Love my Duster. It’s the face-lifted model, bought new last year, and I’m very pleased with it. Everyone mentions the scratchy plastics - yes, there are, but how often do you drive round scratching the plastic? I decided I’d rather save many thousands of £££ over the equivalent Audi and get a Duster regardless. It’s really nice to drive, wireless AirPlay, all round reversing cameras, cruise control, speed limiter, and for the price it’s amazing value. Three friends have Dusters too, and they have found them reliable and easy to drive. Mine gets a fair bit of off road work up the farm tracks and across fields, and handles it all admirably. Lots of boot space for animal feed, hay and the occasional orphaned lamb! I ran Audis for 22 years but am just as happy with my cheap Duster.
I feel the same about my stepway. Its a cracker.
Petrol Ped did a review on the Duster a couple of days ago and rated it very highly. Lots of people in his comments said the same. I didn’t know Renault make them. Cars are getting too expensive for ordinary people but this seems like excellent value for money
Couldn't you got like a cheap toyota corolla would've probably been better off with that or a low spec captur or kajar
That Duster, absolutely perfect car. Most comfortable vehicle I've been in, got a wrecked back & I can go any distance in the Duster. Get one of the after market fitted camp beds/kitchen for the back & you're sorted 👍 Modern day People's car.
When you approach junctions bud, never assume the drivers seem you, tbh I slow right down, just in case they pull out, unfortunately on bikes the airbag is your body.
A new subscriber 👍
Keep up the good work
It's hard to find a honest car salesperson and helps and raises money for the charities 👍♥️
Much appreciated
I love my Duster - goes well sips diesel and recently got 4 new tyres fitted and that transformed the ride/handling - its on 82k miles too. If the light on the dash is the spanner it means an oil service is due thats all
I was gonna say, mobility scooter 🤣🤣👍🏻
JAMES!!!!! welcome to the world of 2 wheels. You will have a blast mate. If I'm ever down your way on a 2 wheel holiday, I will definitely pop in to say hello. Keep us up to date with it all mate.
Bought a new bog standard 1.0tce Duster nearly 3yrs ago. No frills very basic interior but simply one of the best cars I've driven. Bang for buck you won't buy better.
I had a Dyane that I hand painted in desert cam back in the day - no issues could leave it anywhere. Looking at the few survivors now I'd expect I couldn't just abandon it now as it would be a theft magnet
Great cars Dusters - I had the later (current) model for a few years and really enjoyed it. My brother in law has it now and he loves it too - will probably keep it for years.......
15:17 Or it's the wing and bumper that are the original colour 🤣
Hi James, really enjoyed your get-together with Joe from Shifting Metal at the auction the other day !!! he is a nice guy and has started to do a lot of charity auctions like yourself 👌👌
The 07 reg Fiesta, you can tell by looking at the back of it (and the fact it's an 07 reg) that it's the facelifted model, but the front bumper, headlights and fog light are that from a pre face-lift (2002- 2005) model.
not that clued up tbh
It's o2 sensor bud, it always is on old fiestas, check live data to see if its got voltage, it'll just come back on. Tbh I'd have chucked one in, 10 mins, quick mask up, blag some base coat and lacquer on, 1295 it.
I knew it was a motorcycle! Glad to see you're going for the motorcycle licence
Superb! Love my Duster Diesel. Glad you like yours 💪💪😀😀👍👍
I've got the Duster 4x4..... it replaced my Landrover and I love it. I've had it 5 years now and I'd have another. It's not got the Landrovers towing capacity but it's far cheaper to run and it's great off road with the right tyres
115k miles now (my Jag has 160k)
Front end on that duster looks very bright, hope you've hpi,d it mate, tbh it looks like the wrong white, if you blow some of the correct colour to bridge the wing and the door it will help mask it, fade it into the door and wing.
It certainly looks a different shade of white.
@@markcherriman6136 yes it looks it.
You brought yourself a motorbike, I have seen the video with you and shifting_metal, loved can't wait for the next video. Good to see you selling cars, you got some great stock. Need to give Joe one of those fresheners.
Cheers
Mate drives a white Duster. Loves it
they are cracking
In video description
I was just thinking about old Chopsy Wopsy and a new video dropped - Hooray!!👍👍
Hi James, have you ever used the Topdon Readers on mercedes cars? I have a 2005 350 SL and wondered if it would be of any use for it. Cheers.
Not sure on 2005 tbh
my sister is on her 3rd duster she loves them, she has the 1.3 turbo petrols tho....no slouches
Hello James, what an interesting and varied video - best wishes from Lincolnshire
Glad you enjoyed it
Many "home traders" have been caught out. If the painter buys cars, does them up and sells them at a profit, he becomes a trader as far as HMRC is concerned and as far as Trading Standards are concerned. Apart from having to pay tax on profits, he must do his best to verify cars' mileages and he is subject to consumer law on any cars he sells in the same way as any other trader. The fact that he isn't doing it through his painting business doesn't alter this.
Used to live in Weare Gifford and loved the Cyder Press..good old days working at North Devon Meat
That dacia has strange black bits at the bottom of the wings.Probaly stands out more in white
That duster looks like the front end is a different colour ?
