Nice, glad to see something new come out. Seems like it could brighten up anything you would need to. Would probably use it on my neck humbucker on my LP.
Sounds great, really juicy and thick. Catalinbread makes a ton of really cool, unique, great sounding fx and this is no exception, I suppose it's possibly a bit of a reaction to the JHS color box which also is fantastic sounding and versatile. Thanks, Jay, for always being clear about exactly how you're putting a pedal through its paces regarding voltage, amp settings, etc. Great chops as per usual. Congrats on your upcoming album, looking forward to it!
BTW Trident recording desks had a real zip to their preamps, especially when running to 1"- 2" tape, slamming in the red...alot of hot, 80s shred guitar tracks were recorded on Trident Consoles 🤟
Seems like it would work in about any rig one way or another. I would probably use it all the time. Guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals could all benefit from this one way or another probably. I would definitely try it on any of those. Try stacking that with a drive or two see what you can do. I’m betting it’s a team player. Cool demonstration.
@JayLeonardJ what is the big difference between open and closed back i have the peavey 20w mh and I felt like it was bass heavy maybe my environment it was recommended i get it off the floor via stand or crate haven't done it yet but what would that really do
My friend's dad would love this. I remember when we were young he was always talking about looking for trim
well done.
😂😂😂😂
Dude!!! That Jaguar is amazing. Sounds killer!!

Love your hectic playing :D
You are awesome - love your playing and love hearing you work through new gear - way to go Jay!
sounds great and super versatile, and it cleans incredibly well with the guitar volume knob! great playing as usual

Every time Jay demos anything I immediately check my bank account just to keep my poor ass grounded 😂
JUST got the email in my inbox, and now here you review pops!
Serendipity now!
great sounding pedal- could be very useful
ayyyyy Jay u slayed this dem0 big tyme..the intro licks 4real showed the value of this pedal, never heard of the trident rack days
Sounds great I have been wanting a black n white pedalboard for fun and this seems like a perfect fuzz that can clean up but can get nastay
Now I wanna hear this with a P90!

Awesome! My only experience with the Trident channels are the plugins. Wish I could hear a real one in person!

Cool demonstration.
It definitely is a team player. Super versatile box!
Did ppl run the pre into their amp back in the day? Or were they boosting the recorded track?
What’s the difference in this and a JHS Crayon?
sounds less thick (not in a bad way) and less bit-crushy. you can't turn the gain up all the way on a crayon wout it turning into a spitty fuzz.
Can we have a rig update and do you have a digital rig??
Lately, it has been a Bad Cat Hot Cat or a Tone King Imperial head plugged into a 2x12 closed back cab with Vintage 30s.
@JayLeonardJ pedals your currently using. I always like knowing what goes on the board as the year changes.

Matt Friedman, they made a pedal for you
You could’ve farted into your pickups and it would’ve sounded better.
