I played this for my exam three years ago and I remember listening to your interpretation A LOT when I was working on it. You really helped me get the "vibe" of this piece and even 3 years later I come back to this video so thank you. ❤️
I had the privilege of playing with Ian Clarke a couple of summers ago and hadn't heard this piece since - you did it justice! What a fabulous performance :)
This is the only song that causes me to shed tears every single time I listen to it. Deep Blue is such a lovely piece and I would absolutely love to play it someday. Ian Clarke is one of my all time favorite composers and I’ve been lucky enough to play Hypnosis, Within, and Maya. Thank you so much for sharing your performance of this piece. You play so beautifully and with so much emotion.
Madie Sue have you tried the great train race ? When you can finally play it in concert and play it good, you feel like you’ve achieved something, perhaps it was because it was my first clarke piece
Alcherelf I have heard the song and it’s super cool! I have not yet played it, but I would like to someday. I would also really like to play Deep Blue and Orange Dawn. ^-^
this is definitely my favorite recording of this piece...everyone hails emma resmini's but her bends aren't nearly as smooth imo; you can hear when she moves her fingers. then again she was 14 so whatever, right. anyway there's so much emotion in your playing. really hits. i'd put it on my playlist "ballads to cry to on a summer evening" on spotify if it was available.
Even after all these years, i can't seem to find a better interpretation of this piece ❤

All of Ian Clarke’s music is as amazing as this. Such a talented writer.

You truly are a great musician.
This is my first time hearing this piece and you've made it sound so splendid and beautifull.
I love this song. My band friend introduced me to it and it’s awesome
My band teacher showed me this like today

The poor pianist at 0:52 :( Very obvious mistake! Well done Leah!
