Melanie!! I watched your week workout vlog yesterday as motivation and for the first time in 4 years I did a 30 minute run with no breaks. Thank you for being so consistent with uploads. It inspires me to be more consistent for my own health and journey. Appreciate you ❤️
I don’t know if I’m going to correctly express this, but I just wanted to say thank you because I always get inspired by your videos. I’ve just felt so tired and I’m really hard on myself because I think society makes me feel like I have to grind grind grind and I’m not doing enough. But your videos always make me feel like I can do good things for myself and actually enjoy them. Because some influencers can make me feel like I HAVE to do these self improvement things or else I’m a failure. Like self care is a whole nother stressful second job. But you seem like you really love what you’re doing. And others can come off as preaching and they don’t show the parts where they actually hate what they’re trying to give advice on. I don’t know if this makes sense, but just thanks for calming my brain a little? lol 🫶
Cassie my Love, when it comes to self care, just listen to your own voice in your head & listen to your body & what it's trying to tell you. Just do what feels right for you as self care looks different for everyone ❤ block out all the outside noise & listen to your own intuition ✨ You can't get something wrong that feels right for you & your lifestyle xxx
Hi Mel! Just wanted to tell you how proud of you I am! I’ve been a quiet watcher for over a year and I’m so fudging proud of how much progress you’ve been making! Also, thanks for posting today, I left a super toxic relationship and my heart is super hurt right now so these vibes are definitely needed! Love you! ❤
I just love the idea of making your spare room your dojo! Can't wait to see the result. You just gave me an idea for the future when I do get a home or new apartment!
The way I was having an anxiety attack and boom a new upload?! Immediate relief literally my favorite time of the week is to see you upload you have no idea how much it helps and how much I appreciate you! Keep doing what you’re doing we love you! ❤
SHE POSTED WOOHOO!! Love your videos so much girl! They always keep me so disciplined in my life. Your content is a huge stress relief from all of my copious amounts of school work!
Mat , oh Mat cleaning the fridge And holding the pads for you Melanie was the best part!! Kudos to you both being the sexiest and cutest couple. Huge fan!!
My cats face looks like Moons OMFG too cute! Great work you're doing girlie, love to see it . Thank you for the motivation I constantly need. Inspirational.🎉
you have every right to keep your life as much private as you want and I think its amazing that you do that by not showing your bf Id do the same if I was an influencer! you both are the cutest couple ever (L)
Hi Mel 😊 I work in healthcare and one of good family friends is also a dermatologist, it’s completely fine to wash your hair on a daily basis and it’s actually recommended if you regularly engage in activities that make you sweat. Washing it regularly (every other day, every day, or every few days) is recommended is your hair texture can handle it. The sweat, oil, sebum builds up on the scalp the same way that it does on the skin, so you shouldn’t go long without cleansing it. Hope this is helpful 😊
This has come at the perfect time, I've used it twice now and it's created such clarity and peace in a really tricky moment. Thank you for being there every step of the way Adriene ❤
Hey Mel I have a quick question, first, I love your videos they always inspire me. Second, would you ever do any follow-along workout videos in the near future? Thank you 💛
You can actually get stick on mirror pieces like squares on Shein and you could do pretty much a whole wall in your little gym that would be so awesome. Oh my goodness goals.!
just moved into my new place after 1 month + of moving and leasing headaches, SO excited to get into a new routine here 🥰 love your videos for inspiration
Hi, I love your lengthy vlogs, and I really enjoy them, especially on the weekend after a long week. It's the perfect remedy to unwind and chill, so thank you. For my hair, personally, because I wear the hijab I wash it once a week because it causes my hair to break and fall. I also started using way less product because I feel like the only thing I really need is Argan Oil on all my hair when I feel like it needs a boost but that's all it needs, and also it's been almost a year and not heat on my hair is doing wonders, I now get it styled only when I get it cut.
Hi, im a licensed cosmetologist first of all I love your videos. Second of all. It depends on your hair type. If you get super oily hair, you wanna wash it more frequently if your hair is more dry and brittle wants to twice a week is good.
About washing hair!! For years I've stretched my wash day from 2 days to 2 weeks, and I think I've found my perfect middle in once or twice a week! Because I tried to clean them once a month for more than a year, my scalp itches constantly and I've got dandruff (the goal was to just go as far as I could) 😂 pretty sure there's more to it, but now Im really grateful I can go 3 days and still have pretty "clean" hair that just doesnt look and feel oily. But going too long without cleaning the sebum didnt help me much 🤷♀️☺️
When you were working out with Matt and your mom was cheering you on 🥲 that was SO cute! I've been wanting to put my tree up since the 1st but have NOT had time... gonna do it Sunday after my best friends wedding!!
