They sort of did two generations ago but from what I've heard it was bad
Fun fact there's already a Spyro/Crash cross over it came out on the game boy advance and had two different versions a purple version for Crash and a orange version for Spyro! It did not sell well in fact lol

It seems like Super Mario Sunshine too with the water jet in that game too aiding in platforming and additional gameplay for platformers.

They actually are charging seventy dollars. I believe it is part of Sony's new strategy that they were doing with Miles Morales where they will make games a few parts rather than have a 60 to 100 hour game. I think they want to do this because it allows to spend more on less to ensure that the product is great out of the box unlike some previous games that were bugged at the beginning like Days Gone.
