Agios Petros beach in Andros is the longest beach on the island and is almost a kilometer long. It is so long that even on days when the island is crowded, around August, it is not suffocating. Therefore you will never worry about where to lay your towels and mats.
It seems somewhat paradoxical that this beach has always maintained its two fundamental elements, it is both relaxing and cosmopolitan at the same time. While it seems deserted, Agios Petros beach in Andros is full of people. Its waters are clear because the sea is open and the sand is golden. It even looks very similar to the sandy beach of Golden Beach.
Agios Petros beach in Andros is located close to both Batsi and Gavrio and is, therefore, a very easy and safe choice for swimming. Youth and families with young children prefer it. There are many beach bars and tavernas to choose from and you can sit on sunbeds, but also place your own equipment.
Many people also prefer the beach for its beautiful rocks on which they can sit and bask in the warm summer sun. You will also find wonderful beach bars such as San Pedro Beach Bar and Kaliva Beach Bar, as well as traditional tavernas. Finally, Agios Petros beach in Andros is also suitable for running and walking because of its very large sandy beach.
