  • Backstage at the Nova Rock Festival 2024, a unique artistic synergy unfolded in an interview with Mina Caputo, the musician and painter from the band Life of Agony, and renowned painter Tom Lohner.
They sat before their new collaborative artwork, which debuted at the festival, marking their first projects.During the discussion, Caputo and Lohner explored their distinct creative processes. Caputo, driven by spontaneity, spoke about how to channel raw emotions directly onto the canvas, capturing the essence of feelings in real-time. In contrast, Lohner described his methodical approach, well thought out - constructing the composition of his paintings before beginning the actual work.Their collaborative piece reflects the fusion of these contrasting styles, centered around the theme of lasting legacies, inspired by icons Andy Warhol and David Bowie.
This artwork symbolizes how the influences of Warhol and Bowie transcend their lifetimes, continuing to inspire people today. This project represents the start of an exciting journey for Caputo and Lohner, who anticipate learning from each other's techniques and perspectives, blending their artistic expressions into cohesive works that celebrate their diverse approaches to creativity.