So the Fiesta fault was the heater circuit on the pre cat O2 sensor. You could have run the O2 sensor test that was on that hand held topdon.
Yes it had that feature
Hope it's was cheap enough mate, off colour front and mil light on, if it was a sub sale I've have scanned it first, tbh I'd not have gone for it as front ends a bit too obvious, as you know you don't want mil lights on diesels, let's hope it's just a glow plug (?)
Yes think that must be camera thing, not noticeable here
@@ChopsGarage must be then, just looks a lot brighter, tell customers mil lights not on, its just the camera (!)
You could have pressure washed the jazz matrix in situ bud, works every time, just stick the nossel in the heater pipe, one way then the other.
We tried few times. Was having none of it
@@ChopsGarage more pressure mate!
@@ChopsGarage I've rigged up a couple of pipes and put caustic soda in on really blocked ones.
@@ChopsGarage it's unusual these days for maxrix to block, what with modern corrosion resisting anti freeze.
My dad had a duster for 3 years covering 30k miles a year, never spent a penny on it. Couldn’t fault it
ideal
That citron piccasso I'd have been ashamed to give it to you in that condition the interior was rank james
I'm not 100% but weren't you wanting a vespa?
The pipe from the airbox is missing on that 07 fiesta .
Welcome to the biker club chops , take your time and ride safe . Guess what ive just bought on your recommendation . A jaguar xf 3.0 deisel what a hoot . Reg number suits the car also ..v6xfu 😊
Nice buy! fly don't they
@@ChopsGarage just a bit 😁
James, if someone PXs a car and signs to say there aren’t any known problems and then you find a ‘hidden’ issue, do you have any comeback?
Yes if I can prove they knew , I could place a small claims
Great video chops.
I was thinking either a G Wizz or Sinclair C5
Range Rover.....it was just a matter of time!
15:55 it’s got a pre facelift front end on it
You make me feel old when you say the OG at AR! I’m sure it was only last week!
lol, time flies eh!
Dusters obviously been damaged both wings are different colour and the gaps are terrible
What he says below, seen a load, all like that
That Fiesta is bad news - pre-facelift front end on a post-facelift car - so it's been crashed!
That fiestas a bomb scare more hits than the Beatles and all that lol 😢 it’s had a tough paper round
Where is the link for the topdon diagnostic unit?
Smart car in the van?
I have reverse on my bike, 1500 Goldwing ,soon to be up for sale 😢😢
See the Greggs lorry going past.
It wasn’t Greggs it was GREGORY 😂
Evening all
Nice one
Thanks 🔥
Only downside with these is 1 ncap star. But part of me thinks that ncap is European so they want any advantage over more expensive western European cars to be as small as possible.
I don't know what the torque is on that bud, ha, ha.
Remember you only ended up on that website because you were searching for tractors.
As the MP said, ha, ha.
lol

Be careful on the bike bud, you'll be stuffed if you break a leg.
Ill go steady
@@ChopsGarage it's not you, it's the car drivers bud.
How old are you chops???? I thought all old timers got their bike license automatically when they passed normal car test.
No, your restricted to 125cc until he passes his bike test, still have to do a cbt, back in the day you could ride on L plates up to 250cc
I'm an old timer but we still had to pass a bike test to ride bikes. It was different back then and learners could ride up to 250cc, it was much better. 😜👍
@@roystonvehicles9129 well I never knew that!
50cc, moped no cbt or L plates required if full car before 01/02/2001
@@nickgott5842 I don't think a 50cc moped would actually move with James on it, he's a big lad.
There based on Renault actually more reliable than a Renault
great cars cheap go anywhere cars
Get some proper direct access lessons bud, the teacher will follow you before you pick up bad habits riding on your own, ride defensively, never think a car has seen you, trust the bike to get you round corners, don't bottle it and brake mid corner, don't grab a handful of the front brake, always be looking round, mirrors, you'll have a great time, if you stay on of course (!)
Shame it's not a 4wd
You’re right about Nissans, they never paint their cars properly. Better as used cars, completely overpriced as new.
Please raffle the saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaab!
Someone is keen to buy
Push bike .?
Anybody bothered about a few scratches in a cheap make of car ....
agreed, warning sign if they are
Careful if it's a Chinese bike they fall to peaces very quickly. Honda's don't..
lol
@@ChopsGarageI like Chinese bikes, I always buy them when I see them at the auction, had a mutt fat sabbath last year, finance repo, only done 80 miles, sold it in first couple of hours, had a fully electric nui the other week, 22 plate only on 220 miles,
When I see cars like that blue fiesta,I can't help but wonder what sort of pigsty the owner lives in. I imagine their houses are as filthy as their car interior.
Why do you want a bike license. Is this a mid life thing. Just kidding ha ha you have fun.
👍
Careful on that bike James. You’ll be so venerable. Think bike!
Defo
@@ChopsGaragewent on an road craft bike course to Wales a while ago, came top of the class (ha, ha) day before 2 riders had been killed on the same roads (!)
