. Take it one step further be easy to do as well. Tie the new ships computer up to a SDR (radio) ... control the ship via GMRS radio ... do language translations via VHF radio on the fly... possibilities are endless. Just don't tell the FCC the radio part, they might frown on that.
The seaweed police in Ibiza would really be on your case with the spud pole, bad enough your anchor chain touching the seaweed it’s become a nightmare trying to anchor anywhere now. But I like the idea no swinging at anchor with this.
When you anchor in the popular places you have to anchor in sand to protect the Poseidon seaweed it’s now protected to preserve the marine life that lives in it, the authorities patrol the beach anchorage’s and have a device that lets them look into the depths to see where you have anchored if you are even touching the seaweed they give out big fines.
78ft is borderline owner operator and i have always been a fan of the Absolute Navetta yachts but i have to say this is stunning especially for family or friends trips, i am not sure if i missed it but what was the range of this yacht
Beautiful boat, realy love it. Nice to see that the shipyard is doing fine, they were scammed by a 'buyer' pretty hard last april. One point of critice, this looks like an explorer yacht but it is not. Dont think you can go into rough weather like a Nordhavn or a Bering yacht. This is in style only.
Awesome boat! Slight correction perhaps - American black walnut isnt especially expensive, not for a boat like this, or heavy, it weighs similar to MDF. I use it a lot in my own work, it's one of the lowest quality timbers I use, but then I use a lot of genuinely heavy and expensive exotics. Also honestly I wouldnt choose it for a boat like this, it tends to bleach pretty heavily in sunlight, and isnt especially pretty. Strange choice, perhaps a custom request.
Also - may have missed it but it would be helpful to put all of the specs in the title or the about section (length, width, amount of draft, range, etc.).
A beautiful thing and being Dutch built no doubt superb quality, hard to relay to those that don't know, how incredible the Dutch are building yachts. There is your Skoda run of the mill plastic boat builders and then there is Rolls Royce Aluminium and steel Dutch builders. Whether its Feadship, Royal Huisman, Mulder, Haakvort et al , just a different league. Only downside to this yacht is she is on IPS so for true blue water cruisers not really an option . As a med boat thought probably the best you can get.
@@llspragulus No, I just googled Holterman x-treme 78 fly, range. It's a coast hugger, They say that it's certified for open ocean but the range dictates 200 miles out with 200 miles back. Great for coast hugging the Mediterranean.😁
