Obviously it would take a bit more coding, but have you guys thought of looking into a pairing methodology that would act similar to the way RIP or OSPF works in computer networking technology? Basically, if all of the devices in a group intercom knew the path to begin with, they should be able to figure out how to reestablish the group if someone falls out, by either assuming the other devices were still available and trying to connect or by using a discovery method where they "ping out" in an attempt to find their other peers they were initially in a group with. Add that technology, and group intercom become a whole lot sexier.
Hey sena please solve my problem We are 7 riders connected manually (the 5 seconds jog dial method) when it disconnects in middle of the ride we don't know how many jog dials presses we need to talk all together again .. we just keep pressing randomly untill it works and it is really frustrating We really love the product please help

But if the Creator or hub leaves, none of the remaining group can communicate until there's a new hub. Is there a method that allows 3-4 users to pair to all of the members creating a mesh network? That way no matter who leaves, there's no need to reconnect any remaining members. Is this possible with three or four 20S units?
For 3 users there is, but for 4 users there is not. Pairing them together in a chain is the only way you can connect 4 or more headsets together so that they can all talk at the same time. However, you can pair all of the members to each other for every possible pairing combination for 4 headsets (A to B, A to C, A to D, B to C, B to D, C to D) so that A can connect to B, A can connect to C, A can connect to D and so on for 1-to-1 intercom conversations. With this pairing method you can connect three headsets together, A to B and A to C to create a three-way intercom conference with A as the hub, but you will not be able to connect A to D to create a four-way intercom conference. But, if one of the members leaves (let's say C), causing someone they're linked to to be disconnected (let's say D) then any of the remaining members (A or B) will be able to reconnect to headset D that got disconnected from the group when headset C left. Or headset D tap the Jog Dial the specific number of times so that it can connect to either A or B for a three-way intercom conversation. This method is not the most efficient because every headset would need to remember how many taps of the Jog Dial it would require to connect to a specific headset so that everyone can communicate with each other. For the daisy chaining method, each headset is only paired to 1-2 other headsets. In order to join their conversation in the Group Intercom, the creator of the group would need to 1)end the current Group Intercom conversation 2)scan for your headset, 3)add it to their list, 4)click the check box next to your headset, 5)save the list to their 20S then 6)activate Group Intercom using the app or through the headset. The creator's headset will connect everyone together that has the box checked next their headset on the app.
Hi. The person answering the phone call will only talk to the other person on phone. The other members of the group will not hear the phone call conversation. Thanks.
I've had 3 sets of 20's EVO for 4 years now and they've always been so difficult to figure out. It seems that they created to large a beast of uses for these things and it cancels out the one feature that everyone needs. You should be able to simply turn them all on anytime after pair in any order and they all connect right away. It's ridiculous and I tell everyone not to buy these unless they plan to spend hours on end trying to figure all this out. I'm super technical and still have a hard time with the endless procedures and options.
If riding, and someone drops out of range, does the remaining group stay in tact for group intercom? Assuming after a few minutes the person catches up, do they automatically rejoin the group?
nope, we have to restart connectnig the group again. if u want a device that auto connect intercom when one of the group intercom members are out of range and come back u should try intercom device with mesh intercom system. u can try cardo scala packtalk or sena 30k
Can you make a video on how to do the group intercom with the 10S. We followed the instructions and it was a nightmare yesterday on our trip to Wales and back.
This shows that the group connection is a daisy chain linkage network. This is inefficient and inconvenient, especially if one of the users disconnects and everyone is affected and the network is broken up. A star network linkage is far better in a biking environment. More work on the star hub user, but should be doable, especially with RideConnect on smartphones
Hi Thomas. Please check out the Mesh Intercom feature on our products which is better than a star configuration to connect multiple users together without the need for a smartphone.

OK, so when I meet up with my friends who have a pair of 20s intercoms, how the heck do I join their conversation with my 20s? We cant figure it out.

In group intercom incase if the main connector receives a phone call then will the other members also hear what is the main connector talking ?

when i dropped out of range with two others they both carried on talking! well im pretty sure they did

It would be much better if it didn't split into 2 groups when one person drops out. Having to re-group while on the road is a pain.
i know, this is a minus point of bluetooth intercom. auto connect intercom without re-group stuff like this only work on mesh intercom system
