Thanks for posting this. The guest jammers--like these people, and the house band--often deliver some great musical vibes. I've even been up there and put out a joyful albeit somewhat "rough" noise. However, if you visit again, I highly recommend being there when the jam starts, to hear and document the house band "warm up" the crowd. Not that the others aren't good; just that Brian and his band usually channel out some of the best World Class roots blues out there. Brian may consider this cheap flattery, but he is my favorite slide guitarist, and I grew up in Georgia with Duane Allman not so far away.
Ok, Cool. I am planning on going next Saturday…if nothing unforeseeable happens. It is a cool place and the vide is good. The reason we found “Engelen” was in part because a local landmark in the old hometown the “C.C.Pub” was closed (new landlord didn’t like live music and basically evicted the pub owner) but that´s another story. My dad has basically played drums since the 60s… and I enjoy tagging along.
Nice! Thanks for coming, documenting and welcome back!
Thank you!
And I will bee back!
Great sounding blues from the other side of the pond. I used to carry a cheap Zoom audio recorder in my bag just in case.
Thank you for the tip! Might be something for the future…