I wash my hair once or twice a week, which is base off the seasons, if hair starts to get too oily where it's weighed down, as well as, if you sweat a lot in your head. Hair type, texture, ethnicity plays a part, so I say test it out and see what works best for your hair taking bit and pieces from resources. As time goes on you'll learn your hair along the way and what routine works best. Hope this help!!!❤
The amount of times a week you should wash your hair depends on your scalp. If you have a history of oily hair wash more frequently, if not only once or twice a week is good. I prefer to always wash my hair, or at least rinse, after a run because of the scalp sweat!
How often you wash your hair depends on the texture of your hair. The curlier your hair is the longer it takes for those natural oils to travel down the hair shaft.
Wash your hair once a week whatever it is that you need to do I mean if your scalp is irritated or you feel like you have to wash it before the weekend comes then just condition it and I don't I condition it if I feel like you have to clean it. Moisturize and you just cleaned your hair without stripping it❤❤❤
Tbh I struggled with finding a balance for wash days too, what works for me is washing every 2 days with dandruff shampoo and only using one styling product. When I do a whole routine with 3 products my hair is heavy and gross the next day.
Tbh I think it depends on each person because ME I cannot skip hair washes my scalp gets to greasy ! & it ends up itching so bad… and if I even try going two days without washing I start getting dandruff
Hair washing is dependent on your hair type and texture. You have pretty thick strands with big wads of hair, so realistically without considering sweat from working out you could get away with 3-4 days of not washing. However- because you workout a lot it is important you remove the sweat since that creates buildup and can alter your scalp PH and make you get dermatitis and dandruff. Water is usually not strong enough to fully lift all the sweat and debris off the scalp, so you might want to invest in micellar water shampoo (very low striping, gentle cleanser just to lift the sweat) and than do your full, stronger shampoo maybe every 3 days.
One thing that you definitely should not do for your hair is to tie it in a bun while it’s wet!! Wet hair is sensitive and easy to break, try to just clip it while it air dries ❤
So on the hair comment, personally I wash my hair 2-3 times a week and usually less if I’m not as active. I would say depending on your activity amount is more how you should go off it! My husband works and changes semi truck tires for a living but he still only washes his hair about 3-4 times a week. It’s helped his psoriasis a lot but also his hair is constantly growing. I personally stopped washing my hair every day because I noticed it breaking too much, I always felt dry (even with leave in conditioners and products, and I have Polynesian hair), super hard to manage etc. and I felt like it wasn’t growing quickly and wasn’t that healthy. I changed up my routine and tbh, I’ve noticed my hair stay longer and healthier with my own natural oils vs all the add ins I used to use, I still use the “hairitage” products myself so, I’ll use those leave in products but other than that I haven’t personally had a bad experience from taking down how often I wash my hair, I hope insight this helps! 😁🫶🏼 14:46
hair wash routine depends on your hair! Personally, I have to wash every day or every other day, and it's not damaging. People with thicker, curlier hair can go longer! It's a myth that washing your hair everyday is bad :)
LOVE the videos but maybe you could put the camera higher and not pointing towards a light source? It's extremely blurry at times, Or an additional ring light? Either way thanks for the motivation!
it's actually bad to not wash it, if it's dirty, wash it! the dirt/sweat can clog your hair follicle & cause it to not grow at it's fastest rate ☺️ hope this helps🩷
Depending on how much you sweat and if you use a lot of products that could build up will determine how long you should wait to wash your hair. Every 3rd day is good to once a week. I honestly don’t understand the washing the hair everyday thing because your scalp hasn’t produced enough oils to weigh it down in 24 hours
There is no correct answer about the hair question you had, if your hair feels good after a week of no washing then that means your hair can manage it. It's the same with mine, I have very curly / coily hair that does not like being washed every single day, I get away with washing it just once a week and across that week I will add just a little bit of moisturizer and oil. The best advice I can give is test it out, wait a week to wash your hair, then wash it every day for an entire week. If your hair feels icky waiting a full week, switch it to every other day or every other two days. Find what works for your hair and scalp.
HI MELANIE! Love watching your channel and how much you've grown! I went to go click ur gymshark link but its invalid :( I want to support u girl, plz update it
